This only has one stars because it wouldn’t let me leave a review without giving a star....it should be zero stars
We made reservations for Mother’s Day (Sunday) for a party of 6 at Sekesui in Collierville and when we arrived there was a sign on the door stating effective January 2018 the restaurant is closed on Sundays. This is extremely frustrating especially when we had tried to make sure we would not have a wait for a table on a busy day like Mother’s Day to only find we couldn’t even be served there and had to find somewhere else to eat at the last minute in an overly crowded pool of choices nearby.
Open Table and Sekesui need to make sure reservation are not accepted when the restaurant is closed for business.
Made a reservation on open table app. Only to show up and find that the restaurant has new hours and is closed for lunch is disappointing.
Food came out quickly and everything was excellent. Service was very good as well. Very enjoyable meal.
we go there all the time and we love it. staff is friendly and professional. food is always good.
Good food and great service as always. Prices are a bit higher at this location but we will return.
We had eaten at the Sekisui near Baptist Hospital in East Memphis several years ago (it is no longer there), but we had never eaten at the one in Collierville so we decided to try it for Valentine's Day. My husband loves sushi and I have to eat gluten-free. There weren't a lot of gluten-free options on the menu, but I was able to find something I enjoyed. Probably the biggest disappointment was that it didn't the same type of atmosphere that we had experienced at the other restaurant--nothing romantic about it.
Consistently good sushi with excellent service. I could eat there every night and never be bored.
Great sushi and waitress was great with my toddler son.
Awesome service, food selection, great portions and value. Everything is fresh and tasty.
The variety of the food was great and there were many options for the "spicier" variety of Sushi. The Tempura Shrimp was great as well.
Our server was one of the nicest and most attentive that I've ever had at a restaurant.
This is one of our favorite places to dine. The service is always top notch. Every staff member is super. The food is delicious. Great menu selections and generous portions.
Menu Selections: awesome
We come here at least once a month. It is always great. The entire staff is friendly and professional.
We had the Geisha box dinner, Samuri box dinner, salmon teriyaki, and variety of sushi rolls. We love the sweet potato tempura. Everything was super fresh and tasty. We will definitely come back.
Our boss was taking a group of us out for a birthday lunch & the original restaurant choice was fully booked with a wait list (Italian, lunch, a Friday before Valentine's Day, the burbs). I quickly opened Open Table and saw Sekisui in Collierville (who knew?). I was able to book us a table and even though not everyone in our group has "sushi experience" or enjoys the raw, there was something for everyone. We had great service and a mellow atmosphere, so we were able to converse. Our waitress was very attentive & suggested the "Poplar Roll" which was scrumptious.
They are super consistent. I go once or twice a month. The service is great no matter which server you get. The food portions are very generous. The menu selection is broad and food is always tasty and fresh. It is one of our favorite places to dine.
This is one of our favorite places to visit. The service is always excellent. Our server Megumi was attentive, friendly and professional. The menu selection is very broad. Food is generous portion and tasty. Great value for your money. We had the teriyaki lambchops, udon noodles, squid salad, chicken fried rice and variety of sushi.
Everything is awesome: service, menu selections, portions, price and taste. All our experiences here were great. It is our regular dining spot.
This is our regular place to dine. It is always great. Food portions, service, menu selections and value are all excellent.
We had party of 7. Service was inattentive. One meal was exceptionally late with no apology. Less expensive sushi rolls were of very poor quality.
Food is always good. Service was terrible. The tables are all very close to each other and there is no separation. They tried to stick us at the worst table right between to other parties both had kids jumping all around. Overall I would not recommend this location
I had the worst service...We had no service..My food took so long to come out that I finally told them to put it in a container to go...Waitress only came to the table to get the order, give us the food, and check..Spend $ 45.00 for nothing... Would never go back
It was too warm in the restaurant. The server said they were having trouble with the AC so they couldn't do anything about the air.
I was not impressed with the food, actually. It seemed to be just like all the other American/Asian restaurant food around here. It didn't seem to be authentic Japanese at all. We were pleased it wasn't expensive at least.
We pretty much stuck with sushi and appetizers. Quite good but that means it's not gonna be cheap. Had an excellent crawfish wonton appetizer.
