   Casual but elegant setting which belied the unbelievably delicious food served!!! What a wonderful surprise to get fabulous service and some of the very best Italian food I’ve ever had on a last minute whim. Go!!

   Nice & attentive staff, wonderful food! We really enjoyed the mussels (great broth) and the burrata appetizers We also all did pasta for our main course and all of it was perfect: nice light gnocchi, really good chicken parmigiana, and a unique and just delicious limoncello shrimp farfalle!

   My friend and I made reservations to Serafina because it was a short walk to the MGM Fenway where we were going to a concert and the reviews were good. We were very pleased with the service our waitperson Alejandro provided. The pizza we shared was delicious and the ravioli with the truffle cream sauce was fabulous!!! Oh and I almost forgot ...the Gin-ger cocktail tasted like a lemon ginger scone...absolutely yummy!!

    The service was a little odd - taking away things before we were done like oil and vinegar and water. Also portions were very small for the cost of the entree. Not sure I’ll go back

    The food was good but a bit overpriced for what they offered. They also don’t offer the sandwiches and burgers on the dinner menu which was disappointing. It was very loud so it was hard to hear what anyone in my family was saying and the service was a bit slow overall.

    Lovely spot for a date night! Drinks were great, and the food was yummy. Was happy to see on the menu that their pizza had gluten free options, which I couldn’t see on the website. Some prices were a little high for modifications but there was a great ambiance situated in a fantastic location.

    Visiting from Houston. The hostess was quite rude, and did not want to seat us on arrival. When I showed him my reservation his response was, “No. When did you book this?” To which I told him I booked it that day. He reluctantly sat me. When ordering, the waitress was not very pleasant. She didn’t seem to actually want to be there — kind of surprising for this type of restaurant where I’d imagine that the tips are quite handsome. Still, we were served but they charge a $4 up-charge for changing your sauce? Seems somewhat tedious for something that takes minimal additional effort (unless I’m missing something about their process in the kitchen). Nonetheless, the food was good - the service was subpar - and my tip reflected what I felt the service provided. Will not dine again.

    The restaurant was a gem. The wait staff were very pleasant and the food was delicious!! We were early for our reservation but they took us anyway. Thank you!! All in all great experience. I definitely recommend.

    So glad Serafina was recommended to us. We ate here before seeing the Boston Pops. The food is fantastic. The drinks were amazing. And the waitstaff were all wonderful. We really enjoyed it. It's a great spot on Newbury Street and the prices are fairly reasonable for Newbury.

    I have never written a negative review but, there is always a first for everything... I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The food was not very good and the portions were tiny. The meatball appetizer reminded me of the frozen meatballs you would purchase at any grocery store. Although, I've had some frozen ones better than these. The pasta was VERY al dente and the gnocchi was over cooked. Boston has much better options for Italian. I would definitely not go back.

    Got the worst table. Chicken Parm was the worst I’ve ever seen. Dry and no flavor. Server was as good but food runners seemed angry.

    So I read a few “one star” ratings before I booked and saw his responses. So I thought, May be they had a fluke on those days when the reviewers ate there. One in particular commented on how the bread of Bruschetta was stale. Yet, I made a reservation. I specifically cautioned the waiter when I ordered the Bruschetta I wanted it fresh and well toasted. Guess what: stale. The bread was chewy and felt like it was toasted hours prior. Even more, it looked like nothing in the picture from the website ! Now, the Cacio e pépé. Nothing like his website photo. Where is the cheese ? Anyone who has had this in a respectable Italian restaurant, knows that the pasta is mixed/laced in cheese. Mine was pasta in olive oil, cracked pepper with microscopic shavings of piccorino on top. So serve it dude ! Some may like it. Just don’t call it Cacio e pépé. And I recommend you remove your website photo of this dish to avoid the look of false advertisement. Luckily, with the conventions, young folks and bustle of Boston, he’ll always have customers. But If you are someone that wants good food, good Italian food, then go elsewhere. There are hundreds of choices. Now, if anyone from the place is thinking of replying this PR type response, I say “ spare us all and spend some time with your chef watching Stanley Tucci in Rome. It’s a good lesson at what this dish should look and taste like”……

    We had a wonderful dinner here during our visit to Boston from Minneapolis. Awesome service on a Sunday night. Got in early for our reservation per our request since we were nearby. Food was EXCELLENT. And so were the drinks! The manager on duty this night stopped by our table to ensure all was going well. Super nice people! We were here on 9/25 around 6:30pm.
