A Simple Beginning for Seriously Good Times
Fun. Comfortable. Vibrant. In 2011, veteran restaurateur Dennis Barbaro wanted to establish a new kind of restaurant on a simple premise: to serve fine craft beer and wine lovers alike in a warm, natural and sophisticated environment.
Now with multiple locations and more in the works, Sedona Taphouse continues to offer an inviting atmosphere the community loves. Since its inception, Sedona Taphouse has won numerous awards for its craft beer selection and food offerings and is rated `World Class' by Beer Advocate.

I’ve been before with small groups. Wouldn’t go back for a special occasion.
Unimpressed. I reserved a table for four a week in advance.
When I arrived at the restaurant, I was very disappointed to find that the entire parking lot was reserved for valet parking. As a petite woman, I don't like to valet park my car because the valets always move my seat out of my preferred setting, so I had to self-park my car in an adjacent lot and hoof it back to the restaurant. Needless to say, when I left after dinner, I was apprehensive walking to my car in the dark, alone. Forced valet parking isn't a benefit.
Upon checking in for my reservation at the hostess stand, I was told that there was not a table yet available to fulfill my week-old reservation, and that I would have to wait a few minutes. Other parties arrived after I did and were seated before my party. About 15 minutes after I checked in, my party was finally seated - at a booth which was open on both ends next to the high-traffic and rather loud bar. Had I known that this restaurant wasn't conducive to conversation at a moderate volume level, I wouldn't have chosen it for a meeting with colleagues.
Of course, the beverage I ordered was "out of stock," because the beer list hadn't been updated from Winter to Spring (almost two months after the beginning of Spring). The beer list is many pages long, and the food menu just one. Our party of four each received a food menu, but we had to take turns with the beer list, which takes a while to read. It would make more sense to have multiple copies of the beer list available at each table - it is a Tap House, after all, and seems to want to pride itself on having a lot of beers available, so folks shouldn't have to fight over the beer list.
My chicken dinner was underwhelming: a grilled chicken breast with some cheese on top, served over a pile of "garlic" whipped potatoes (I didn't taste even a hint of garlic), and four sad stalks of grilled asparagus (which lacked any kind of seasoning). For eighteen bucks I expect some flavor.
Our waitress was awesome! She was very friendly and provided excellent service. Our food was great too!
I always enjoy Sedona Taphouse-Troy I love the wait staff service and the food is great and adorable.
I have always been satisfied with my experience. The Monday night steak and salmon specials can’t be beat!
Our waitress was awesome, food was awesome, and we even had other servers come to our table to make sure we were taken care of. I've never been to a restaurant with more attentive staff. Even the valet guy held the door open for us. Drinks were great, and food was on point. We'll definitely be back, and suggest Sedona to all of our friends and family!
We came in for dinner, we got sat at a table right by the restrooms and kitchen - so that was a little undesirable (we requested a booth for birthday) but decided to make the best of it. Appetizers were great, drink selection was large, our dinners were not good...We learned this is more of a drinks and appetizer type place or just lunch. All in all nothing horrible to say but nothing that really stood out as great.
Our waiter was amazing. He was constantly checking in on us and provided amazing service. The food was excellent and I will plan on going back soon.
We went to Sedona Taphouse for a Mother’s Day dinner. Service and food were excellent! Everyone mentioned they’d definitely be back.
Always good food and great beer selections
Amazing service and great food
Amazing food and service even on a business day like mother’s day.
Very good waiter and friendly. At times serves seemed a bit slow.
This was now our third visit to Sedona Taphouse. Enjoyed it as much this time as we did with the previous visits. We will be back again.
I’ve been here a couple times in the past and had great experiences but my recent trip was quite disappointing. My server never checked on us to see if we needed anything. After my friend arrived, she would only address her and not me. I asked her to split the bills and she completely ignored my request so when it was time to pay, she was given my cash and my friend’s credit card and again, addressing only my friend, asked ooh did you want the bills to be split? She was very unprofessional and dismissive. I would not want her as my server again. The food was good, but I’ve come to expect better service from Sedona.
Excellent deal on Mondays while supporting a good cause.
Our appetizers came quickly and were delicious. My friend ordered salmon with a side of sauteed mushrooms. Her fish came and the mushrooms came several minutes later. Not acceptable. I ordered pasta with parm on top. Pasta came, no cheese. These are simple mistakes that are the result of a lack of care and are annoying because they are easily avoidable.
We had a terrible experience and if I return it won't be for a long time. We had the worst waiter I have ever had. Everything went wrong. He was new at his job and tried hard but it ruined our experience. I had asked for a candle to celebrate my daughters birthday. We never got it. I went back to speak to him and he said he asked her if she wanted dessert and she said "no". That wasn't the point. It was a big birthday for her and I made the reservation and followed it up with a phone call and was told we would have the birthday candle. The drinks took forever and one was not available and he neglected to tell us. Then another one was ordered and he neglected to tell us that that one was not available. It took forever to get dinner and when it was finally served he only brought 3 dinners. My family wouldn't eat until my dinner got served and their dinners got cold while we waited. I left feeling very unsatisfied and frustrated. It was not the experience I wanted or had planned. So no, I will not return.
Great food and great service for a very fair price.
The portion sizes are VERY small for the prices.
Food was very good. Wife had to send chicken dish back because it was too cold, but they replaced it with a full dinner and it was very hot. We'll return...maybe order the same thing!
Upon first arriving to Sedona, the atmosphere is very warm a cozy as the first thing you see is the bar adorned with beer taps and cool brick work (not to mention more beer). Very busy too hence we had a good feeling.
Once seated, our waiter did a great job at welcoming us and going through the motions. This is kind of where it started to go downhill..
Though we were able to order relatively quickly, the wait for drinks as significant (~10mins).. From there we awaited the meal. Note: We have a five yr old son and though they feature a kids menu it's very poor.
I ordered the slow roasted BBQ beef and though it came out quickly, it was ice cold. Wasn't really asked how my dish was hence I just ate it. Additionally, my son ordered the chicken tenders and basically it's a cut up chicken breast disguised as tenders which lacks that expected kid appearance (did not look appealing whatsoever so I don't blame my kid for not wanting it). As a result, we asked for the grilled cheese as a replacement and though they turned it around quickly, it was on some extremely thick/course/hard bread that wasn't edible. So lesson learned, never take your kid to this place..
Great for beers, not so much for food. Oh well..
I would recommend it for a casual dinner. Very noisy. Hard to have a conversation .
Great place for a business lunch. They set us up in the most secluded booth they had so just request it ahead of time.
I have been dining at Sedona since the opened and I have never had a bad meal there. Service is always friendly and courteous, the hostesses are welcoming and the interior is modern. Love it.
Great gluten free options! It was fantastic assortment of menu items served by a really attentive server.
Just another very good meal and love the beer selections.
Easter dinner with my son. Service and food were great
Great place. Somewhat noisy. Interesting menu choices (in a good way). The croque monsieur however is quite light on the ham. One thin slice of ham between two thick slices of bread and some cheese just doesn’t cut it for me.
Way too noisy with rock music pumping for an Easter brunch. Food was not hot
Horrible service. Never recommending It or going back. 2 hours for a simple dinner. Waste of time.
Excellent service, and food prepared to specifications.
Our waiter, Jeremy was amazing, our hostess was absolutely Fabulous!!Everything was Exceptional!
A little pricey, but very good overall. The food was very good.
A good restaurant. Enjoyed the food. Enjoy eating here.
Mediocre food and drinks. Poor service. Ok atmosphere.
Be prepared for a loud environment with good food. Our waiter made suggestions on which appetizers were his favorites and what seem to sell the most. There was a good overall dinner and dessert selections . Valet parking seems to be the only close parking nearby, so prepare for a walk if the weather is bad.
Nice place. Good food. Fair pricing.
Excellent food and service. Noisier than I expected.
