They keep forgetting to give us the bread and olive oil, and we never got one. The service is fast. But not very friendly. To the joint we felt rushed out. Pasta is always very good.

Serafina is always a great go-to in Manhattan. I took my family there for dinner, as they hadn't been to New York in a while and had never been to Serafina before. They were all pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and quality of the food, which they continued to talk about all throughout the next day! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food and hefty drinks!
Food is mediocre. Pasta is dry and over priced for its quality.
They always try to make it special. We couldn’t sit outside but they made it work
Excellent food, service as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want GREAT pasta dishes and excellent pizza - Serafina is the place to go!! Can never get enough of this place...
Oh my goodness I can't stop thinking about the food I had at Serafina Always! Both pastas shared at the table were amazing- one was homemade fettuccini with red sauce, the other shrimp pasta w light lemon sauce. I was in NYC visiting from the Midwest and I think I found my PLACE for every future visit.
Serafina is one of my favorite restaurants in NY
Food is always perfect!!!
Food was subpar and wait staff rushed us. It’s not that great of service and deeply disappointed at the course recommendation.
Look at my profile. I frequent lots of restaurants and I have been to Serafina many many times but this time I got the worst service ever. I went to the manager trying to be polite but it was a disaster unfortunately the last time I visit this establishment.
The manager & host was great. Very accommodating. He helped find a table that could accommodate my son’s stroller since he’s too little for a high chair and was sleeping. He even helped my husband carry it up and down the stairs to their second floor dining area.
Food was fantastic as always.
The staff and service was excellent. However, the food was dry and very bland
We are regulars at this Serafina location (Serafina Always E61st) and the food is reliably good. I do think that the service should amp up the personality a bit. It is a busy place but you don't need to feel that your server is bothered by taking care of you- especially when you are expedient at ordering and turning over the table. Finally, I am BEGGING them to please add more nut free options to the dessert menu. The profiteroles should be offered with a chocolate sauce, not just Nutella sauce. It's a simple offering that would go a long way with your nut allergic customers. In summary: good people watching, good food, good spot.
quick, easy, stress-free option for 'fast food' italian
Very convenient and consistently good. Nice menu with many options...all the pizzas are stand out. Service very nice. The only drawback is the noise level. Had to move our table once and then it was still pretty noisy. At peak times really hard to hear each other.
It was A-OK. The house Rose wine was lovely. The vegetarian platter was delicious. The side dish of brussel sprouts were too hard to eat, the replacement spinach too garlicky to eat more than a bite of.
Great venue for a business lunch upstairs. They are very retentive.
The service wasn’t great. We were the only table for brunch at 11:30 and I had to flag someone down to take our order. He came to the table and just said “OK?”. We were a party of 6 and could have been great tippers! But no one batted an eye in a nearly empty restaurant the whole time to provide any level of hospitality. The food was fine, nothing amazing, but a good selection of choices form the brunch and regular menu and a decent kids menu.
Food was very good. Highly recommend the Burrata with tomatoes.
It was too hot
Forgot one persons meal and then kind of ignored our table the rest of the time after that.
We were waiting for friends who were late and the staff was very understanding. My pasta lemoncello was excellent and the pasta with sausage too was very good. Our friends had the brunch menu. Very nice feeling in the restaurant
The food was excellent especially truffle pasta! And very cosy place with a nice atmosphere. But the service was horrible! We had to find someone to order, we had to ask for the bread, and finally when pasta came in the waiter asked if we wanted some cheese, but never showed up, so I had to get up and find hi,. There was another party close to us, that has got his full attention, he was there all the time, smiling, serving...Evidently we were not right kind of customers. So bad!
Delicious food...large portions. Burrata with peosviutto amazing. Carbonara enuf 4 two.
Love his place !!! Excellent Italian food. Pizza and pasta selection great!!
How was Serafina always? As good as always. It's a favorite spot for a light bite before 59E59 theater.
The constant 1990s pounding disco thumpa-thumpa is embarrassing and annoying. It may be great for tourists and the tables of 14 year old Upper East Side trust fund kids who their parents send there for dinner with a credit card (I counted seven tables of the squealing future planet killing bankers), but for normal New Yorkers, it's a nightmare. Staff is very uninterested in getting you a new glass of wine, and the prices are nuts for the abusive ambiance.
In a neighborhood primarily populated by high-end restaurants, Serafina Always is a reasonably priced alternative. It's quite attractive and tends to be visited by an energetic crowd that can raise the noise level to impressive heights. Even so, it's a worthwhile choice when nearby. Spaghetti cacio e pepe was quite good. Orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe was so-so. Their version of Caesar Salad was OK. Don't expect to be blown away by the food, but you will get decent cuisine and fine service. We'd go back.
The food here was delicious. Very simple and not over salted but so flavorful. Everything was cooked just right. Service people were so nice too.
Consistently great food and service. Casual ambiance, tight quarters. Good value.
Always love the food I have no idea what to order from the menu.
Great food, service and value for money. Staff were very accommodating
Nice place, good atmosphere, not nealy as crowdeded as other locations. Good brunch, famlies welcome
Have been twice this week, once for brunch and once for dinner. Decent food, at prices that are reasonable for midtown Manhattan. Waiter service attentive and friendly, though front of house a little less so. Generally recommend Ed though.
Service was just not up to par.. couple was seated beside us after we were seated and they had already finished their meal before we received ours..
We had a dinner at Serafina on Saturday night and it wonderful. Great food, exceptional service and the view from the second floor was amazing.
Good food and nice place
