Beautiful position overlooking Lake Baroon. A cracking day weather wise. Arrived at 12.20 for 12.30 lunch. Warmly greeted and table pointed to from the reception desk. Seated and water poured. Waitress comes within a few minutes and we order. One soup and two seafood stockpot pies to follow. After 50 mins and tables around us who arrived after us had received their entrees we politely asked if our soup was arriving. Waitress checks and says it will be here in 3 mins. Around 8 mins later it arrives. So we are talking an hr for a soup dish. When it arrives we ask could our main courses be following. ( By the way, the soup - leek and spinach was delicious). Again the mins tick by and after25 mins we ask again could the Waitress check and see how it was going - no problem - 5 mins we are assured. The main course arrives a few more mins than 5mins. Piping hot and I am eager to start. Disappointingly, there is almost no seafood in the stockpot, it is all potato with cheese and a little fish at the base and some scattered corn kernels. Very disappointing. So after 1 and 3/4 hrs we leave somewhat disappointed with the service and the food, except the soup. It was quite busy for a Sunday lunch, so maybe we were just unlucky re the service and we were overlooked. Once with the entree but not twice with the mains that is unacceptable!

Oh what a beautiful place! We had a sumptuous Birthday lunch with friends and could not get enough looks at the magic forest and the variety of very cute wood carvings. The family who owns Secrets are so approachable and kind. Seeing Waterfall tree house was the cherry on top of “the cake”. Thank you team! Wishing you lots of appreciation by many more content customers.

Fantastic Mother's Day High Tea experience - awesome food, service and the best location and atmosphere ever! We met the owner George by chance in the foyer afterwards and he offered to show us one of the cabins, which was marvellous (both the offer, which we accepted, and the cabin!)

We love secrets on the lake, but we came for the mother’s day high tea, we were just shown a table and then sat there for 15 minutes unsure of what to do. We called a waitress over and asked about ordering drinks to which she took our order. The Food was lovely but for $75pp it wasn’t quite what we were excepting.

Hello Terri Thank you for letting us know. I imagine that the restaurant was really busy and staff were really running. Hence the wait. As for our Ultimate High Tea the difference between it and our Classic High Tea is that we not only serve a pot of tea or your choice of coffee we also serve a glass of wine and an extra coffee as well as additional petitfors etc. Our High tea is based on the traditional high tea with several savoury and hot options as well as the scones and petitfors. I note some other places serve a lot of deep fried food with theirs. We have tried to make it substantial without being overly sweet afternoon tea or morning tea options. In general guests love what we serve. Hope you had a Happy Mothers Day Kind regards George and Aldy!

This was the most perfect setting for a fabulous lunch celebration . Our group of 5 enjoyed a variety of entrees main desserts drinks together with the rain made a wonderful atmosphere. The food was divine thoroughly delicious and staff very attentive. We will certainly return again and thank you Secrets for an awesome day
