Amazing food, amazing service.
The food is always great here. It is a go to place for me and my coworkers. The service was good as well. Upon arrival, the gentleman that checked us in could have been a little clearer in his speaking and a bit more friendly.
Service was very good considering the number of patrons they were handling. The burrata appetizer was delicious! Our entrees were cooked to perfection and the portions were perfecting filling. We will definitely be back
Without a doubt the best carpaccio ever. Staff is excellent. Friendly and professional.
Been there many times before and has always been wonderful. Mushroom raviolis is another very tasty dish.
Should be on your list of restaurants.
Fab meal waiter very helpful food delicious
Would definitely go back
Food was excellent, service was not. We barely saw our server. I don't recommend sitting at the table right by the front door, as it gets crowded with a line of people waiting for tables.
I have been to several of the Serafina restaurant locations. The food has been consistently good.
We arrived late due to traffic delays but they still accommodated us and we were able to have a very nice meal before heading off to the show we were seeing. Definitely recommend.
Have eaten here many times. This time the food was a notch lower than usual. Had the Serafino Trio. Flavor level not as intense. But this was just once in the last 4 times.
Convenient location for Studio 54 and other venues. Pleasant restaurant with good service and good food at a reasonable price. My table of 4 enjoyed our meal and were neither rushed or left unattended. Pastas are excellent here.
We really enjoyed Serafina. Food was great and the ravioli was truly handmade. Very flavorful food. Menu has something for everyone. Wine list is not extensive but has enough variety with reasonable bottle prices for NYC. Dining room was loud but we were okay with it since the food quality and service were good. I recommend it if you are in NYC.
I have been to several of the Serafina's in NYC, and this is by far the worst one. The host was rude, the service was extremely slow (no one even came to our table for at least 10 minutes once we sat down) and the food was mediocre. I would not go back. Our server did feel badly about the wait, etc., so he threw us a free glass of wine. That was nice. But, it all starts with the host and how he/she makes you feel when you enter. We were ignored and he seemed to hate his job!!
Good solid place to meet for lunch or dinner on bway in 40s. Food reliably good.
Embarrassing. I brought a client and some colleagues out to lunch--was treated like an irritating group of tourists by our server. After sitting for 10 minutes with water and no greeting, the server brusquely came up behind us and asked "do you want to order?" Well, yes, I did--and I'd appreciate not being made to feel he's got better things to do. No warmth or enthusiasm, and he couldn't wait to dash away between every sentence we spoke--couldn't even finish my full order before he just walked off. Common prompts from server to see if we wanted to start with appetizers (or I'd have settled for, "would you like a bottle for the table?"). My client wanted a lemonade but he just ran away and was annoyed when I had to flag him back to FINISH the order! Anyway, a strained tone and the constant clatter of silverware/incessant server conversation (had a front-row seat by the computer terminal)--won't ever bring my clients here. Next!
Amazing food, Amazing wine, and Amazing Atmosphere! I'll be back!
On a very rainy Mothers Day in the theater district, I was surprised that Serafina wasn't more crowded for brunch. Turned out to be a perfect place for my parents and me. My mother had a spinach and goat cheese salad, my dad had the pasta and I had the Insalata di Porto Cervo. The food was fresh and good. I thought my salad was a bit underwhelming taste-wise but no real arguments about the quality. We were able to have a leisurely brunch and a good conversation as the restaurant was not noisy. I would definitely revisit.
We had an early breakfast here sitting outside . It was pleasant.
Serafina is conveniently located for dinner before or after a show at City Center. The prices are comparable to other Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. There is a lot of variety on the menu, including meal sized salads that are a good value. I had the avocado-shrimp-arugula salad and was pleasantly surprised by the number of shrimp (which were warm). Large dessert menu. We dined late (10 pm on a Saturday) and felt a bit like we were being hurried out--waiters around us stacking up glassware, everything being prepared for closing. But the demeanor of the staff was nice--they seemed to appreciate our business.
We had lunch in the Serafina Soho the same day, the french maître was outstanding! Very friendly and cortuous. Maybe he’s got a twin for the Serafina On Broadway? 😉
Neighborhood gem. Really enjoyed the Mel. Will definitely go back.
I love this restaurant. I recommend it often. It's got a cool vibe, varied menu and Delicious cocktails. Close to theater. Mindful of your time. At the risk of finding it fully booked next time I want to dine there... I say Go.
A reliable standby for excellent pizzas, pastas, antipasti pre-theater.
Ate in midtown location, service was attentive, plenty of choices off the menu, lunch specials also. Excellent pasta dishes, comfortable space, reasonably priced all in all worth the trip.
We had a lovely breakfast, the omelettes were delicious !
Service was wonderful
We had an after theatre reservation-- walked in the door at the appointed time-- and were told kitchen will be closing in 30 minutes. Why take the reservation. Food and atmosphere were okay-- place was largely empty after the theatre-- this is not where people go after the theatre apparently.
Good restaurant, fair price, pleasant environment, but we were not well attended.
The food and service were excellent. It was a busy exciting Saturday evening in the theater district. if you are looking for a fine dining quiet venue find another restaurant.
Fabulous, as always!
Was amazing food and exceptional service!
Horid experience. Hostess seated us at a nice quite table until a very large business group came in and were seated next to us. They were very vocal and loud. It made our dinning experience awful. The sad part was that mangement knew that this group was to be seated were we were. At the end of the meal, after we said something to the manager, he said that the group asked them to move us but management told them that since we were already eating they didn't want to disturb us. Management also said it was our responsibility to have asked for a different table. The manager was rude and tried to blame us for the very unpleasant experience. Will never returned because of the mangements attitude.
The service was so bad that we walked out after 20 minutes. Our waiter was inattentive and not at all focused on providing us with a good dining experience. After waiting a bit he came to the table and asked for our food order and we told him we hadn’t even been asked about drinks yet. He flippantly took our wine order and later returned to take the food order. My wife ordered a salad and entree and he said that particular entree would take a long time to prepare. As my wife started to look at the menu he said he would put her salad order in and rushed off without ever asking about my order. They brought my wife’s salad and still hadn’t asked what I wanted. The waiter returned and we pointed out the service issues and he treated us with disdain and arrogance as if he didn’t care a whit. We decided to walk out and told the front host about our issues: he remained impassive and never said a word or offered any apology. We can only conclude that they don’t like tourists and treat them with disdain. Management if this chain needs to retrain or replace this staff.
Loved our gals dinner! We had a great time and it was a great way to start our night out!
Our Food was very good, table was right behind the host table and has nice views, dessert was fun to split and loved the family atmosphere. Very comfy
Pasta was ok could have been cooked more for my taste. Sauce tasted burnt. Waitress wasn't that good. Prices were too high for what we got
Great late night Italian food. Perfect place after a show. Wine list matches food choices well.
We went here before a show at New York City Center. Service was excellent and the food was good.
Dinner was delicious! We were not rushed at all-it was a lovely experience!
Good food and service. Pricey menu.
Did not like the meat we ordered.
We discovered this restaurant on our travels through the City. We were short on time before seeing the Ballet and it was across the street from our hotel. What a pleasant surprise! Delicious food. Lovely, attentive service. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Always a great experience and food!!
Molto buona la carne e la pizza, soprattutto per essere a new york
