When Ross Magnaye and Shane Stafford started Serai, their vision was to create a restaurant that would fit perfectly in the heart of the Philippines. To replicate the spirit, vitality, passion and sense of fun, they knew Serai would become a home from home for our diners.

​At our restaurant, right in the heart of Melbourne, you can watch the chefs prepare and fresh food daily in our open kitchen at the chef’s omakase table or relax in the restaurant and bar with a glass of our hand picked, vin naturel selections or signature cocktails.

    Incredible flavour of food led us to try things we usually wouldn’t. Great advise from staff, especially in selecting a really great bottle of Pinot. Highly recommend the crab and the warm oyster.

    Excellent evening to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday at the chef's table. Shane was very welcoming and friendly. All the staff were wonderful and there was a very joyful vibe. First time we were trying Filipino food, although we appreciated it was with a twist. It was amazing. Definitely worth the chef's table experience for a special occasion. Really interesting to see the kitchen at work close up.

    Amazing food. So unbelievably delicious. Highly recommend the kangaroo with the marrow bone. Staff was fantastic. Not only very friendly but extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes and wine. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend this restaurant!

    The dishes were on the saltier side, which overpowered some of the flavors, and the prices felt a bit steep for what was offered. Drinks were decent but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, not the best value for the experience.

    The food is so delicious and packed of amazing flavours. The drinks are so spot on . And the customer service was so nice we felt so welcomed. It made my birthday night so memorable and fun together with my girls. Will definitely recommend it to my family and friends
