Amazing experience from appetizers to dessert. Knowledgeable waiters and waitresses. Strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a top notch dining.
I enjoyed my lunch immensely. Unfortunately, the dining room is cold and noisy, but I would return.
Me and my family have been dining here since the early 90's and has never disappointed. Consistently great food and service over the years!
We've been dining at Serafina for 25 years, and it's always been a delightful experience. This evening we went to Serafina with long time friends who had never been there. They, too, enjoyed it immensely. The wait staff is professional and knowledgeable, and Sal, the Sommelier, knows how to choose the perfect wine. We also like the fact that the food changes with the seasons and is always prepared expertly. All five of us loved what we ordered including the desserts.
Some of the tables are very close to each other.
The food and service was great!
We love it here and always enjoy our meal and the service! We have our faves but everything is always delicious! All staff are terrific and care about your experience! My fave is eggplant mellanzane and I have a hard time switching. My hubby is recently a major fan of the seafood pasta (probably has another name) and at night it has clams and crab. The arancini appetizer is always a must as well and they always have daily specials and dessert also.
Just go. You’ll love it. But leave us an opening for our table!!
Should out the great managers and staff!
Cozze keeps us coming back every time. Noise level was minimal due to a late Monday night dinner. Normally can be quite lively.
It was a rainy evening but the location was very quiet and quaint. It's got a really cool bistro vibe. You get lost in time and space in that place. If you don't look out the window, you could be anywhere in a small town in Europe.
Love this restaurant. Quality food. Never disappointed!
The experience is average. The restaurant is smaller than I thought. On the upper side, the food is good but it didn’t make me wow, service is just ok for the price. One thing makes me didn’t enjoy very much is the nose, it was very very loud. I would not consider this place for date night ever again, may be only for family or friends. It was great that they were able to change my table to a quieter place. There are 3% surcharge per person on top off everything. I don’t think this would be in my favorite list.
We hadn't been to Serafina in quite some time and always had a wonderful experience. This last time was just as great. The food is excellent, service is warm and attentive, the ambiance is warm and comfortable and the wine list is great. The sommelier knows his business. The pasta especially is a standout - homemade and perfectly cooked and sauced. If you order the Limone salad be aware the vinaigrette has a very strong anchovy flavor. This restaurant is a Seattle icon. Love Serafina!
Because parking is an issue, I do not frequent Serafina as much as I otherwise would.
I have been dining at Serafina for more than 20 years. This is my first lunch. They decided to seat my friend and I adjacent to a large group of loud, inebriated guests because it would be easier for the server, despite the fact that half of the tables in the restaurant were empty. It was rude and nasty to me and my friend. I am sad that a place I respect sunk to that level. I won't be going back.
Lovely ambiance. Delicious food. Helpful and attentive wait staff.
Our main complaint is that it's prices are dear. We felt that they were trying to upcharge us, and on top of that without telling us in advance, they charged $3.50 for a basket of ordinary bread with herbed dipping oil.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Serafina. We made a reservation, so the wait was short. Everyone at the restaurant was dressed nicely; I think dress casual is appropriate. The food was delicious. And I love that the restaurant offers half bottles of wine to order. It's an economical option if you're both drinking wine. We had the octopus (Pulpo) with lentils, which was prepared perfectly. The octopus was grilled and had a nice char and texture. The veal meatballs (Polpettine) were nicely prepared with a tomato sauce and cheese topping. Our main dishes, lobster tortellini and rabbit parpadelle were a bit small. However, with the 2 appetizers and dessert it was the perfect sized meal for us. I was very pleased that the restaurant could make a vanilla latte for me. An after dinner coffee was the perfect ending.
We have been going to Serafina for over 20 years. Last Friday we went with a party of eight. Again it was excellent, if anything, better than ever. Very good food, great service, great ambiance with an upscale neighborhood feel. Growing up in a foodie family with Italian roots, this is not a 'pure' Italian restaurant, but the Italian dishes they do serve are fabulous. Among others, try the Polpo (braised octypus) for an antipasta and the Limone salad, for pasta the Spaghetti Cetarese or the Pappardelle di Porcini (braised rabbit, and for secondi's try the Melanzana (eggplant w/cappellini) or the Agnello (lamb shank with polenta). You won't go wrong.
This restaurant has the best soups in town. Paired with a small pasta just the right amount of food. The restaurant should publish a soup cookbook
It was our 26 year anniversary and we jadnt been there in 20 years. We use to go all the time when we were younger. It was great. Food was ezcellent, waitress was excellent. We desribed what we wanted from a wine and they brought us the perfect bottle. We are goung back soon and have told our friends to go.
We went for New Years Eve! Everything was tasty! I felt my scallops had an inky taste so did not eat them but we enjoyed everything else! The only thing I didn’t like was when the hostess called to confirm the reservation and wanted to know if we could eat in two hrs. Our reservations were for 9:45pm so didn’t feel they would have a seating after that! We want to go back and try their regular menu!
I loved it, me and my lady had a wonderful time and had a great waitress. Will be back soon 👌🏼
Service was excellent and would have given 5 stars but hostess seemed to be having a bad day which unfortunately transferred to the customers a bit too much. The food is amazing, the desserts are well portioned (who can't love that?), and ambiance is timeless. Serafina continues to be a classic in the area.
Found the service and food to be very good. Our server was helpful for our wine choice.
One of our favorites in Seattle, great ambience, fantastic service and amazing food.
We had an amazing experience. The Chef made us something off menu to accommodate our food preferences and allergies. We had the trout and It was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
The tables are too close together. It's so noisy we could not have a conversation without yelling at each other. And this time, unlike prior times, the pasta was very dry and even though it was listed as a crab dish; there was virtually no crab in dish.
I'm sad, but we won't come to this restaurant again.
Had a great meal & good time.Could have been more enjoyable if the music had not been so intrusive.
Had one of the most positive dining experiences I’ve ever had in Seattle! I don’t remember our waiter’s name, but he was impeccable. He was so knowledgeable about the menu, the wine list, listened to us and had perfect recommendations. The food was incredible and we will most definitely be back! So happy we found this gem in Eastlake!!
85 year old mother just graduated from college.
Simply......great food, superb service, and great atmosphere. It is a bit on the noisy side, but what do you expect from a pact restaurant during the holiday season?
Except for the noise level, Serafina is a great restaurant with excellent service.
Lunch took one hour to be served. The meal was mediocre at best. Very disappointing
EXCELLENT!!! As always :-)
A favorite gathering place!
I came for a business lunch and as always, the food was overall very good. I had the limone and papardelle; flavors were good but brussel sprouts a bit undercooked. The restaurant was full, so things may have been rushed a bit in the kitchen.
Serafina is well known here as the best restaurant around.
Serafina took wonderful care of us for the celebration dinner. Every detail they worked on makes the restaurant such a pleasant experience every time.
An absolutely wonderful please to eat. Food is always delicious- service great. A neighborhood Italian restaurant feel that is hard to find in Seattle.
One of my favorites for a long time.
Lovely evening, in all respects! We went tonSerafina to celebrate my husband's birthday and will definitely return.
This is the second time we’ve been to Serafinas. The food is top notch, the service is great. My only complaint is that it is pretty loud during the dinner hour if you are seated inside. For any meal, but especially a more pricey meal, I’m looking for the social aspect that makes a special meal special.
I wouldn’t turn down a reason to go to Serafinas but I’d love a little more soundproofing. All in all a great place.
Whether a quick pasta course or a full fledged leisurely dinner, the food is always great. The wine recommendations always a perfect match. Cozy neighborhood spot that we travel 20 minutes to get to, ‘cuz it’s just that good.
Serafina is our favorite restaurant in Seattle - and there are a LOT of great restaurants in Seattle. Serafina always delivers a memorable, delicious experience and we never tire of going there (we have been regulars for nearly twenty years). We go there for date night and special occasions, and we take out of town friends and clients there, knowing that it is a sure thing. The only downside to Serafina is street parking in the Eastlake neighborhood, which is reserved for residents with permits and strictly enforced. You WILL get a ticket if you park on a side street. Finding a place to park on Eastlake Ave is about the only option and it is a real challenge. Obviously, we think Serafina is worth it. We like everything on the menu, but when halibut is in season Serafina's preparation is especially notable.
