service was pretty bad, food was decent enough.
Food was very good and service outstanding. The outside area is beautiful. I will be back!
Beautiful setting, great service (Mamet was fantastic) and great food
Hi - wished this could have been a rave review. It is not! Salad course of beets was lovely in taste and presentation BUT the chicken parmesan and the Rigatoni Bolognese disappointed. Stick to the pizzas, a huge assortment, and which were served all around us to happy-looking patrons.
Place is new,
so perhaps the kitchen might get their act together better in next month, but re our two
entree dishes, the waiter advised us the chicken was not served with
any pasta or vegetables, when we queried him, so we ordered a pasta dish -- and lo and behold, a pasta accompanied the chicken parm --and there was no reason to have ordered more pasta.
The taste, temperature, texture and so on of the food disappointed
We called him on the mistake re the a la carte answer to the question we had asked, and he took no action to apologize or to not charge us or to offer to bring a substitute vegetable, or whatever. Clearly, he had no idea whether the dish was a la carte totally, or served with pasta, and had not bothered to inquire for us. As the entrees are quite pricey for the amateurish taste and preparation and presentation, this lack of pleasing the customer did not go over
well with us. Stick to the pizza here and don't expect much from the entrees
I'm from NY originally so was excited that a Serafina was coming to the neighborhood.
I was very disappointed by the food quality however. Spaghetti squash was cold and bland. The salmon was undercooked. I hardly ever send back a meal but it was truly not edible.
The staff was wonderful and very accommodating but the kitchen needs to get it together as the food was not at all what you would expect from this NYC eatery.
Dissaster. It was my birthday. It took an hour to get the food.
The staff looks obviously overwhelm, running, not paying attention.
Our family finally got together so we decided to have a lunch in order to reunite all together. We were exited to try Serafina in Miami, since i am a recurrent client of Serafina NY and it is actually one of my top 3 restaurants in the city. But this time i was very disappointed. Service was terrible, the server was bored to serve and she wasn’t respectful at all. To order a lemonade was imposible and when i finally got it it wasn’t fresh as she mentioned. The Carpaccio wasn’t a true Italian carpaccio, plates arrived in disorder to the table, mu first and second plate arrived at the same time. I spoke to the manager and he offered to come to my table, but he lied, he never came. My fathers pasta never arrived. At the end after giving our claims, the restaurant charged us without asking 20% of service, that was a joke in our face! Terrible experience and i am sad i spent my family meeting there.
and more and more. I could write a long paragraph but i am really disappointed and i would not go again. Not even near the NY Serafina!
from the host to the food , I will not recommended at all
The experience didn’t start out too well. We sat for about 10 minutes before a manager came over to let us know we would be served soon. Once our waitress came over everything went well, she was very accommodating. The food took a little longer than probably should have, but was good. I would give it another try just to see if things go better. My pasta with chicken was pretty good.
The pasta" the specialty " very poor quality.. old style.. the service wasn't really good and to compare with others Italian restaurants in town was pricey.
Also we didn't finish our dinner and an employee was sweeping around our table... disaster.. and I don't want to continue because I don't want to look like a negative person...
Serafina at the Aventura Mall was amazing tonight! The service was flawless and the food was delicious. We had a few cocktails from their menu and they were creative, unique and very refreshing. We had 3 courses of salads, pizza and entrees all coming perfect in timing. Our groups experience was phenomenal from start to finish. We highly recommend!!!
First time at this new restaurant. Great vibe, super welcoming staff and great service. Love the menu, great choices including some very creative vegetarian dishes. Can't wait to go back!
The food was terrible and the service was so bad, I wish we would have gone to the food court! Even the balsamic vinegar was cheap. I couldn’t believe it! What a disappointment. I have been to the one in NYC and it was so good. I discourage anyone from going!!
It’s a disaster with Capital D. The food took hours to arrive. Nothing special. They add a 20 xc tip with a lousy service. Save some time and money and go to one of the other rest in the aventura mall.
Chicken Paillard was very poor- it needs improvement. Try it a t LeZoo. There isno comparison-"
Beautiful Restaurant. The pizza was outstanding
El servicio pesimo, muy malo, la comida nada buena la pasta cruda, lo peor de todo que pedimos 2 Black Label on the rocks an more ice on the side y nos han cobrado 2 $ extras por el hielo on the side, en ninguna parte del mundo cobran por poner hielo extra, reclamamos al gerente y nos dijo que es norma de la casa, no lo recomindo y no vuelvo, nada que ver con el Serafina de NY
We love Serafina in NYC and we were so excited that it was opening in Aventura! The food was very disappointing and the service as well ! The spinach salad was good but the pizza and pasta dish were horrible! The pasta sauce was tasteless and the pizza was not very good as well ! We had to send the pizza back as it was cold ! We Also felt like the servers were rushing us out ! We had asked for our salads and pizza first and then our pasta dish ! Everything came out together ! I will wait a few weeks to return and see if the restaurant improves ! One acknowledgement they did honor our reservation and take us on time ! Which was appreciated!
Serafina is in it's first week of operations in Aventura so perhaps I should have anticipated the service and kitchen problems; i.e., out of menu items, out of wines, extremely slow service. But I have always been a fan of Serafina in their Manhattan locations so I had high expectations.
The good news is that the food was good, so if they can work out their kitchen and service problems there is hope. After they give their kitchen service staff a lot more training , maybe I can write a better review on my next visit.
Here is a restaurant that have a great potential, if they put their act together. It is not worthwhile to describe what went wrong, as this can be attributed to the fact that this restaurant just opened this month. it was a big investment for the owners ( I am sure,), but as for now the management team and the staff need training and coordination.
If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. The most awful experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Waitress was rude and unprofessional. She screwed up one of our orders and blamed it on us. Finally got the dish and it was just thrown together. Sat there for almost 2 hours and never got our second dish as well. It’s a shame because this restaurant has a lot of potential. Will NOT be returning.
The waiter Martin was great as a professional and a person
Food and service were sub par. The ravioli with porcini were all heavy cream and nothing else. Pizzas are good and salads are ok.
Ok place for a quick bite at the mall. Unfortunately there are far better places opening up
Went with pre-judgment that as Serafina is a chain in a mall, the food would be just ok. To my surprise, the food was very good. Meatballs and accompanying sauce were good quality and delicious, Cesar and arugula salads were super fresh, cold, crisp and exactly the right amount of dressing (not too much). Good bread and excellent dark green olive oil. Pastas were all al dente and wonderful, particularly the zucchini one, though the farfalle with shrimp had too much cream. Pannacotta and gelatos were wonderful. Went on the 3rd night of being open and our main courses were overly late, but the manager correctly rectified the situation. Excellent waitress. Pretty place. My only 2 complaints are that I wish they would put up a screen as the outer tables are exposed to the mall, and the rose I had wasn't cold enough (too many restaurants don't chill their white and roses enough). I look forward to returning and trying more things.
Waited too long to be seated due to the fact hostess said she didn’t have menus but we should have been seated anyway to have a cocktail, food took a bit long.
Food was great and service a little confused. It is a shame that they don’t have neither carbonara nor profiterole on their menu.
