The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.
Serafina was lovely, as always. Phenomenal food, perfect service and warm ambience.
Everything was wonderful at dinner. Black garlic gnocchi was fabulous. Roasted brussel sprout dish was another beautiful creation.
The staff went above and beyond to make our date night an individual and romantic experience, the food was phenomenal, and the wine list was exquisite. I have nothing but good things to say.
The food portions we super small for the price and nothing we ate was remarkable !
We still hungry after we got home so ate popcorn .
Serafina was excellent and so nice that they were open in the snow!
The food was absolutely sensational...innovative and complex....from the salad to the dessert we were not dissappointed!! i am still dreaming about the delicious flavors and swooning from the romantic atmosphere :)
Good traditional neighborhood standby. Great staff!
Great waitress. She made it really fun!!!!!
Absolutely FABULOUS!! Our waiter, Kyle was over the top amazing & the food followed suit. I can't begin to describe how wonderful the whole experience was.
Extra bonus points for the locally owned, beautiful array of glassybabies. A different lovely color brightened up each and every table.
Serafina has retained all of the charm and remains at the top of my favorite dining experiences in Seattle.
We always love going to Serafina. Consistently good food and service!
A truly wonderful place for dinner. Very romantic and comfortable.
Outstanding food and service!
Food was pedestrian. Been there many times; this time was disappointing.
Serafina is amazing, there's definitely a reason we go at least 5 times a year. Staff is incredible and the food is amazing.
As great as always. Serafina is the best Italian restaurant in Seattle, so I visit often and the food is always delicious and the service impeccable.
Very noisy! Great food and service, but I could not hear what my companions were saying. More soft furnishings? Sound baffles?
I went with old friends to have good food in a festive atmosphere. All points hit. Our waitress was great.
I wrote the restaurant and stated that the value for our meal was subpar. They charged for extra sauce and the lettuce for our salad was not fresh. I did not want to make an issue with my guest there and promptly advised Serafina later via email.
We have been dining at Serafina on a regular basis for over 20 years and we have really never had a bad experience until tonight. We ate early, sitting down by 5:30pm in a restaurant less than 1/3 full. We ordered our drinks but did not receive them until our food was presented, which was a very long wait for a couple of glasses of wine and one simple cocktail. Worse though than the slow service, was the attitude of the staff... immediately defensive, rude and unapologetic, especially from the manager. The waitress, who was clearly overworked, was apologetic but defensive. The manager glared at us for commenting on the poor service, offered no apology or any verbal interaction and was in fact hostile and intimidating in his silent glares. It was really unpleasant and the service did not improve tho the waitress did try to bring the next round of drinks more quickly. The kitchen here is impeccable and good food goes a long way... but service is king and manners have a really powerful impact on either a good or a bad dining experience. A manager who is openly hostile and unwilling to make any effort to provide a decent level of service is inexcusable and should be replaced. The bus boy went out of his way to compensate and in fact saved our experience while the manager chatted to two other floor managers or uppers the entire evening never making any efforts toward his customers even though his wait staff was visibly stressed and unable to keep pace. This was a case of poor floor management and frankly, with so many good restaurants in Seattle now, Searafina can no longer keep pace with San Fermo, Staple and Fancy and other Seattle super stars.
Took a while to get to our 7:30 reservation table Dinner was great
Simply ,THE BEST
WE EAT HERE REGULARLY AND IT IS ALWAYS OUTSTANDING .NEW YEARS EVE WAS A FEAST,THAT WE RATED A 10.
Saturday we ordered our favorite ,MELANZANE,eggplant with cheese and sauce over pasta .A
10 does not do it justice.
Great food ,great service ,a great place!
Fantastic Time with friends and family...I have never been disappointed with anything I've eaten at Serafina and I've never had the same thing twice! Outstanding every time! Thank you!
Food is consistently well prepared. Excellent waiters. Serafina takes reservations which is very helpful on a busy weekend. Good in town location and nice cozy feel inside. Pasta is excellent.
Short menu; but good food. Few Veg offerings (understandable). Gnocchi could have been better. But, we had an excellent time - perfect service, great ambiance, and the meat dishes were excellent. Would definitely go again.
Great food, great service. Always consistent.
Brussel sprouts were the best I've had in my life with bacon and gorgonzola! Charcuterie was also amazing, especially the proscuitto. Pastas were good, not great, but the sauce on the bolognese was outstanding.
Excellent, prompt, and kind service. High quality ingredients and food. Highly recommended.
Excellent-good food, friendly expert staff, timely
We did not have a good time. My wife and I wanted a quiet place for a romantic date. In Serafina it was quite the opposite. It was extremely loud, the tables were placed too close to each other, the aisles were too narrow.
In addition, the food was below average as well. The lasagna was ok (4/5). the pasta was undercooked and had to be sent back. (2/5). We did not dare to try the desserts. I wouldn't recommend this for Italian food or otherwise.
I love the relaxed and romantic feel of this place. Was great for a group of 6 girls enjoying a girls night dinner and I am already planning to come back with my husband for a romantic date night!
Lunch was terrific; the staff were wonderful and created a lovely ambience to enjoy a business lunch. Would definitely return, and certainly recommend.
Great food, friendly staff, overall great experience.
The 3 of us spent close to$200---and I didn't get a cocktail that tasted good. The first choice was recommended, it was awful. I relayed that then asked about wine. Nope, sorry. No sweetish wine either. So......I said I'd have a Sprite. 'ok, no problem. I'll bring it right over.' I think it would have been nice if the waitress asked what kind of cocktail profile I wanted, or had the bartender talk to me about it. They seem like the kind of place that want you to really enjoy your dining experience. Oh well. Next time I'll go to the bar myself.
Always a winner in our world! My husband has been loving the broth based cioppino type dish and I’ve been loving the recent pasta specials. Everything is amazing and service is always awesome. It’s our fave neighborhood restaurant and we don’t even live close to it! Go and find out why it’s so special to everyone!
Food was great. Service was exceptional. Cozy and romantic.
Serafina does not disappoint! Great food in a very pleasant and welcoming setting plus all the service staff was very very nice.
Dined there with out 13 year old and he loves the bread and olive oil there. We had the left over bread and oil “doggie-bagged” and our waitress packed extra oil especially for him. He felt so special :-)
We thoroughly enjoyed our first time here. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, the wine list was excellent, the ambiance was perfect. We’ll be back for those brussel sprouts and arancini and some barolo! Don’t skip dessert, either (so good)!
We enjoyed a relaxed yet elegant evening with cocktails, appetizers, delicious wine, and amazing meals. The service was on point - attentive but not hovering, and the ambience was as delightful as ever. Serafina never disappoints!
Beautiful and comfortable, this restaurant has food and drinks that are worth the price. My fiance and I went here for our anniversary and enjoyed everything from the service to the water. While there are not very many vegetarian options, the dishes are lovingly crafted. It's very worth it to dive out of your comfort zone and try something you might not otherwise.
