Parking details
Street parking is available on Big Basin Way, same level as the restaurant. There is also a public parking lot located on 4th street behind the restaurant in the Victorian Village parking area. If you parked at the 4th street parking, the restaurant is located at the top of the stairs. If you are coming from Saratoga or 85 freeway turn right on 4th street and turn left into the parking lot. The stairs and the restaurant are located towards the back of the lot.

We went for New Years Eve so a typical nights dinning may be different than our experience. There was a set menu with six courses and all the courses were very good. The optional wine pairing was the best I have had. The wines were each good and well matched to the food. Our favorite courses were the third, scallops and leek risotto and the main, hangar streak with potato truffle cake. Service was attentive without being pushy and considering it was New Years eve, typically a night where most establishments are not at their best, the staff performed well. Thanks for a memorable evening. We will be back.

I did not enjoy this visit at all. The food was not as divine and the worse part, I felt extremely rushed. I was contemplating guarding my plate with my utensils.

I had thought that having a New Year's Eve dinner at Sent Sovi would be a great way to bring in the New Year but I will stick to eating there during the weekdays. My total bill of $300 which included a 20% tip nonetheless, was not as enjoyable as my other visits.

For example, my date had already finished his course and I was still working on mine. A server removed his plate and was about to remove mine while I was still chewing!

We went for the New Years Eve pre fix dinner (6 course). The 12 hour braised beef was excellent as was the Porcini Mushroom soup. Fried oyster with Pork belly (bacon) and quail egg was cooked just right.
The scallop with risotto had excellent flavor; could hve cooked the risotto and scallops a little longer. Scallop was lukewarm and risotto slightly undercooked. Again, taste was good.
We'll be back.

Overall, I liked it & I'd go back if I have a chance. The chef has his taste buds well trained. Every dish has a definite flavor, but not excessively. Demi-gla was little too salty for my liking. Not too crazy about the dessert. Their selection for wire paring was a lot better than TJ.

An overall great experience. Very helpful wait staff. They helped make great suggestions by knowing the menu well. We will surely return. It's nice to have small, attentive staff and a creative but not overwhelming menu.

Wonderful experience - service was great and we were well looked after. Food was EXCELLENT. Loved the dinner and cheese selections. Dined there for a special occasion (birthday) and they were so sweet to put a small candle and "Happy Birthday" on the dessert plate. Highly recommend going there for special occasion/romantic dinner.

This is a stellar restaurant! We have been to Sent Sovi a number of times now and have always had a special experience. The food is wonderful, the service excellent. Their is a very warm feeling from the whole staff including the Chef, Owner and his wife/partner. Highly recommended

Attentive, friendly and informative wait staff; delicious food served with savory sauces; diverse by-the-glass wine list. Trust the staff to recommend entrees and wine pairings as they describe in detail their menu. In all, a superb dining experience, perfect for special occasions.

Expensive, a little confused the night we were there and not all that good for the $ They had overbooked and people with reservations were waiting 45 minutes plus, basically standing against the wall. They put us down below in another dining room with little ambiance. There was a party in the main room so service was slow. Once was enough - not going back

We had an excellent 3-course meal at Sent Sovi. The menu is structured in prix fixe fashion (tres Francais!). They have $65 & $85 menus, plus a special $45 chef's pick 3 course menu. We had the following:

To start: Oxtail Marmalade, fresh butter, pancakes - Amazing! The "marmalade" is really a very rich oxtail stew, slightly sweet. Wow!

Kuri squash soup: Perfect. Sweet. Rich. Just thick enough.

Moving on: Hangar steak w/ a sweet demi-glace. Perfectly cooked, and the glaze was sweeter than you would normally encounter. Also, had lamb ribeye, which was excellent.

Finished with: 3 kinds of chocolate, and maple creme brulee.

This place is fantastic! We had 3 courses in about 3 hours; it didn't feel slow. Just paced and excellent.

Everything about our experience was outstanding. The chef often comes out to greet his diners and his wife Khin Khin is very gracious as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a true dining experience (the waiters even render synchronized serving!) as well as a most delicious and meticulously prepared meal.

Food and service were superb. It was our first visit and on my wife's birthday. So I was pleased when the restaurant called to confirm our reservation they asked if it was a special occasion. From the time we arrived, every employee who came near our table wished her a happy birthday. When dessert arrived, there was a single candle burning on hers, just the right touch. Flowers that I had ordered (from a florist linked to their website) were on our table when we arrived. We we arrived at 5 PM, so street parking was still plentiful. When we left over two hours later, carrying our flowers. we were met by the beautifully lighted main thoroughfare of Saratoga. What a great experience. FIVE STARS ACROSS THE BOARD.

This is a wonderful restaurant. We picked Sent Sovi for a very special anniversary celebration and they delivered in every way. Josiah Slone is incredibly creative as the chef and came out not once but twice for long visits and an in-depth discussion of the food and his philosophy. Nick is fantastic as the sommelier and manager and he took us through some incredible California wines. We had the chef's special tasting menu--- a five-hour extravaganza! Sent Sovi is a perfect place to spend a special occasion and we'd definitely go back.

I've been to Sent Sovi for two anniversaries and a birthday. They always make me feel extremely special. More importantly, the food and service is outstanding. This past visit I had the best gazpacho of my life. Delicious. It's not inexpensive, but worth every cent.

What a great dining experience. We haven't been this gem in years....I don't know why. The food tasted great. I loved the pork chop. The salad was fresh and dressing very tasty. My wife loved it. We dined there for her birthday.

The staff (particularly the manager) was very attentive. We were there for our anniversary, and they treated us to a glass of champagne to start, and a lovely dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written on the rim in chocolate. They had good suggestions for the best dishes to have with the wine we had brought (and were very nice about the fact that we had brought our own bottle, as we had an older vintage than they did of a wine they carried). It was yet another great experience at Sent Sovi.

This is a dining experience that should not be missed! If you're up for a unique and enjoyable evening, and don't mind splurging on dinner then Sent Sovi is a wonderful choice. The ambiance is contemporary, colorful, inviting, and relaxed. The food is delectable, beautifully presented, and served in adequate portions. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. An added plus: they were willing to split one 5 oz wine pairing between the two of us. That way, we were able to have the experience of tasting four delicious wines with each course, without leaving the restaurant intoxicated!

What a lovely place for a gourmet experience. The service was perfect. The food was exquisite. The tasting menu is very fun and we enjoyed the wine pairings with it. This is an undiscovered gem in beautiful downtown Saratoga - I cannot believe this restaurant has not gotten more attention - a local's delight and a fabulous quiet spot with lovely downtown charm for anyone visiting.

Sent Sovi was a very pleasant surprise for us. We did the tasting menu, and the first three courses (plus a couple chef extras) were exceptionally good. Unfortunately, it sort of dropped a few notches with the entree, which wasn't nearly as good as the first few courses. The wait staff was professional and very knowledgeable,and the wine list was fantastic, with many hard to find french gems. Overall, I'd really like to go back and see if the one less impressive course was just a fluke.

This restaurant is over priced. My wife and I tried the Chef's Tasting menu for $85 per person. The food was not great, but the desert was terrible. The desert consisted of a dried cracker (with a fancy name, of course) and a simple rice cereal topped with dried cherries. The one big plus is the service.

Not as good as we remembered from the past. The dishes were all good, just not excellent - don't think anyone in our party exclaimed how good their dish was. Good, but not worth going out of the way for. Service was very good.

We were going to try the wine by the glass before we ordered a bottle, but our waiter must have forgotten. Needless to say it was a bad bottle of Pinot Noir and it somewhat spoiled our dinner. Food is creative and good. I would not have expected this bottle of wine to be on the list of a nice restaurant like Sent Sovi.

Also, the busboy kept coming back every few minutes to try to clear the dessert when we wanted to just relax and enjoy it. It pressured us to finish up and leave, which is a little upsetting when we're paying over $200 for a meal
