Selene Aegean Bistro is the newest venture from the family that brought you the Michelin guide recommended Nammos Estiatorio.
“We're incredibly excited to introduce Selene to the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood,” said Yianni Kerasiotis, co-owner of Selene. “Our vision is to create a unique, elevated dining experience for this city. Selene will be Greek cuisine with an exciting blend of culinary influences from all across the Aegean coast."
Selene's menu features locally sourced seafood and dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Aegean region, with many exciting twists. Guests are encouraged to order a range of dishes from our extensive menu selection, which are best shared family-style. In addition to the sophisticated fare, Selene will boast a curated beverage program, highlighting handcrafted cocktail, and Greek, Spanish and local wines.

Join us for an intimate evening as we celebrate a new chapter for Rigour & Whimsy, the visionary winery rooted in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Costa Gavaris, the passionate force behind the label, will host you through a curated selection of special back vintages, each thoughtfully paired with four courses from Chef Adrian and Chef Arish. From a college summer job in New Brunswick to a quiet obsession pursued through night classes and wine shop shifts in Vancouver, Costa’s journey to winemaking was anything but conventional. In 2016, Rigour & Whimsy was born, fuelled by a relentless curiosity and a deep love for the land. This evening is more than a dinner, it’s a toast to transformation, terroir, and the stories we uncork along the way.

Great experience from start to end. Approachable staff, genuine, friendly and ready to explain every drink and plate. Great sense of humour. Staff were genuinely happy to be there and to have us there. Everything we ordered were “plate-lickable” whether it was a dip, sauce, or schmear. Highly recommend!

Very nice place. Overall everything was great. Our server was newer and incredible! She said she had only been there a couple of weeks and was very knowledgeable. The only downside was we had a vegetarian and there weren’t too many options for her. Super nice place and do recommend!

Start to finish, a wonderful experience! We started at the bar and had the featured cocktail, chatted with the bartender about the components of the drink. Moved to our romantic little table and was greeted with a "Happy Anniversary!" We ordered the tasting menu and WOW - I wasn't even able to eat the dessert (and bonus anniversary gelato) because of how much food they brought out. For two people, two cocktails, tasting menu for 2 and one bottle of nice Greek wine, the bill was less than $300. In Vancouver, that is what I'd call a great deal. Will definitely be back!

We were hoping for a table and it became available- thank you. Service was top notch with great recommendations. The chef’s tasting menu was delicious and innovating. A lovely addition to the neighbourhood- I will return!

This is a wonderful restaurant. Eclectic wine list, interesting cocktails, beautifully prepared food, attentive service. The only reason I cannot give five stars is because of the noise level. I hate to have to shout at my dining companions. One of us thought that it would help if you turned off the music. Please try that at least.

I really enjoyed the experience for a date night. it was quiet early reservation for Friday night. We were there for drinks and appetizers, the lamb chops was delicious and one of the drinks with pomegranate was a huge hit. Great experience overall and would recommend.
