Featuring rustic Italian fare that wets the appetite, Serafina Broadway prepares the freshest pastas, pizzas, seafood and meats that are unparalleled in Midtown Manhattan. Serafina Broadway is the restaurant of choice for theater-goers, young professionals, neighborhood locals and seasoned Italian food enthusiasts.
Good standby for the neighborhood. I always enjoy alfresco dinning. Service was very good. My favorite is the personal pizzas
The food, atmosphere and service were excellent! I would highly recommend Serafina to friends.
Good for pre-theater. Reliable and tasty.
Serafina NEVER disappoints!! It is so easy for a quick bite to eat or for a nice sit down meal. Drinks are also light and refreshing around lunch time.
Excellent breakfast spot in midtown
Food was great but service left a lot to be desired. Very unfriendly waiter, can’t tell you his name because he never told us. No smiles, just cut and dry questions.
Just ok. Expensive for what it is.
Good variety of food choices and great atmosphere. Drin prices ar a little high but the food prices were very reasonable
Very nice food - exceeded expectations
Loved Serafina. We sat outside and everything was great - appetizers, main course and drinks.
We have always gone to Serafina, food and service are consistent and typically good.
However, upon this visit we had terrible meal and service. We weren’t given any water and had to ask twice. Our waitress went on break and didn’t notify us, one of our orders were wrong, my steak salad was over cooked and def not worth 28$.
Maybe it was an off day. But it for sure was off-putting, won’t return to that location anytime soon.
They served our underage daughters, (who were 13 and 15) alcoholic beverages despite the fact we did not order alcoholic drinks. While they did it by mistake, when we told the manager (just for awareness as they can literally lose their alcoholic license over this), he was argumentative and rude and told us to get over it and walked away. Nothing was comped. Our daughters took several sips thinking it was what they ordered. This is a real problem that the manager should have addressed and been apologetic to us.
Pleasant environment. Careful, I rushed service. Good food
Not the greatest Serafina location. Wait staff was brusque, order was wrong and then cold. There are better options in midtown.
What a pleasant surprise. I generally stay away from chain restaurants. I've been to a Serafina before and it was okay bit not memorable. Serafina B'way was and we plan to visit again. It is convenient to theater and Lincoln Center. I had the veggie dish which was made with spaghetti squash which is like having pasta without the carbs. Fabulous. We all loved our dishes. Inventive menu. Wonderful service.
LOVE THE FOOD, such good quality.
Another exceptional meal!!!
Very busy and noisy place but fine for a pre-theater meal of satisfactory quality.
Felt very rushed and busboys were in a constant rush to drop off food, pick up food, clean table. I know many go to Serafina before seeing a Broadway show but we were in no rush.
Food is good, not spectacular.
Food was great and server was very nice and accommodating.
We had been to Serafina in the past and the experiences were very good. However, this time it was not the case! We were celebrating my wife's birthday, which as we were seating I re-confirmed with the check in person. It was apparent from the beginning that we had a "rookie" waiter. The manager, who was running around and barking at the staff, came by and we had a conversation (his birthday and my wife's were a day apart). We gave him our order....after about 20 minutes it was apparent that our appetizer was delayed! This is where the story becomes laughable!!...I asked the original rookie waiter to check on the food. I see him and the manager go to the kitchen area in a panic. Here is the best....the manager who placed the order tells us, "the printer ran out of paper and the cook never saw the order"!!
Needless to say, they apologized and went to damage recovery mode! What a Happy Birthday!!!
Great table, service and food!
The fried calamari was delicious, extremely tender. One of the best we've ever had!
The crepe stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese was very good.
Delicious food and prompt friendly service
Fresh pasta w light marinara sauce perfect. Service perfect. He knew we were going to an early show at broadway location. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Good location. Responsive re seating alternatives. Great, very fresh salad apps. Solid menu choices. Attentive service. Will be back.
Being Italian we appreciate very much Serafina's food
I met a friend for a quick dinner before a show. We had a table outside one a pleasant evening and it was easy to converse quietly. We ordered a pizza and salad to share and one of us ordered a drink. The food arrived together fairly quickly. The pizza was warm and the crust fairly dry. When we pointed this out to our server, he offered to heat it up. We realized that this would only dry it out more, so ate it as it was. The food was tasty. The 4 seasons pizza had good toppings and the salad was interesting and fresh. The drink never arrived.
We got the check and the drink was on it. The waiter removed it after we pointed this out to him.
Overall, Serafina is a pleasant, convenient place in the restaurant desert of midtown west. The service was helpful and the food decent. We've eaten at their other locations and found the food better.
We were seated right away by a friendly waitstaff person. The menu looked good. We each ordered salads -- my friend a steak salad and me a grilled chicken salad. The chicken was tasty but too cold -- like it had been pre-made and was sitting in a fridge for a while. Same for my friend's steak. The service was a bit slow and we had to actually walk over to get our check so that we could make a matinee (despite allowing plenty of time for lunch). Bottom line, it was OK. Not great.
Waiter didn't follow up to refill drinks etc. The veal Milanese was mostly fried outside. The veal was very poor quality.
Visiting from St. Louis. The sampler pasta entree was amazing!! Service fantastic. Will be back next time I’m in New York.
I thought brunch was uninspiring. My vegetable frittata had almost no vegetables. The service was mediocre and they added a 20% tip which I didn't feel they deserved.
I went on a Saturday for my birthday and although two of my friends were late (by 30 mins), we still got the reserved seats. I've actually been to this particular Serafina before but totally forgot where the toilet was. The waiter chased me to let me know I was heading for the wrong direction (I headed up some steps thinking the toilets were towards the back of the restaurant), which was kind of him and embarrassing for me.
Unfortunately there were only two stalls and they were not unisex. The patrons waiting on line were all women. At this point, we just commandeered the Men's room. This actually happened twice at the beginning of dinner and at end.
The food was good but I really like the waiter. He was very attentive in a good way... like when I got up the second time for the toilet and then immediately headed back for my table. He asked if anything was wrong and I told him the queue for the stalls were too long.
I guess my criticisms would be to make it more obvious where the toilets were, keep them unisex, and have automatic flushers for them (some people don't know how to flush toilets apparently to my dismay).
The food was good but policies seem more aligned with an Olive Garden type restaurant. As it was lunchtime I wanted a small salad and a pasta. They would not sell a half portion salad but said that they would split one with someone else at the table. We agreed but they delivered alone salad on one plate. Upon inquiry I was told that they would charge another $3.00 to put it on two plates. As the person that I was splitting with was across the table from me — and the server knew that — one plate wasn’t going to work. At that point, I was ready to get up and leave but was persuaded by my friends to let it go. So in the end, what started as a pleasant lunch with friends became much less enjoyable.
The seafood pasta special was phenomenal!!! So much seafood! Clams, lobster, crab claws, calamari... so good!!! Service was a little slow, but overall, a good experience!
We had reservations at 10 after a show. Service was slow and waiter informed us after we sat down and ordered that last call was at 10:30...!? And they were closing at 11..?!? Ok, New York? Was just ho-hum, nothing special.
Good food, friendly staff!
Amazing dinner!!! Niko was fantastic !!! Super great 50th birthday evening.
Great dinner for 8 with incredible pasta and caviar, Bolognese, brushatta, spaghetti, etc. truly enjoyed the private room with doors that open to the street.
The burrata salad and pasta dish were very good. One of our salads was so-so. The service is excellent.
