Featuring rustic Italian fare that wets the appetite, Serafina Broadway prepares the freshest pastas, pizzas, seafood and meats that are unparalleled in Midtown Manhattan. Serafina Broadway is the restaurant of choice for theater-goers, young professionals, neighborhood locals and seasoned Italian food enthusiasts.
Food mediocre and service even more so. Servers acted like we were an inconvenience, extremely slow to come by, took orders, but barely came by to fill waters or ask us if we needed anything. Food overpriced and meh at that. What’s infuriating is they added gratuity for our group at lunch (5 ppl plus a baby in high chair)...when they barely earned a fraction of that in how we were treated. I hate being a person to rate a restaurant so low...but this place left a bad taste overall.
The pasta as usual was great, but we were very disappointed with the pizza. The service was also slow and we waited quite a while for our food as well as the check. If we return we will only be ordering the pasta going forward.
Everything was great here. The only thing of note was the Buffalo Mozzarella left much to be desired. Fairly expensive for more tomato than cheese.
The food was very good but the portions were small. The wait staff was terrific!
Offered food overprized and way too salt. Waiter not paying enough attention.
Food selection was extensive with a lot of food choices. Food came very fast and was well presented and tasty. When is was time to pay the bill was very slow to arrive.
In New York for me is the best italian restaurant, because you can find different food and all excellent.
This was for a work lunch. It was fine, nothing outstanding. Service was good - no complaints. My linguine and clam sauce was the worst I ever had however my clients liked their meals so that’s all that matter to me.
Took my niece out for lunch and a show. The food was very good. Service was just ok.
Bug The atender don’t like to wait us for chose The Dinner
We had a great meal, service was spot on and not rushing to get us out
How can a restaurant run out of desserts on the menu at 6 pm?
Prepare to be delighted! Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. Price, noise level and space are what you would expect for this area. I went with a friend to the upper west side location and had to bring my husband to experience the food. The champagne black truffle risotto is top notch. The hubby had a ravioli. He is first generation Italian American so he can be picky. After the meal he said he can’t wait to return. With several locations you don’t have to go out of your way for this high quality food experience.
Experience was excellent overall and we were very well taken care of the entire meal. We saw a 2:00pm show 4 blocks away and easily made a 4:30pm reservation for which we were seated right away. Service staff was impeccable and anticipatory. While everything was delivered quickly, nothing was out of order or incorrect and we did not feel rushed the entire experience.
Great food & staff !
Il ristorante molto carino, la pizza devo dire che è veramente buona e la pasta alla Bolognese che a preso mio figlio ottima. Lo consiglio molto
I highly recommend the ravioli porcini
Everything done right. Food is amazing and served hot. Wine is sublime. Spotless atmosphere, staff is very attentive. Will go back and bring more family and friends.
Todo muy bien
Weekend in NYC.
We had a nice dinner tucked away from the hustle of the crowds. L
I’m a regular and go all the time. It’s my Cheers. I love it there.
Holiday dinner was incredible
Second visit in a week long stay. This time booked for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Food was good again. Buzzing atmosphere. Would recommend.
Would not recommend; Rather ordinary experience, no extra bread, no olive oil, pasta was bland without any real garlic flavor, runny sauces. Sauces seemed from a box or package..
Overall Serafina was the perfect place for us. We were a group of 4 heading to an afternoon show nearby. The server team was very attentive to our needs and the food was very good. Everyone in our party enjoyed the Serafina expert. While I didn’t give a prefect 5 in all categories, I would for sure re-visit Serafina.
Enjoyed our meal. Made dessert special for my husband's birthday.
Birthday dinner pre rockettes
Good was decent but the service was horrible. 3 tables us together were sitting with no service for 20 minutes. When the server finally came over to us he said “are you going to order or what” mind you this is the first time we even saw him. We put our order in but when he found out on of us had an allergy he said “seriously you have got to be kidding” and walked away. After that the only time out server came back was to give the check. The table next to us he was just as rude to and they ended up leaving. Food size was small for the price. Would go elsewhere next time.
Dinner out with our nieces in NYC to celebrate Christmas was great. The food, wine, service and conversation made our evening together very special.
Great modern Italian place for pre-theater. Pastas and pizzas are quite delicious and service is friendly and fast! The one annoying issue continues to be the state of the bathrooms! There is a single stall for women, and easily 70% of the diners are female. It’s a long wait considering everyone needs to quickly run off to make a show. Whole space is in need of a refresh but especially the ladies room.
We went for Brunch. Price fix. Very good loved the French toast. Friends had eggs bene. Eggs were properly cooked. Great bloody Mary’s. Would go again
Pre-theatre dinner was fantastic all around, food, service and ambiance. We will be back for next show we see
Very good quality if food, staff was very attentive and accommodating! Intimate and cozy vibe!
Service was terrible and non existent. Tables were so close together you couldn’t hear the person across from you and had to practically yell to have a conversation and then deal with bumping elbows with the other table next to us. Food was good but the rest of the experience wasn’t worth it.
Although my reservation was for 2 which would have allowed me the same size table if I were eating alone, they refused to seat me when I arrived 15 minutes early and the bar was full. S I was forced to stand when I insisted on being seated at the time of my reservation I was “punished” and given a table in the far corner of a private room that was occupied by a large party. Getting service was a challenge.
Very good food
It was a very crowded restaurant the night we were there (Wednesday, 12/11) and noisy. The lighting in the small room behind the brick oven was very dim (not good for the over 65 crowd). But service was good
and our meals were good, not great but good. Will we return? Maybe.
the host was very accommodating and we had the best little private booth for two on the upper level. food was awesome!
The chicken salad, hurrays and porcini mushroom were delicious per usual but the waiter did a terrible job with the order, he brought appetizers and meals all out at the same time and it was very uncomfortable to eat as the table was very small.
