    The 4 -course meal for $95 was perfect. There are enough choices for each course to find a good one, even for picky eaters. By the last course I was full, and the food was creatively prepared, very tasty.

    Great restaurant. The 4 course is a roller coaster of excellent, mind blowing food and food that was sadly average. The chef is world class with breads and related dishes, but seems to struggle with meats - albeit still very food. The meats just seemed to lack flavor. Desert, however, was EXCELLENT. The Apple Pave was superb. The service has some to be desired.. perhaps more friendly and professional. All said, 4/5

    Our group had a fantastic time at Sepia! We did both the optional caviar course and cheese course which were amazing. One of our party had a fish allergy and was unable to participate in the caviar course but was given a delightful amuse-bouche instead! We loved the wine pairing as well and that we each had something different dependent of the option we chose per course. We all agreed we would return once the menu is changed for the next season to have another awesome experience!

    Third time visit was even better. They have the consistency to be Michelin star restaurants. We celebrated birthday there and I asked for some candles on the side of the plate. Guess what, they did it above and beyond! That’s why we want to support these fine dining restaurants. Keep up with the great work!

    I made a reservation at Sepia for a friends trip 4 weeks ahead for the main dining area to celebrate a friend for Feb 10th. First red flag: We arrived and were seated in the lounge/bar area at two tables pushed together. No tablecloth, nothing. First Course was fine. After second course, 20 minutes went by until the manager came back and said “sorry for the delay, your food will be out soon.” That was it, no explanation. Another 20 minutes go by. I go up to the hostess stand and ask whether it will be much longer, and they say they will go in and check. Another 10 minutes go by (50 minutes total since we’ve finished the first course). The food comes out, no explanation, just served like this was normal. That was the second red flag. We ate the third course, and then waited for dessert. Dessert comes out in a timely manner- looks great and I take my first bite and it’s delicious. Take the second bite and I bite into something hard, inedible. Simultaneously, my friend spits something out of her mouth. We both examine in our plates and are shocked- there’s literal CHUNKS OF PLASTIC in the food. I call the manager over and she apologizes and takes it back for inspection. She comes back and I ask for an explanation for the entire evening- she says we were put in the lounge because they thought it would be comfortable seating, that they LOST THE TICKET after the second course (no one came to explain that while it was happening) and that one of the dessert containers was broken while plating so that’s how we ended up with plastic. How did this place end up with a Michelin star?!?

    We caught a very quiet evening at Sepia. The restaurant was busy but not overwhelmed. The bar was actually empty which was perfect for what I needed to do that night. Our server Justin was wonderful. The bar tender suggested a type of gin that I had never had before and I loved it and had 2 martini’s. Both icy cold and delicious. The food was also interesting and delicious. I had something called Gnudi like an interesting take on Gnocchi. Short ribs with mushrooms for the main which was very rich and delicious and then dessert. I am not a dessert person so I wasn’t into experimental key lime custard. Lovely evening with a friend from out of town.

    I looked forward to dining at Sepia on a Friday evening and it was an underwhelming experience. The food - high in sodium, even after asking for low sodium. Heavy flavors and richness, not in a good way. Some dishes and amuse bouche tasted deep fried. We only liked the optional caviar appetizer and didn't finish any of the other courses. Desert was for a typical American palate - loads of sugar and salt. Cheap plates and flatware; no tablecloths. Plates would stay on our table for forever, then someone would come and pile them up on their arms right in front of us, with all the banging and ugly optics which one wouldn't expect at a fine dining establishment. It felt it was a bother for them to look after us, do you know what I mean? When you look around the room for a single person to help and cannot locate one. The host team up front were nice and helpful. There is no festivity in the atmosphere. Public is very average, some in questionable attire (made zero effort, I don't know if this is a post pandemic thing). We paid over $500 for 3 people, no alcohol (dry January), will not be going back.

    Sepia is a standout restaurant that has proved itself year after year. While I am a fan of fixed menus, their selections within each course are varied and always interesting. The service is polished and the atmosphere is casual but sophisticated. Living in Chicago all my life and eating at some of the most well-known and highly touted dining establishments, Sepia is without a doubt one of my favorites.

    We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Sepia. The wine pairing was on point. The fois gras and the venison shabu shabu were some of the most interesting and delicious dishes I’ve had in a while. So classy - thank you Sepia!

    We dine at Sepia regularly and it rarely disappoints. Last night was no exception. Inventive cocktails, outstanding service, delicious and creative food. Our server even managed to serve our four-course meal and still get us out for a 7:00 opera. Don't miss the Unique New York!

    We loved it! We ate at a fair number of excellent restaurants in the US and in Europe, Sepia belongs there with excellent food and perfect execution, stellar presentation, and a warm and efficient staff. One particular: their 4-gang menu is moderately priced! But the quality and attention to details is there, on a par with the best restaurants. The accompanying wine selection was innovative and excellent too. Congrats Team, we will return.

    A warm welcome and vibe from everyone working there, great ambiance and though a packed house easy to talk at our table and hear one another. Drinks were fabulous and the pairing menu was amazing. We’d happily go back!
