Great service and food during a crazy pandemic time!
We went Saturday night and wasn't able to be sat for 40 minutes. They were doing a 3 course meal service. Ive been here before but these courses were not ideal. Ill be back when/if they reinstate normal menus and service.

Very Impressed! We were screened prior our seating. We felt completely comfortable during the whole night because people were following the covid protocol.
Food was just fantastic !They were able to accommodate my vegan friend and her food was absolutely delicious too.Our waitress was just amazing, she made our experience at Sepia even more exceptional!

Celebrated my daughter being in town. Chose Sepia for its Michelin star. Food and service were excellent. Server made great wine pairing recommendations. Truly enjoyed our dinner. COVID precautions were very good. Will enjoy returning post COVID.
The food was incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed all our courses. We felt very safe with the precautions they are taking with the pandemic and everyone was very conscientious.
Have been there many times and in the past and always had good food. We were not impressed with (and did not enjoy) this fall 2020 four course menu at all.

Sepia has maintained its excellence despite the challenges of the pandemic. This was our first time dining out since March and we were impressed and happy with the protocols. We dined outside, but noticed the dining room was well spaced. And, as always, the food was amazing.
Service was amazing, food was AMAZING, wine and bubbly was amazing! My husband and I had a great time here!

To be clear, there was absolute nothing wrong with the service and/or COVID-19 protocols in place. There was, however, a big problem with the actual food. My girlfriend and I ordered the 4 course meal for $65 each. 3 out of the 4 courses were delicious and enjoyable. The entree for both of us was not very good, and for one of us it was unacceptable. I ordered the duck entree, and it was overcooked. Honestly, it was "fine". I enjoyed the flavor, it was just overcooked and therefore relatively average. It happens. My girlfriend ordered the halibut confit with crab. I can honestly say neither of us have tasted something so FISHY at a restaurant in our lives. It tasted like when seafood gets old, or has been sitting out too long. It completely overpowered any resemblance of taste in the dish. We both took extra bites, mainly out of confusion, and it was undeniable that it tasted like it had gone bad. The only reason we didn't bring it up to the service crew is because we were on a bit of a time crunch for another event and didn't want to miss that. I am 100% comfortable in stating that the chef would have never served that if he or she knew it tasted that way. It was highly disappointing, and should never happen at a restaurant that holds a michelin star.
Sepia offered a relaxing atmosphere and a simple but well-rounded menu. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, the cost was quite good. My crudite with avocado and tomato was a delightful start, while my wife truly enjoyed the foie gras.We both enjoyed the halibut and it's understated presentation with complex flavors. Desserts, sides, and amuse-bouches were also satisfying.
I'm celiac, they knew exactly how to modify an exceptional meal without me feel like I've lost anything. Wonderful
The food and presentation was absolutely outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive, the wine was interesting and good. But the constant need to put our masks on and off was annoying every time someone came near our table, even to drop off a course or fill our water.
It was my first visit to Chicago and I chose Sepia for my birthday dinner. Great service, great food. Told all my fiends to visit when in Chicago!

Absolutely the most incredible food experience I've ever had and I've been to Europe 5 times so that's saying something. The atmosphere is wonderful. We felt so welcomed the second we walked in. We were immediately attended to when we sat down and the service from there on out was top notch. The food was out of this world. We enjoyed the 4 course dinner. I highly highly reccomend this restaurant. Well worth the splurge in cost.
An amazing experience, even during COVID. Food and service were outstanding, as always. We appreciated the care that the staff took to accommodate and answer my pregnant wife's questions. Every course was wonderful, but we especially loved the beets. All in all, a wonderful anniversary dinner under a clear evening in Chicago. Thank you Sepia!

What a lovely meal and evening. While billed as American cuisine, the presentation, sauces, and delicate flavors made this reminiscent of fine French dining but with more than adequate proportions.

It was so wonderful to be back at Sepia, one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. We sat outside and had delicious Gin drinks. Our appetizers we delicious and my fish was just perfect. A really beautiful evening sitting outside.
Hands down, the best food I've ever had in my life. Would eat here everyday if I could.
Overall, food is very good. I was disappointed in the halibut as it was overcooked and dry. Previous visit several weeks ago, on July 18, and the fish was 10 times better.
