   Place is decorated to a high standard. Great ambiance. Food and service was exemplary. Some of the small plates were some of the best indian dishes I have had in a long time. Highly recommend and cant wait to come back.

   We had a lovely meal at the restaurant. Saeed’s service was excellent, food was delicious and the ambience was lovely.

   Easily the best Indian restaurant in Canterbury. I realize that’s a low bar—the other “Indian” restaurants in town are absolutely terrible—, but Sekkoya is not bad. It’s fantastic in comparison. Apparently the chefs are southwestern but they’re going for a bombay/parsi cafe thing (think Dishoom or Sodabottleopenerwala), and the execution is commendable. The default spice level is too low, but it’s hard to blame them for that (instead I blame the British palate), and anyway they said they can adjust it if desired.

   Beautifully designed restaurant offering delicious spicy food. The dishes all looked and tasted great. Excellent service from our friendly and helpful waiter. Wide selection of drinks including spirits, cocktails, beers and some decent wines. The decor is fun and comfortable.

   Went to Sekkoya for their Sunday Thali menu. We were greeted quickly and taken to our table. We notices it had a nice ambience and quality furnishings. To drink, I had the Tommy's Margarita and asked for extra spice - it was perfect. Then I moved onto the mocktail Cheeky Monkey - equally brilliant. My partner had a 'stunning' masala chai (he ordered two over the meal). We then ordered the meat version from the Sunday Thali menu for under £20 each. We were astounded by the quality of the food for the price - fantastic value. We wondered why it was so empty. We thought maybe previous review of a certain food critic might have had something to do with it. We eat out quite a lot and we can definitely say we will be back to Sekkoya. It isn't a waste of money when food, service, drinks and ambience were on point (sometimes you go out and it just isn't worth it for the money). Unfortunately, I didn't get the names of the waitress and waiter/bar tender but they were very attentive. Really, try it for yourself. We will be back.

   This was the 2nd time I’ve visited with my wife, the first experience was not a one off, this is the finest Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The decor is classy, the staff are first class, the food is genius and feels fine dining, the tikka starter and butter chicken are my new favourite dishes. The drinks options are extensive, the bar staff are gifted mixologists and are skilled to offer you wine suggestions with the food and are clearly passionate about what they do. Food comes out when it’s ready which means you’re grazing on delicious plates looking forward to the next arrival to the table. If you want a brilliant dining experience in a classy venue get it booked. Sadly for my bank balance this is on my doorstep….

   Food and service were great at Sekkoya. Justin was great serving our table, five small plates and 4 main meals allowed space for dessert between our party of 5. Cocktails were the usual mix, along with some house specials which are well worth having a go! Overall a good experience and we will be back

    The venue has a lively atmosphere with friendly staff. Cocktails were lovely and fairly priced. The food was exceptional and tasty. We love the small plate sharing concept. Our overall experience was very good and we shall return when visiting Canterbury again.
