always a great meal at Selva Grill. service is excellent. Staff is very friendly and they can describe the choices perfectly. A little pricey but was isn't today. Tends to be a little noisy when dining room is full.

Parking can be a challenge so it's probably not worth your trouble. Disregard my over the top ratings for everything about this restaurant. I'm going to continue to go there/ often. If it gets better I'll let you know 😬

I love this place, I usually come here for my birthday because the Selva's Signature Skirt Steak is my favorite meal. Coming here on a random date night just feels like my birthday now and they never disappoint.. It's been many years and I've always been completely satisfied. They're very consistent with the quality of their restaurant experience.

The restaurant is beautiful when compared to the downtown restaurant, It is upscale with a lovely wall with a background painting enhanced by background lighting. The service was average. The server took much time to clear the first dishes from the table, and was not involved with the serving of the main courses. The first appetizer of a chicken dish could have been hotter. The food overall was served very nicely, were substantial, and tasty with the the skirt steak main dish having a number of different flavors and colors although the meat was somewhat tough. My wife"s filet was served medium and was just ok. I thought the price was somewhat high, but the ambience and food would be worth it for a special occasion.

Fantastic restaurant. All the meals are delicious. The braised short ribs, sea bass, and seafood duo are some of our favorites along with all the ceviche appetizers. The presentation is amazing - each plate is like a work of art. Service is excellent as well.

Each time I have eaten at Selva Grill UTC, my guests and I have not been disappointed. The chef knows how to blend flavors that individually standout to offer a different delicious take on the menu. I celebrated my birthday with friends at Selva and was greeted with a Happy Birthday sign on the table and a happy birthday dessert that was scrumptious. The service is quite good, the acoustics are great and the ambiance is pleasant. I encourage you to treat yourself to this one of a kind restaurant that is #1 in Sarasota for me.

Overall things were very good, the waiters were very attentive and we did not have to wait too long for our food to arrive. 2 of us ordered from the 3 items special menue which was good but the portions seemed a bit smaller than if we had ordered from the main menue. The size was a good choice for me, but my partner seemed a bit disappointed.....otherwise I would have given the food a 5 star.

We were really hoping to love Selva but unfortunately our service was just really terrible for such a nice night out. Our ceviche was very heavy on lime juice. More places than not, a server would note something not eaten and ask you for your feedback. Drinks were perfect, mushroom soup and Caesar salad were delicious!

I was very much looking forward to dining here because my last time there was outstanding. This visit however was not good at all. I ordered the salmon Chileno again but this time the waiter asked me for a temperature - he said if I don’t specify the chef will do medium so I asked for medium-well. Last time I was not asked for temp but the salmon was cooked through & delicious. This visit even though I specified medium-well it was completely raw & inedible. Only the very edges were cooked -it was quite literally a piece of raw fish. I understand that mistakes happen but our waiter never came back to check on us at all to see if everything was okay. The restaurant was almost completely empty with only 2 couples seated so it wasn’t because he was too busy. When I finally saw him & waved him over my husband was almost done with his lunch so there was no point in me asking to have it cooked more so I told him to just take it away. I could see from his expression that he was surprised how raw it was & apologized. He did remove that item from our check but honestly I think he should’ve just comped my entire meal (we did the 2 course price fixe lunch special plus a glass of wine) since the experience was so bad. I do hate give a bad review but this time it was warranted.

It was one the best meals I have had in years The service was 5+ star Our waiter Juan was so informative, gave us a great description of each item, very attentive. The presentation was absolutely beautiful. In fact, the meal was so outstanding we’re going back tomorrow for lunch.

The evening was a celebration by four couples, each having been married 50 years or more. Michelle was our server & she was the consummate professional. She was knowledgeable of the menu, efficient & engaging. She added to the evening greatly. All the diners remarked that their respective meals were excellent & Selva Grill presented us with a special dessert to honor us. Overall a superb experience.

Selva is a wonderful experience! The service is right on point and the food there are no words. I had the beef short ribs and my husband had the skirt steak. Both were just delicious. Cooked perfectly an d a good size portion. I highly reccomend both Selva Grills. You won't be dissapointed!!

Selva never fails to impress. We got the chicken and short rib spring rolls and the Cesar salad to start, all amazing. The filet was delicious and the rack of lamb was perfect. Juan was our server and I cannot say loudly enough how awesome he was. Attentive and funny and he did a great job. Thank you Juan and Selva!

Selva Grill has been in SRQ for awhile and and the downtown location has always been a happy hour/appetizer destination for us. Yesterday we actually had a full dinner at the UTC location. Always great cocktails and no exception on our visit. Recommend the smoked Old Fashion.. Our party of 4 ordered several appetizers and 2 entrees. The appetizers are very eclectic tapas type dishes with trendy presentation toppings and are pricey. We ordered the Skirt Steak and Filet for entrees. We found the entrees to be very good and priced reasonably. Total bill was $380 including tip.
