There was a large group near us who were behaving as if they were in a bar, doing shots and screeching. Being an open space, the noise filled the space and made it hard for us to talk. They also seemed to be the priority and it took well over an hour to get our food from when we ordered. They were aware and gave us free edamame and one large bottle of beer for six of us to share, but I doubt I’d return cause it wasn’t just one issue, but rather many. Too bad cause the food was pretty good. But there are enough other restaurants that serve similarly good food where I will get my food in a timely manner and be in a relaxed atmosphere where I can hear my own voice never mind the person across from me.
Food is great but super noisy
Food was very good though pricier than average. Great decor.
Awesome japanese restaurant in town. Surprised with special menu which taste really good.
beautiful and delicious food at great value! love the ambiance and our server was amazing - the most friendly guy and always had a smile on his face!! will definitely be back.
We’ve always like the food there. Service is excellent. But the over-hang window can use regular washing from the outside.
Fresh sashimi, tried chef’s aburi - fresh. Unagi donburi was good. Rolls were good - dragon, caterpillar. Bit pricier for the area but quality and taste are better
Great food, especially house rolls, but unfortunately poor service. Our water glasses were only filled on request. Had to always wave down a waiter.
My favourite Japanese place in the neighbourhood. Love the calm and unique decor. Service is excellent too.
Not authentic Japanese food.
No green tea can be provided.
Portions way too small.
Waiter need improve in english. I can hardly understand what he say. Food is ok but not worth the price. Appertizer came out last..lol.
New Japanese restaurant in my neighborhood. Not authentic but food is ok
Very enjoyed the vibes and decores. The food is not very traditional authentic Japanese sushi, it contains a bit too much sauce on top.
Food was delicious and well-priced. We went as a large group and the service was great. I would definitely go again. Get the Unagi Hitsumabushi!!!
The food was decent, but not exactly my type, that's why I personally wouldn't recommend.
The place looked great though.
Family dinner for out of towners. Great first time sushi experience. Casual dining with real wild salmon and crab!
Best Japanese place in town! Very large portion of food but very good quality. Nice service, cozy place, will definitely come back more often :)
Haven't been in for awhile so I went to eat dinner. I don't know if the owner changed but the food quality is not as good anymore. I think the way they make is different as well. The miso soup was cold and the new server kept getting our orders wrong.
good spot for large groups - i had up to 16 people (as it is hard to find last minute in vancouver)
service was not good though- very slow, didnt come to take our order for food or drink, we had to flag them down
food quality - decent sushi and variety, portion of sashimi was not very large but was fresh
The quality of the food is not as before. Ikura taste old. Not sure if it was a mistake, a kid's apple juice costs 3$. Other than that, the visit is average.
