Mara is the perfect bar to catch up with friends over wine, cocktails, brunch or dinner in The Shore in Leith.

Bring a few of your loved ones and unwind in scenic surroundings, either on our sun-trap of a garden or inside our contemporary bar and restaurant.

We pride ourselves on our expertly curated and ever-rotating wine list, creative cocktails and freshly prepared food including sharing platters, small bites and our popular brunch menu served until 4pm daily.

We are dog-friendly and now offer takeaway drinks! Please note that our outdoor area is for walk-ins only, but you are welcome to book our interior.

Absolutely delicious, staff were brilliant & almost as good as the food & wine. 😜 We cannot wait to go back - must visit when you’re in the Shore!

Back again for the STEAKDEAL! Quite different from our last visit but still a good deal nonetheless. Rocket salad with Pomegranate seeds and Apricot was a brilliant addition to the Steak frites.

What a great place Mara us for some food & drinks. We had the Steak Frites deal which was superb! We will definitely be back again and every time we are in Leith.

Portions quite small for price but tasted very good. Servers were excellent but service was slow. Would happily return.

Disappointed, food menu had been drastically reduced , very small choice, place was full but very noisy with drinker’s speaking very loudly and the service charge was 20% I enjoyed my steak frites but expensive for the portions, I’ll go somewhere else next time though
