Serafina Tribeca
Open for Breakfast/ Brunch, Lunch and Dinner daily.
Today, I went into Serafina for a date night with my boyfriend. I’ve never went into this restaurant and we went around 9:20 pm. The waiter was nice and seated us in a little corner which gave us privacy. There’s wasn’t much people on the restaurant which was really nice because it wasn’t crowded or loud. I loved the quiet soft and calm atmosphere it had. The servers were extremely nice and I loved the delicious food there. Everyone there always asked us to enjoy our me and what we thought of the food, if everything was okay, and if we needed water. The decor was nice and simple but elegant. Loved this restaurant and would definitely come back again!
Our Order:
(2) steak and fries - $32
Total (price+gratituity included) : $81.20
May not be the best food ever, but pizza was good. Kids loved the pasta and the place is please to stay in. Nice New York hang out with friends and family of a date
Great pizza. We are comfortable bringing our two kids (under 2) here!
Great food and very good service. My only complaint - the drink menu listed prices but when the bill came I was charged more. Not a big deal just bothersome. I didn’t say anything to the waiter but will think about this before going back.
Serafina TriBeCa does not have a working phone. After calling upwards of 15 times I had to reduce a 13 person party to 10 because that was all I could fit through OpenTable. The food was good but the restaurant was quite noisy.
Food very good
But
When we got the bill we got 20% for the services and plus 20% for the tips (that is normal because we were party of 6) but about 20% for services I don’t really understand what it was for.
Had lunch on New Years Day with our 2 year old daughter and they were very accommodating. High chair was set up on arrival along with coloring book and crayons and were ready to take our order immediately. Food came out surprisingly fast by our friendly waiter. Always a solid meal.
A great meal with family visiting for the holidays. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. Every dish was outstanding, from the bruschetta, meatballs and cacio e pepe, to the scallops, shrimp, and chocolate mousse. Our waiter was helpful, polite, and attentive. Thank you for a great evening.
My spinach ravioli was a little gritty. Spinach needs to be washed carefully! Service, while not rude, was disinterested. It was hard to get someone’s attention.
Delicious pizza! Ordered pizza with artichokes mushrooms and pesto. Was surprised that each third of the pizza had one topping.
Christmas dinner
Buen ambiente y atención, comida excelente. Algo ruidoso para el poco público que había.
Holiday lunch
It was the perfect place to have a conversation while also getting distracted from the rain outside. Went for a Thursday night dinner and it was a great way to wrap up my day.
We loved our lunch—excellent pasta and fresh salads with just the right amount of dressing—but the prices, especially for a chain, were kind of ridiculous. There are more authentic Italian places nearby that cost less! Still, we could hear each other talk, there were lovely flowers everywhere; we left happy and (the ultimate sign of a good meal) had to fight to stay awake for the rest of the workday.
Food and service were EXCELLENT! I will definitely return.
My friend got sick from her ceaser salad
Everything I ate needed salt.
Found chef’s special Ceaser salad to share along with pizza of the night. Just a wow!
I came here to meet an old friend with her two kids. It was great that the restaurant was child friendly.
The service however was terrible. We never got a bread basket in the beginning. The waiter wasn’t friendly at all and then disappeared later on.
The manager came to drop off the bill and he overcharged my credit card $10. I’m so glad I paid attention to it. I called him over. He tried to act confused and then corrected the mistake.
I should’ve listened to the other reviews about their horrible service.
Food was terrible and staff was unfriendly.
They forgot the birthday candle
Nice brunch, big portion. Very delicious.
Food is good but service is terrible. Especially annoying considering how overpriced the food is.
There are a large range of pasta choices, which I love. Pastas are offered on a scale of plain, traditional to decadent and fancy. Prices are a little high, but if you are looking for a nice night out with a promising meal this is a good place to go.
There was lots of young parent with baby in a stroller.
Serafina never disappoints! The service is great and very fast. The food is always outstanding. Highly recommend this place!
Horrible service, will not return to patronize this establishment.
Very good, nice wines. Salads are large and inventive. I like the tuna tartar and carpaccio. Ask them to hold the sauce.
We made the mistake of going to Serafina two meals in a row- a Saturday evening and Sunday for brunch. The food was quite good (albeit overpriced); however, the service was terrible- it didn't help that we ended up with the same server both times!
For our Saturday evening meal, we were never offered a kids menu (nor were we aware they had them) or crayons. We had to get up to find someone to track down our server several times throughout the meal. He was unapologetic about the extreme delays and was generally MIA. The entire meal (for which we didn't even order appetizers) took over 2 hours.
We ended up with the same server for a late brunch on Sunday- at which time we were offered a children's menu and crayons. Despite a lovely and attentive busboy, our server was again completely MIA. We had to ask two different people to find him just so we could order our drinks/food- and then had the same issue with the check. Never offered bread. I felt terrible because the busboy was doing his very best, but our server was virtually non-existent and non-apologetic.
Either they are chronically understaffed (as we were there on a Saturday early dinner and late Sunday brunc- neither of which appeared very busy) or we were unfortunate to have the same uncommunicative, absent server.
Excelente lugar para comer pasta y pizza de las mejores que he comido en NY el restaurante muy lindo y el servicio. De lo mejor . Recomiendooooooooo
Outstanding value, great food and attentive service.
Nice ambiance
Good and fast service. Dinner was great. Waiter’s recommendations for the night were spot on.
Horrible service - the slowest we have ever experienced. Ignored for about 45 minutes just to get the check.
Always good food at a reasonable price...ask for Nikolai
Good variety of menu items, especially the salads, but the price was a bit high for both the serving size and quality of the food. On the whole this restaurant was just average nothing spectacular, but it was a nice location for lunch with friends.
Todo estuvo delicioso!!!! Súper recomendado
The continental breakfast from the hotel next door is served within the restaurant space.
The waitstaff and female GM were rude and not accommodating in the slightest. When asked to have the entrees brought out after the appetizers (a very fair and normal request) the dishes were all brought out together. When we alerted the waitstaff, they took the dish, only to return it to us later, cold and hardened. When we asked to speak to the GM she was rude, aggressive and walked away mid-sentence. There are far better restaurants in TriBeCa, will not give the time of day to this location again.
Wonderful meal and service. Would go back in a second.
The meal and overall experience was pleasant. I would recommend Serfina.
