In Italian, the word, Secondo means “the second part of a duet.” When we opened Panico’s Bistro, we knew we wanted to eventually add some harmony to our original melody and so, Secondo is the continuation of our long-standing tradition to serve classic Italian cuisine in concert with Mediterranean influences right here in Cape May County.
We’re a family-owned business and we want you to feel right at home at Secondo. But, now that you’re part of the family, there’s only one way to keep Nonna happy – Mangia! Mangia!
Love it there...food is great as is the location !!!!!
Will visit year round.
Great food. Waiter was a bit in the weeds. Bad table location near restrooms and pizza guy. Lots of traffic.
Excellent food, service and view! Highly recommend - will go back!
Our server was great and the food was delicious! The Italian Harden soup is amazing!
Amazing food! Best in Cape May!!!
Secondo is a fabulous place!!! From drinks to desserts, top shelf. Waiter Tim was very good, just attentive enough. Drinks are generous pours for sure. Salads were fresh and flavorful. Appetizers were good too! Every main course was piping hot (you could see the steam coming off!), fresh ingredients and enough for two meals, so don't forget your to go box!Our entrees were Rigatoni with chicken ala vodka, Monk fish, veal (kind of )parmesan and clams and spaghetti. Not one complaint. Only one dessert, that was share by all because we were all stuffed, was a coconut cake that was very light and tasty. Do not miss this place! But do make a reservation. Even on a extremely rainy night it was packed!
Picked Secondo for a family birthday celebration. Overall is was a good evening. Everyone enjoyed the food. However the service was slow, especially drink orders. While it was no ones' fault the restaurant was out of many wine selections and we were told that one table ordered all of the sangria (which was the beverage of choice for the birthday celebrant). This was our third visit to this restaurant and probably not the best one.
Food is so delicious! Second time back in a 3 week span. We tie in the bar and near the windows. Extremely loud in the main dining room which made conversation almost impossible. Food was delicious, service was a little slow, but it was a crowded evening.
We had a great dinner at Secondo. Our waiter Randy was fantastic!
Excellent sister restaurant to Panico’s. Amazing meal.
Always great a great dinner here; however, tonight’s issue caused me to lower my rating and question returning here. One small thing - and it may seem picky- but we were charged $2.00 for bleu cheese olives in a martini. We were not told of the upcharge. But really! $2.00 for olives. Ridiculous. Cape May has many exceptional restaurants and I’ve never been charged for olives in my martini. $2.00 for olives. Just enough to p**s me off tonight.
Awesome! Great food...
Great we lover it there
We had a lovely meal! Absolutely delicious from start to end. Lots of menu options available for all palettes. Service was impeccable. Parking and reservations are a plus. Noise level is above average....but not obnoxiously so. Would definitely recommend.
The Monkfish special was amazing.... love this place...
A little pricey but delicious food and really nice atmosphere
Excellent service and delicious food!
Great overall experience .
First timers. What a pleasant surprise to find such a high quality venue about 5 minutes from our place in Wildwood Crest. Everything was great. So great that we’re heading back next week with friends.
Very loud restaurant to the point where it was very difficult to have a conversation.
We have enjoyed dining at Secondo multiple times since they opened and find the consistency in service and food preparation and taste makes this one of the much better finer dining venues in the area.
We were very pleased with our surroundings as well as our superb service. I have a food allergy and our server took the time to review multiple choices on the menu that did not contain the specific ingredient. The food was wonderful as was the portion and presentation. We will definitely return
This is our second time dining so far this summer. The oysters are amazing as were the filet and cocktails.
Great dinner with great service on a busy Saturday night in August. The restaurant had a great atmosphere with a pretty view. It was our first time at Secondo and we will definitely return.
Food is always great at Secondo and that's what brings us back.
Wouldn't be too sure if we were basing it off of noise level and service.
Probably cannot control the noise too much especially the acoustics however, the slow service can be corrected!
Ronnie is a nice, friendly guy but he disappeared more than once during a not-so-busy" night.
Meals were tastey and generous portions. Delicious drinks, seating facing marina was very nice. Service was slow. Delicious bread.
Our first trip and look forward to return trip! Fantastic service from Ronnie! From aps to dessert everything was pallete pleasing :) Noise level in main dining area was a little high but to be expected at a busy time.
Prices are reasonable compared to the portion sizes. Be prepared to take home next days lunch or dinner. Shtimp cocktail was high and have to try the watermelon orange crush cocktail.
Pork Chop was excellent and so was the red snapper. Don’t order the chicken parm. Chicken was good but the pasta was cold and the sauce was for the can. Service was excellent.
Great little place in the Marina. Service was great from start to finish. Food was ok not as good as I hoped based on atmosphere and service. My wife’s salmon was over cooked and the meat lasagna was ok. Willing to give it a second try.
Ordered a wild red snapper , it was a mess when it arrived at my table, had no taste and was $31. The waitress was embarrassed. Last time I dine there.
Antipasto plate was incredible. I had the monkfish topped with crab. My wife had the chicken which was deep fried and she said tasted like fish and chips. Brick over pizza was delicious - I would go again for the antipasto and the brick oven pizza.
Beautiful venue but veal parm was mushy and liquor prices are high.
This was our second experience and not as good as the first. The noise level is terrible and it’s difficult to enjoy a conversation while dining. We had a reservation but had to wait which we didn’t mind. We were then offered a table in the bar area which we did not accept. Finally seated, the service was slow and not very attentive. Overall, our main entrees were delicious but the calamari had no sauce or serving utensil. Won’t be returning anytime soon. There are too many other choices.
Waiter was very rude and service was slow. After the waiter took our order, I changed my mind. We flagged him down to discuss the change. He complained that my order was already in the oven, but agreed to check with the kitchen. He returned saying OK this time, but don't ask for changes on next visit. Trust me, there won't be a next visit. My order was clearly not in the oven, because the same dish was ordered by one of the other members of my party, and he didn't receive it for at least an hour later. When we ordered a 2nd glass of wine, we had to remind him twice, before receiving it maybe 20 -30 minutes later.
great food, great service, liked that the menu has something for everyone but not the basic boring selections! Will definitely return in the near future! And they have their own parking lot which is rare in Cape May.
Our first time at this restaurant. From the friendliness of our hostess to the excellent service of our waiter (Bogdan) was welcoming.
We had cocktails which were very good, appetizers and main entrees all delish. Will definitely return and have already told family/friends to go to Secundos
Our waiter was really pushing the specials (apps and entree) and the more expensive items on menu. We (4) were very happy with our food, no complaints. Although blue cheese olives were extra charge and didn’t know until we got the bill. But Overall it was nice and would definitely go back.
