The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.

Unfortunately the Food was a bit over seasoned but not too offensive.
The main delta was the responsiveness of the waiter we waited long enough to be noticeable for appetizers then the main course. We wanted to have dessert but the waiter was helping other tables and eventually come to see us but at that point we just wanted the check.
The time to table check from the waiter was definitely noticeable which would be understandable if the restaurant was full but the capacity was at like 30 - 40%
Don't mean to go into math but a good spot of waiter cooks ration could be calculated using the timing of preparation for the meals in the menu the amount of waiters and the amount of people with reservations.
Friend’s birthday
My girlfriend and I went to Serafina for our first indoor dining date since the pandemic hit over a year ago. The food was great, the service was appropriate and unobtrusive, we had a nice table with a view of the street, and it felt great to be out in the real world again. The noise level was a little high at times (which is probably a good sign these days — lots of people having a good time after a long year of quarantine), but overall we had a great experience.
If you want to order a nice bottle of wine, be prepared to pay top dollar. That would be my only criticism — the final bill was pretty high for a two-person dinner with one appetizer, two main dishes and a bottle of wine (plus tip).
I came to Serafina a few years ago and it was immaculate. I had high expectations for returning and was sadly uncharmed this time around. The bruschetta and spaghetti cacio e pepe were delicious but the new spring pasta dish lacked depth. The host who sat us was clearly not in the mood to be working. Our server was kind but Serafina is known for its wonderfully personable staff. I’m not sure if COVID has changed things but our server was quick to come and go with little conversation.
Hands down Best Italian in town next to grandmas house...
Excellent food and ambience. Difficult times made for slightly anxious servers, but this is totally understandable due to the number of COVID cases currently.
We sat on the patio and it was lovely.
We haven't gotten to enjoy Serafina since summer 2020 due to the Pandemic.
Were thrilled to see they were serving Easter Brunch. Everything was just perfect; food, drinks, service, friendliness and Covid protocols.
We thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait to go back soon for dinner. One of the premier places in town!!
Easter brunch
Wonderful meal. Ambiance is so nice for date night.
We had a wonderful time and they took such good care of us!!
Lovely outdoor seating nested in a patio garden. Food was delicious
One of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle.
Always great.
I made my reservation a few days ahead of time and put in the comments that it was our 3 year wedding anniversary.
I'm not the kind of person that wants a free dessert, but we were seated in an odd area and not even a "Congratulations!" or mention of it at all. I thought we might get a small pour of bubbles or dessert comped but again, I don't expect that. Just some mention of it would've been nice. That's why I put it in the comments.
The food is always good, but because of that oversight, I don't think we'll come back. We left a little bummed.
Again, the food is great and the staff are very good too.
Love the restaurant, just not the addition.
Outstanding, as always.
Obsessed with this place. It's the best food I've eaten out in a long time! Highly recommend. Great for date night.
Great food, great service. Can’t recommend Serafina enough. I wished we lived closer and could visit more often.
They are open with spaced dining. We were in the back building which was pleasant and peaceful. Same great food - glad to have them open again.
We had not been here in years. It was so nice to be sitting in a restaurant and be served delicious food, and not be rushed to eat it. I'm so glad they are still in business after this pandemic!
Good was fabulous. A little over the top on the mask situation compares to other restaurants.
A quite oasis of fine dining and atmosphere.
Was so great to be out again at a restaurant. They are doing a nice job managing the space. Food was great. With fewer customers the atmosphere was subdued. Service was surprisingly slow at the start but improved.
Nice portion sizes with the small and larger pasta dishes. Great variety but a
Lot of pork in dishes. The spaghetti dish with mushroom and pepper was a ten....perfect!
Food was average at best. Lasagna was cold and gummy, steak was tender but overcooked. Good wine prices, crappy server. I won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.
Serafina has the best eggplant dish in the world. Delicious!
Our steak was overcooked. The waiter offered to take it back but we thought it would take too long to cook another. They did deduct some money from out bill. This is the first time this has ever happened to us at Serafina. Otherwise, the dinner was very good.
First dinner out in a long time! We felt safe and well taken care of..drinks and food fantastic!
Our server was very nice and attentive without being annoying. We created our own four course meal:
Pear walnut vinaigrette salad B+ (needed more pear)
Bolognese Pasta A+
T-bone and greens for two B (not the best cut too fatty, salty and not tender enough)
Hazelnut chocolate mousse cake B- mouse and crunchiness was good cake a bit dry)
Atmosphere was nice not as intimate as reviews make it as the noise of the bar and kitchen made conversation a bit challenging. Our servers friendliness made up for the shortcomings. I would go again and order a pasta dish and order wine vs bar drinks.
We had a great time! The restaurant took precautions to make patrons feel safe during the pandemic. Wait staff was respectful of our space, but also made us feel comfortable. Would highly recommend for the person who is dying to go out during the pandemic, but concerned about safety measures the restaurant is taking. Serafina puts you at ease.
The food was great too! It was our first time there, but we will definitely be back!
Nice food and service, they're maintaining social distancing and hygiene very well.
This was the best meal at a restaurant that I’ve had since Covid changed dining. The yellowfin tuna was amazing and the fennel, olive, blood orange and pistachio plant based accompaniments were outstanding.
Excellent and friendly staff! Great food as always! It’s odd not to see the restaurant full as usual but that is a Covid thing! I’ll be back!
Tasty food. Lovely ambiance.
Initial greeter was very abrupt, we were 5 minutes early. After that, the waitstaff was gracious, attentive and the food was sublime.
My pasta carbonara was not warm and I had to ask for my meal to be reheated. The bolignaise was so so.. Be sure to request a seat in Serafina vs Cechitti if you like a more formal environment. The meals and prices are the same.
Serafina is one of our favorite Seattle restaurants. The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive. We are so glad they have found a way to continue to serve people during the pandemic.
As always, food and service were excellent.
One of the finer places to eat in Seattle. Please check it out. They are very mindful of Covid, and they take care if their patrons.
We have been coming here for about 8 years and love it. We had not been in a while due to COVID but decided to
Venture out last weekend. The safety standards were amazing and did not hamper the experience. The food was top quality as always and the service impeccable. The staff remembers us each time and makes a point to stop and say hello. If you take into consideration the food quality and taste, service, ambiance and value; this is in my opinion the best restaurant in Seattle.
