Seorabol Center City
Banchan was terrible, bogolgu was okay but not "good", will look elsewhere next time.
I wish meat dish comes with lettuce, which is customary in Korean restaurants.
Overall very nice, while a bit salty...
My husband and I loved the variety of items to choice from the menu. We had the bulgogi. Tender and juicy. We will be back soon.
The sides were very good, but the main food for us was bland, not sure if that is just Korean food or not since this was our first time trying it.
Delicious food and very close to food I have eaten in Seoul. I question the tofu in the Sundubu Jijgae (one of my favorite parts of my soup). In Korea, the tofu was very creamy, liquidy, and velvety (I think it comes in a tube?), the tofu here was silken tofu in cubes and smaller pieces like softly scrambled eggs. It was tasty, but, not an improvement over the traditional.
The kimchi was very good--just spicy enough.
We really enjoyed and will be back.
Great food, attentive (but not too attentive) service. I've liked everything I've had there. My favorites are the stews.
Great food. Casual atmosphere and delicious meal. Bring s date here to show a chill night with Great food
Great little spot, reasonable prices, but noise level so high it was difficult to carry on a conversation. Adding some sound baffling to walls would help.
Restaurant had an ad to get us in the door. Did not honour the deal, citing it only applied to certain items. Not indicated in the text, which manager agreed with but nevertheless did not honour. Food was mediocre.
Food was absolutely delicious! Would go again!!!
Food was only okay, bbq was over cooked. Portions are small. Would not go back
Went there on a Thursday night with a group. The Happy Hour deals were pretty good but the items that we ordered off the regular menu were just okay. The restaurant is small and noisy. Would not go back. Prefer the one in Olney.
excellent food. Waiter provided excellent service and recommendations. Looking forward to going back!
My husband and I had a quick dinner at Seorabol before a symphony concert. The location is good, a short walk to the Kimmel. The atmosphere is very casual - think suburban strip-mall at Center City prices. The signature Korean BBQ short ribs were tasty and hot, but nothing special - difficult to eat with chopsticks. The Korean beef dumplings were a disappointment - greasy and I honestly couldn't find any beef in them. Limited wine selection. Overall, meh.
I wish they have more food choice as the original restaurant in North Philly
We had a great experience. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Definitely coming back again
Great addition to center city! We’ve been waiting for an authentic Korean restaurant in CC for decades. My 4 stars reflects more the potential of this restaurant than my one dining experience there. The price point for the location, next to the Kimmel and Academy, and ambiance are very good. The Happy Hour is a bargain. The food and service still need a bit of tweaking. Their freezer wasn’t working so we couldn’t satisfy our craving for dessert (green tea ice cream) after our spicy dinner. But we’ll definitely be back. It was clear everyone was working hard out to iron out the kinks.
Second time at restaurant and food was good and portions too large. Service extremely attentive. True to what is expected for Korean food.
Great little gem hidden in an unassuming building. We had a reservation but lucked up and made their Happy Hour which allowed us to try a lot of dishes with out committing to entre prices. Everything was delish and the drinks were good as well. Service was friendly and attentive. We were heading to Ballet X at the Wilma Theater or we would have stayed longer. Definitely coming back to try more dishes. Would recommend highly.
Good food. According to the restaurant, this location's menu is not as expansive as the original location.
Great double date spot for the adventurous eater. More vegetarian options than expected and they were delish. Server was super helpful in explanations and portions. Good times
Wonderful and very knowledgeable waitstaff. We’ll be back!!
We really enjoyed our dinner there! Wonderful new option in Center City!
Great Korean food. Great location. Competitive prices.
It's so hard to find good and authentic Korean Food. Food that reminds me of all of my travels through Korea can be found at Seorabol. I loved the food but the Service is severely lacking as others have voiced. Basically, they are young college age kids who have the attention span of one minute. Wrong order deliveries, forgetting to order the appetizer until after the entree arrived. Forgetting entirely one appetizer but not forgetting to charge for it. One of the few times, we undertipped because the service didn't warrant it. I think the owner needs to spend some time in the restaurant observing the help and coaching them to do better and not say 'whatever'.
Excellent authentic Korean food. The BBQ short rib was great!
so good! and amazing service! such great food. incredibly kind service
This was our first experience eating Korean food. The service was excellent. The waiter explained different
types of food. This restaurant has another branch in a different part of Philadelphia. One suggestion would be to choose different music. We loved the seafood pancake, condiments, and a General Tao’s
chicken. Serabol is a welcome addition to the many diverse food choices in Center City.
Food was great but not as good as their North Philly location. Great none the less.
If you need a good place to eat near the Kimmel Center, then this is it. Reasonable parking at 13th and Juniper, less than a 5 min walk from the Kimmel Center. The food is very good if not outstanding. Servings are large enough to feed 2-3. It falls off a little with service. It's not like the people are bad or rude--in fact, they're quite polite. But they did disappear for basic stuff like water and napkins. Wasn't a deal breaker, bc I loved the food so much, and my whole family loved the food. But don't go here and be in a hurry, bc then you might be a little disappointed. Less than $200 for 6 people is a bargain in Philly!!
Great service and food!
I have lived in South Korea and eaten at many korean restaurants. This one was very good on my first try. I am looking forward to trying some different food the next time.
New yes, 10 best not yet
Greta addition to center city. Terrific staff and bar folks.
A great restaurant. Always a good meal here with authentic Korean food.
We tried the galbi and bibimbap which were both delicious. We really enjoyed the assortment of side dishes. We were pleased to see a $10 lunch for the soft opening. I would recommend for folks looking for an authentic Korean food experience!
We went for lunch & they only had their dinner menu. I would have liked smaller portions for lunch. Most restaurants have lunch menus & I was surprised this restaurant did not have one.
Outstanding service and food!!!! A regular stop for me!!! Thank you for the amazing food and service!
Good mandu and kimchi pancake. Wish this Center City location had in-table grills like the original Seorabol in Olney!
