   It was a very cold Valentine's day and we decided to stay close to home and give Secret Chopsticks another try. It had been months since we had been there and had heard of the changes to the menu. We were very pleased with our dinner that night! We opted for the evening special, which was a 5-course dinner ($79 for two people) and it was delicious. We had egg-drop soup, beef dumplings, grilled scallops and grilled lamb chops - plus dessert. Yum! This is a neighborhood restaurant for us and we are so happy that their prices have become affordable and their food is delicious. We will definitely be back!

   Excited to try Secret Chopsticks. It was certainly worth the wait! Sat in the lounge area which was extremely pleasing atmosphere. The dim sum was absolutely mouth watering. A great selection of meat and vegetable. Gong Pao shrimp grilled to perfection was tasty black rice. Wonderful wine selection! Great prices!

   Friendly, knowledgeable bar staff. Best to go during Happy Hour (M-F 4-7p) when drinks are less expensive and dim sum is $1.75 per piece. All were delicious. The shrimp entree was also great, but overall the menu seemed a little overpriced. I'll be back, but plan to stick to the HH.

   High quality authentic Chinese food, but it may not be appropriate for Western palate. We had the tasting menu which was ~$90 per person I think. Out of 10ish dishes we only really enjoyed two or three. There are better places to spend $90 on a tasting menu in the DC area. If you want to have authentic Chinese food (which is VERY different from Western Chinese food) this is a good place to go. Order the Sea Bass, that was a highlight.

   I recommended the restauarant to Zagat DC and Washingtonian. My husband recommended it to a local food critic and blogger - need I say more

   For a meal this expensive ($59 to $89 per person for four different 9-course tasting menus) the taste of the food should have been wonderful--but it was not. The service and presentation were both excellent, but there were very few memorable tastes in the 36 dishes that the four of us sampled. We ordered all four of the tasting menus (protein, dim sum, tofu and vegetarian) so that we could sample everything, but there were only two or three occasions where any one of us uttered a "wow" or an "ummmm." It was an interesting experience, but way overpriced for a meal that doesn't deliver tastes that impress.

   Absolutely awful. First 2 courses were inedible for me. My wife and son quit after the 3rd course. Walked out and won't be back.
