Seed Kitchen & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Have been to Seed multiple times over the years. One of our faves. This time the experience was sub par. We sat in a booth near the bar area. Sam was our waiter and also the bartender. Service was not that great. No fault of Sam's but in our opinion of mgt. Shouldn't have a bartender dealing with a full bar counter, including patrons that are dining not just drinking, attempting to provide "full service". Our side came out 5-7 mins after our entrees. Long delays between check ins and second cocktail. Dessert took forever. Food was great as usual but again service was sub par. Chalk it up to poor mgt.
This Seed needs to sprout!
Ate their with my husband for the first time on Jan. 7, 2018.
Things started really well!
We were immediately seated at a very nice table and the overall ambiance - while stark - is very pleasant. My husband said it reminded him a bit if the old Four Seasons in New York.
Wine was ordered and delivered very quickly and the corn fritter appitizer was creative and very tasty.
The entrees and a side of garlic fries came out and that is when things began to go south.
I had the chicken schnitzel which was very good and a generous portion.
My husband had the seared blue cod. The cod was a small piece and was badly over cooked - very dry.
The garlic fries were limp and had been clearly sitting around for a while.
Service was responsive - asked if he wanted a replacement meal - he declined. They also brought a fresh replacement for the fries - which looked great until he ate one and found a long black hair embedded in it.
At that point he was done.
To Seed’s credit they comped the entire meal.
Brunch was delightful. I had the deviled eggs as an appetizer, a virgin Bloody Mary and the hash for my entre. It was SMASHING!!! My wife had the banana walnut waffles, son had Gulf shrimp & grits, daughter had strawberry mascarpone French toast, her boyfriend had the Merchant burger, niece had also had a Merchant burger and my sister-in-law had crab benedict. Not much left on anyone's plate. We treat ourselves on occasion and are always glad we do. Between this place and Drift we've really had two great meals this weekend.
This is my third or fourth time dining at Seed. We love that they take reservations and look forward to dining there in warm weather on the patio. Every item I have ever eaten there has been delicious and perfectly prepared. The waitpersons are very attentive though we never feel rushed. The value for what we get is most reasonable.
I have been coming to Seed since it first opened, as has another restaurant lover friend of mine, who found it independently. The service is always exceptional, and the food is outstanding the vast majority of the time. Sometimes it is just really good. This time the veal was not as tender as this rendering usually is. It was merely really good rather than epically delicious.
Excellent food and service. I recently enjoyed myself so much, I returned with my whole family for my husband's birthday. Loved the food and ambience. My daughter wished the taco appetizer was a main meal entree! The cookie skillet is very delicious and decadent! I loved the Salmon dinner and my husband and son loved the braised short ribs. So much fun!!!!
We dined here for my dad's 60th birthday and had a great time. The servers were excellent ensuring that we understood the menu and was very compliant with our requests. Food came out quick and was delicious. Only drawback is the lack of variety on the kid's menu although I wouldn't recommend this place for young families or people with children as its not very accommodating for them. Overall great dining experience.
Met friends for lunch during the Christmas holidays. It was the ideal place to meet - not only was the food fabulous (had small plates for appetizers and delicious, very Southern pimiento cheese and fried green tomatoes sandwich), but their wine list was surprisingly very good. Our server was super attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. The "hit" was the merchant burger - will have to order next time in Atlanta!
Utterly amazing evening. Everyone from the hostess to the food runners knew it was a special night for us and made sure to give us their best wishes. And on top of that, we enjoyed the most delicious meal paired with a perfect wine. Could not have been more satisfied with our experience. Truly a WOW night. Thank you Seed owners and staff. You deliver a great meal and an outstanding customer experience.
