Fun, charming neighborhood-type restaurant. Nice selection to choose from the menu. The ahi was especially good. Nice atmosphere to this small restaurant. I would definitely recommend it and will return next time I am in SF.
Excelente restaurante, con gran atención por parte de sus dueños. Excelente comida. Vale mucho la pena.
Don’t waste your time looking for a better Italian restaurant this is it! A party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meals. If I lived in SF I would probably eat here 2 or 3 times a week. Save room for dessert because it’s just as good as your dinner! It’s a small intimate place I recommend making a reservation. This dinner will be one I remember for a long time and can’t wait to go back!
Checking out our local neighborhood and decided to try this little gem after reading previous reviews. Tiny place but very lively. Food was amazing! My husband and I split a starter, pasta and main and they nicely plated everything out for us separately. Grilled calamari with arugula salad was tasty- though my husband commented a little char on the calamari would bring out the peppery flavor of the arugula. The bucatini was so good that we had to use our bread to mop up the sauce. Finally, the lamb with grilled vegetables was amazing! I don’t know how they flavor the veggies (tons of olive oil and herbs probably) but both were so flavorful! Will definitely be back!
Amazing experience! Each of our meals was fabulous and we felt like we were taken care of like family. Would highly recommend this to anyone in SF!
Great food and great experience
My daughter and I were in town celebrating her recent college graduation with another friend. Arrived and were seated on time w a reservation. Friend had not arrived yet as she was having trouble finding parking. Anyway we immediately ordered Prosecco and then ordered a glass for our friend. She was about 15 min late. We ordered the salmon carpaccio, gnocchi, crab pasta and seared tuna… plus wine!! All were delicious, served FAST and hot. I say all this bc if you’d like a restaurant to relax and enjoy your dinner- this may not be the spot for you?? As good as the food was… we felt rushed from the moment we arrived. It feels they’re more concerned about turning tables then offering an amazing dining experience. I get it that this past year has been hard on the restaurant industry and possibly they are trying to ‘mKe up’ for lost time… but in the end, as delicious as the food was and as warm and quaint as the restaurant was.. we left w the feeling that our dinner was more about getter’ in and gettem’ out!! Sorry to say- we will probably not return. Too many other fabulous restaurant in this town!!
Authentic Italian. Like being in a small trattoria in Lazio.
The Bucatini all'Amatriciana was perfect; hard to do right.
The hosts work the crowd and are very hospitable. Great vibe with lounge-y Italian music playing in background.
Chef is dialed in- great execution for a small place. Diverse crowd of mainly locals. Oozing Italiano.
Perfect dinner. Delicious Italian cooking.
Delicious menu. Wonderful service!!!
The most inviting restaurant Iv ever been to. The owner and server are both from Italy and are great to converse with and inform you of the menu. They made me feel like I was at home for sure. Try the lasagna! They also have the best tiramisu Iv ever had!
Really wonderful. No missed notes in any category - excellent food, wine, and attentive service. Will go back. Frequently.
Really nice waiter. Excellent food
Great restaurant with a chill local vibe, it’s one of those places in SF you walk by and go “I want to check it out”. The reviews here are spot on. Authentic Italian food with enough on the menu to satisfy any guests.
We sat outside and there were plenty of gas heaters to keep us and the surrounding tables warm (you should still dress in layers and a jacket, it’s SF). Also, it’s as dressy or casual as you make it.
Our server was literally running all the tables outside, but efficient and also super nice and welcoming. We have no complaints on the food or service, pisce, lasagne, gnocchi, and bucatini were exactly as we hoped, delicious!
Thanks for a great night and we’ll be back again :)
Charming restaurant and excellent food. But the over-the-top experience was being waited on by the owners. They’re the real deal and really dedicated
Music was quite bad. Who plays Kenny g all night in an Italian restaurant? Food was good.
I wish it was a little warmer on the inside:). But the waiter (owner) was super sweet & attentive and the food was delicious.
Awesome local spot. Will be back again!
Anniversary dinner, enjoyed so much went back the next night.
Such a sweet spot away from the hustle. A beautiful dinner and excellent personable service; we will return.
Had an amazingly enjoyable four hour dinner. Food was great. Service was perfect (there when you needed help, not there when you didn't need anything). A great wine recommendation and a bit of limoncello at the end. Doesn't get more enjoyable.
I stumble on this restaurant and am I glad I did. The service was fantastic and the food amazing!
Lovely neighborhood restaurant, with a heated outdoor area (good place to bring your dog!). We had the Pinsa (pizza) and the Halibut. The Pinsa was fine. The Hailbut was a tad salty and overdone (dry). But - I'd still come back. The owner was very welcoming, and the atmosphere was quite nice.
Delicious food, great service and attention to detail!
Wonderful service, superb food, and very safe ambience from a COVID-19 perspective. Mille grazie!!
Overall the experience was great. Had a little problem with the choosing of the wine. They did not have a Chardonnay. The communication was not easy enough to have them say that they had a white Italian wine that would match. Once we got that communication and had the white Italian wine it was awesome.
Great dining experience
Great Restaurant! the view was amazing just as we arrived at sunset. Very attentive service and food was amazing
Serafina was great. Fun environment. Cool location - at the top of Nob Hill. The staff work very, very hard. Our wine and burrata were delicious, but our crab pasta dish lacked flavor. That being said, everything else on the menu looked delicious. Wish I ordered the gnocchi!
Serafina is a MUST when in SF! The food, the service and did I mention the FOOD...?!! The pastas, the tuna was perfection, the appetizers, all fantastic! Don’t miss out on this neighborhood gem!!!
Would put this at a solid 4.5 and rounded up. Service was excellent, especially compared to other places I have been recently (during COVID). They were just solidly on top of it here.
Food was good. Eggplant parm was very solid and unlike others I have had before (not fried, not too cheesy) and just really tasty. Seafood risotto was above average but would probably mix it up next time as there were a few other dishes that I saw others eating I would want to try first. Prices were downright reasonable especially when you consider they don't tack on the so called "mandates".
Look forward to returning to this neighborhood gem.
Serafina is such a gem. Expect a small, intimate space, amazing Italian food, and wonderful service.
This was my first time at this charming restaurant . Best Greek salad I have had in ages. Will definitely return.
Food was amazing! The staff were so nice
Beautiful view bay bridge
Food is phenomenal, and the service was great. Feels like an Italian restaurant in Italy. In true Italian style, they did not expect to turn tables after an hour of dining. We were able to sit and enjoy our evening, and conversation with no pressure to leave quickly. Great atmosphere, feels very quaint and romantic.
Enjoyed our first experience at Serafina. It’s great to have a restaurant of this caliber within walking distance of our residence here in SF. Looking forward to eating there again!
Amazing food and wine!
Thanks for a great “first time in a restaurant” reunion.
Delicious food and friendly service.
A perfect evening.
