Welcome to Sekkoya! We are a casual Indian restaurant and bar located on Canterbury High Street serving dishes that tell a story of our heritage, cities and family.

From street dishes like Keema Pau and Samosa Chaat found all over Indian cities to curries made from recipes that have been in our family for generations which we have enjoyed around our Mums dinner table growing up like her amazing Butter Chicken and Dum Biryani.

John, our in-house bar guru, has created a cocktail menu that takes you back to the hotel bars of colonial India, perfectly complimenting our food.

We have had two consecutively fantastic meals here and will be sure to make dining here a regular occurrence. Best Indian outside of London for sure. Highly recommend. Food was exceptional and service was perfect.

Nice Indian restaurant in middle of Canterbury, you will have to park your car in one of the main parking areas as no parking allowed by the restaurant. Food was very good, service was good but I asked if there would be entice for 2 and was told it’s a small portion for one “4.50” when it came there was enough for 3 !! So we wasted our money & we wasted the food … she did that to sell more food… I’ve had better but this was very good, I had the Chicken Biryani & my daughter had the butter chicken, I like mine when the meat has been marinated for a while, both the Biryani & the butter chicken were ok but meat needed longer to get the flavor and get more tender . Place was spotless & had nice ambiance. The rice pudding was lovely.

The small storefront reveals a gorgeously designed, modern Indian restaurant. The main dining room, looking twice as big using a wall of mirrors, is the opposite of the traditional Indian. Specially designed light fixtures and wall wood sculptures are not just pet but functional, avoiding the annoying echo in many modern restaurants. There are plenty of little playful details referencing India. The cool music bed is never too loud, allowing for easy conversation. And then, there is the food. Everything was authentic and utterly delicious. And all this came at an astonishingly reasonable price. We absolutely recommend this restaurant

Everything was perfect. The food was incredible, the staff were super accommodating and friendly. Thank you for a beautiful day. I would highly recommend this place.

The flavours were good, the portions could have been a little larger but it was quite reasonable on the price.Thestaff was a little slow clearing tables, taking orders and explaining the way it worked.

Really good food and comes out super fast, I would say the lamb chops are the best but super pricey. Kids meal was fab and also main food was really tasty but not spicy at all. Surprised that chicken 65 wasn't spicy as it should have been.
