Food is reliably good although some dishes are better than others. This location is super noisy so if conversation is important go to another location. Otherwise a reliably good midtown locale.
Food was not as good as it used to be. Pizza was mediocre at best
Service was awful and food wasn’t worth the price. I have been to a few Serafina’s and have never been this disappointed. Planned on getting dessert as we were celebrating a birthday but left before and went elsewhere
Rushed service, terrible food
2 tables with 4/5 children each, screaming!
You couldn't hear yourself talk!
Most unpleasent, spoiled the dinner!
From Houston, Texas.
Loved everything, except in my martini they served stuffable olives, but they were empty...no blue cheese or anything...no queens olives. Otherwise, it was excellent for everything else!!
Service was initially very slow. We sat over 10 minutes without being acknowledged and without drinks. We waited another 15-20 to order. It appeared that 1-2 people were taking all the orders (not a great system). Once orders were placed, food arrived quickly. The food was good, but not the best in New York (or the UES for that matter). We friend several pasta dishes and pizza among us. Desserts were delicious- the highlight of our meal.
The food was really wonderful for a more casual place. They were incredibly accommodating to our young children. Highly recommend for an evening out.
We went for an early dinner on new year's eve and it was phenomenal!! I thought it might be overpriced but the food was 100% worth it (spinach ravioli and mushroom risotto were phenomenal), came out in less than 15 minutes although the place was pretty crowded, and the atmosphere was family-friendly while also being a little more formal. thanks serafina!!
Lovely and consistent as always
Quick lunch on our way to Central Park. Not the nicest ambiance at this Serafina location (compared to others in the city) — but our food was good. We ordered burrata and several pizzas for the table.
Excellent food, especially the pizza. The fish--bononzino or something like that, was excellent and properly cooked. slow service
Not the best of the Serafinas. Wait service was slow and we had 3 different random waiters. The first was openly hostile. I wouldn't go back (to this one).
The waiter was rude, and the kids meal came with a lot of pepper!
It’s called Serafina Always for a good reason, it’s always a great meal & time! One of my favorite go to spots & you must have the truffle pizza!!!!
Feels like home.
Poor service and unbearably noisy
The whole experience was wonderful
The food was delicious but the restaurant had a horrible odour which they unsuccessfully tried to mask.
This greatly detracted from what would otherwise have been a lovely lunch.
Good Italian but pricey for what is rather basic pasta and pizza dishes. Very good service and nice ambiance.
Delicious as usual and impeccable service as expected! Enjoyed with out-of-town guests.
Our regular Serapina in East Hampton is far superior, we were Disappointed with the pasta dishes being too undercooked, overly al dente especially for teens, calamari was overcooked and tasted burnt and something I have consistently enjoyed, the san Pietro salad had mushy avocado and only a few beans and arugula and the risotto was almost soup consistency. We had to ask for water and flatware. Won't be back to this location. Large Booth was comfortable!
Always very good food and good service. Our neighborhood restaurant and it is always full of diners.
Service was very poor. We all ordered from the brunch menu, my food did not come out til at least 15 minutes after the rest of my party, and only after we asked if it was coming. It seems as if they forgot, but the waiter didn’t find it strange I didn’t have a dish, as he didn’t mention anything until I did. Had ask for everything: bread, water, more coffee; nothing would come if not prompted. Would like to give restaurant the benefit of the doubt that they were short staffed, but server made no apologies for the poor service. Once food did come out, it was decent.
Muy rico, simpático, agradable ambiente
The waiters rarely came to our table. We always had to raise our hand motioning to them when we needed something. And to top it off they realized they forgot to place our food order with the kitchen an hour or more into us waiting.
I wasn’t expected gourmet food but wasn’t expecting the food to be overcooked, service beyond slow, and in general an experience which I won’t go back. You simply can’t charge people for a dinning experience and food which is simply put, awful. The table beside us got up and left as they weren’t even greeted with water for over 20 minutes!
I have been going to serafina for years and unfortunately I have seen the quality of the food declining more and more. Especially the pizza. I ordered the Di Fabio and asked for extra crusty but what I actually was served Was a soggy mess. I ate half a slice and couldn’t even face the rest. And I had noted the same problem at the serafina place on Broadway and 55th street just this past week as well.
Just right for a Sunday brunch. Nice that they offer both menus.
Great family restaurant. We took a large group of kids and moms and it worked out very well. Food was perfect for all and service was pretty fast. Will definitely go back.
The service was terrible when we came on Saturday night. The bread was cold and they refused to bring use fresh, warm bread. The waiter spilled cheese all over our table and didn't apologize. They also messed up our order. Was not worth the price and do not recommend.
Too noisy with mediocre food. Stick with the pizza. Also overly crowded with tables too too close together.
Food is always very reliably tasty. Service was not great. Saturday lunch is very busy. They may need more wait staff or more attentive staff. Great location and very lively. Feels like a place to be. Thin crust pizza is always a winner.
Excellent buzz, food was good, great table near the window upstairs, service a little lacking but improved over the course of the meal
Food and service was very good
The service was great. However, the food ranged from great to just ok. The bathroom was awful. The courses were also very rushed. Overall, it was a disappointment. I’ve been here before, so I’m hoping this was just a fluke.
Great food and service
Consistently amazing Italian! If you want fresh pasta...go here. Always fantastic!
Lovely place, good atmosphere, music could be a little less louder but other than that we had a great experience.
Great location for a friends get get together. Food is delicious and a good variety on the menu.
The service was excellent and attentive.
The food was all right. The carbonara was a bit dry and the pasta a la vodka was also dry. Basically not enough sauce. My friend had to request more vodka sauce.
It still was all right and we will try it again.
