The place was inviting to stay, but the tables were too close/ not covid friendly. The waiter rarely came to the table and kept the change (I was planning on giving him more tip).
My spinach salad was wilted. I sent it back and a new salad was brought to me. It had less wilted lettuce but was still not all fresh spinach. The fries were under cooked. The arnold palmers were warm and melted the ice in the glass. I eat here often and This was the first time this has happened. This is matching the poor quality of food in other locations.
Love it there !
Called ahead the day before to alert them of my son’s anaphylactic allergy to Dairy. Asked about specific menu items. Spoke to maître d’ who “said” they spoke to the chef. Asked about the Fried Calamari and the Rigatoni alla Bolognese. They said, “You cannot have the calamari because there is dairy in it but you CAN have the Rigatoni alla Bolognese. It usually has dairy but tell your waiter when you arrive that you need it to be prepared dairy free and the chef said they will do it for you that way.”
Son arrived at restaurant with his girlfriend, he passed on this info to the waiter. Waiter spoke to kitchen and kitcehn said they could not prepare the dish Dairy-free. Ended up with a bowl of rigatoni with some plain tomato sauce. Very disappointed that Serafina is not more accomodating, especially when a customer goes to the trouble to give them plenty of advance notice, does their work and clarifies ahead of time what they can and cannot eat.
Bruschetta was the worst I ever had. Straight out of the fridge.
Risotto was also something from a microwave.
Great food and service
Items on menu not available which is disappointing.
Surprised they didn’t check for vaccination status even though I am.
Not My Serafina. So long old friend.
I have been dining here for nine years since my son started preschool. We used to love a post school lunch with the great kids menu and crayons and the adult food was a perfect balance.
On this occasion, made an Open Table reservation and was treated with disdain by the hostess. Told outdoor tables were first come, first serve. Since had young kids decided to wait as a table of four was finishing (we were told by waiter). We turned to say hi to friends on street and turned back to see the table had been given to three women who were not there waiting before us. We approached the hostess who proceeded to tell us they had “reserved it”. I told her that she had said outside was first come, first serve. And she had the audacity to say “they were allowed to reserve”.
We were then tired and the kids were starving so we said we’d go indoors. She would seat us at the front table downstairs but rather upstairs where no one was seated. We then sat for 20 mins with no menus, waters or anything. We sent kids downstairs to inquire for menus and drinks. Instead of a waiter, the hostess returned saying “What do you need now?” We responded menus, drinks, and a waiter. She said “Oh.” Ten more minutes we ordered drinks.
Definitely becoming a Serafina Don’t!
Serafina should go back to old and friendly ways or locals will start going elsewhere!
Always a great experience. In every way. All these years later.
I am coming to this place 20 years. Amazing food ,great service, very warm atmosphere.
Waiter told me the special however wrong meal came , told the waiter he said blah blah didn’t make sense to me. He tried to let me think it was fine. I like branzino but not fillet. When he found out that they didn’t have the lobster and pasta he should have told me not bringing what he wanted.
, that being said the food had no taste. The patrons next to me was complaining about their dish as well. I am a regular at Serafina, my office orders take out abd I dine in. I have always had a great experience but not last nite.. will I go back yes because every where have an off nite. I think chef had an off nite as well.
The banquet in the bar is very very uncomfortable.
Everything was awesome. Music was just really loud
MATEO is the best server....exceptional
It was good. It was good. It was good. It was good.
The food was incredible. Service was good - using a reopening from a pandemic standard. The servers and all the staff were so nice but were short staffed. We kinda felt forgotten about at times. However, that paled in comparison to how amazing the food was. Definitely recommend going and supporting the restaurant and the staff. You will not be disappointed.
Outstanding sirloin and pomme frites. Great light summer cocktails. Everything was so delicious.
My aunt and I thoroughly enjoy the bruschetta, the spinach goat cheese salad, and the ravioli. Hers was the lobster and mine was the spinach ricotta ravioli with butter and sage sauce.
1. the one thing i wanted in the menu was sold out. shouldn't happen on a saturday night but that's not the main issue.
2. service was very poor. Maitre D was fine but server took our drink order and didn't return for another 30 minutes to take our order for food. This is not an exaggeration. Also asked the bus boy or staff twice for help and they said they will let the waiter know.
3. also no bread while we were waiting (and actually not brought at all). we asked the other staff twice and the told us to ask the waiter.
really wanted to give 1 for service but would reserve that number if they were rude or inappropriate
Excellent, we had a great time and the food was scrumptious! Thank you so much! We’ll be back!
Dirty cups and utensils, inattentive server, asked for 1 seltzer he came with 3 large bottles of sparkling water and charged me for it. Probably the worst experience I’ve had and this is a staple restaurant I’ve been going to for many years.
Amazing took my parents to celebrate their anniversary food was phenomenal. Server was very polite
Ate there twice this week / food and service was that good!!
the food was amazing and the service was very quick. the ambience was great as well.
Delicious food. Ravioli, lasagne, penne bolognese, orecchiette sausage & broccolini. Everyone was happy with their choices.
Great wine & service.
Within steps to Loews Regency. Highly recommend!
Restaurant provided the Goldman Sachs experience, thank you
Had a great experience. Food and service were great
Food and staff was amazing. The ambiance at atmosphere was perfect.
We ate outside as there was no music. They did a great job with the 'in street' dining. The service was excellent, the food was the same. I had the Seabass, other members of a group had the Shrimp Salad, and two had pasta. We all enjoyed what we ordered. The bread was a table crowd pleaser.
I come here very often because it’s always great. Service, food and ambiance
Very dependable for consistently good food.
best food ingredients which leads to great food. Very cosie and good ambiance
Every time we are in NY we make a point of having lunch at Sarafina. The Gnocchi is heaven reminds me of my grandmother’s food!
Everything was fabulous I would highly recommend. Perfect meal
THIS WAS AMAZING. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s just as good every time. Gilberto is such a good server and was spot on with everything!
We visit often. And it is always SUPERB. Thanks for a great meal!
Food was good but there are many better places to go for pasta and pizza! I also didn't really like the basement vibes they have. Overall was just okay!
Serafina is always great, good food, our server was wonderful and very accomodating.
The waiter didn’t distinguish the types of flat water for our table and chose the one that cost instead of giving us tap water like the other tables. My dining partner wanted cheese on her pasta and said yes when the waiter asked. She never got her fresh grated cheese on pasta. We asked for more water and it took the waiter 10 minutes to get our table water. Poor service.
Great restaurant, very good pizza (try the Di Fabio you won’t regret it) and nice energetic ambiance
In these difficult times, they have throughout consistently excelled.
