When Ross Magnaye and Shane Stafford started Serai, their vision was to create a restaurant that would fit perfectly in the heart of the Philippines. To replicate the spirit, vitality, passion and sense of fun, they knew Serai would become a home from home for our diners.

    This restaurant was fantastic, highly recommended for everything you think Of when thinking of a n amazing Melbourne dinner experience. Shout out to Tom who was great as our white person. Can’t wait to return, the food vibe and staff were incredible.

    We had a lovely dinner at Serai. The service was casual, friendly and full of personality. The food was great, good mix of flavours and texture although the portions were enormous and we over ordered by a lot even though we followed the recommended amount by the bar team. The only other thing is that the bathrooms needed to be stocked a bit more (soap and towels). I really enjoyed the dinner and the am ience was great !

    Thank you to Ross and staff, we felt so valued and were very well looked after. The staff assisted with meal recommendations, as this was our first experience to Phillipino cuisine. The food was sensational. I would recommend Serai Kitchen to anyone.

    First time at Serai and we were so impressed! Incredible food, ambience and service. All dishes were consistently generous, interesting, fresh, vibrant, punchy and of course, delicious. Highly recommend the Selat lumpia, Seared Kangaroo Kilawin, Mc scallop, Kare Kare hash brown, king prawns, lamb ribs, pig head tacos and cake with brown butter ice cream. The team was energetic, attentive and made the night so memorable, we will be back!

    I had been waiting since the first year of opening to try Serai. The food was delicious and the amount of food we orered was more than sufficient for two people. The flavours were very interesting! There were a few things that could be improved or changed, but I would definitely go back to try the other dishes on the menu. I think the highlight of the meal were the oysters since I dont like oysters but i would definitely eat the one at Serai again. The service was really good and friendly. Our waiter was well informed about the menu and took his time to explain the concept and guided us how to the order. We almost skipped dessert but then tried the casava cake on the witer's recommendation which was amnazing. My overall experince at Seria was good.
