From start to finish everything was fabulous. The drinks were perfect and the food was amazing.
Food was amazing!!!!
It was ok the ambience is great the was average the drinks well prepared
The KFC cauliflower and roasted chicken are both outstanding dishes, and quite filling. My friend and I shared both and there was still enough to box up to take home.
Overall it was fine. Food was Fine, service was OK, was a bit noisy.
We had such a wonderful evening thanks to our service and food!!
Always a great experience at Second Story. The food is great, cocktails delicious and service is always on point. One of my favorite places for a relaxing meal and drink.
Intimate birthday celebration for my Fiancé on a Wednesday. We loved the pork belly banh mi, $1 oysters, spicy tuna on crispy rice, and chicken yakitori skewers. Also, the drinks were delicious as well! We will definitely be back.
they should do more seafood specials, especially oysters
Very limited food menu and overpriced
Love the $1 oysters on Wednesdays!!
Was disappointed in the Covid safety protocols. Did not feel they were taking precautions ( very full restaurant,
Chef not wearing mask, server close to physically touching our food when pointing it out). Made for an uncomfortable night.
The service is attentive without being overbearing, and the menu is creative. The scallops were tender and flavorful, and the NY Strip was perfectly prepared. Second Story has a relaxing, fun vibe.
This was one of the poorest dining experiences I’ve ever had. Sat down during happy hour and ordered beers. 15 minutes later we were advised the Pilsner was out. We switched to glasses of Prosecco, which was offered at happy hour prices. At the end, we were charged in full. We ordered 24 oysters with extra mignonette sauce. We also ordered 2 entrees and asked they come out after the oysters. When the food came out the mignonette was milky and no extra was provided. The entrees came out at the same time. When pointed out, they said they could put under a warmer. One of my our entrees was a salad. The oysters were awful and we only ate 2.
Awesome experience. Great food. Good drinks. And the waitress was attentive and kind. Worth the money.
Meals did not arrive together—
Server had attitude. No communication on late meal or lag time.
Bar was noisy beyond the ability to talk and hear yourself. Music was too loud-
My friend mentioned that it was a bit noisy—the manager told her that perhaps this was not the right place for her and she should consider not coming back.
It was a new restaurant for us and we will not go back,
They didn’t care about our business.
We arrived at 5:15 and left around 7:15— all we had were appetizers and drinks!
Will not be back.🤨
Amazing place with amazinggggg food and service ! Live music is a great touch for this small
intimate place .. we are alwAys treated very well here :)
great venue, and very romantic location, i will definitely go there again.
Husband and I went for a date night. Food, service and ambiance were great! We will defiantly be returning.
Love love love always so fun!!!! Happy I came and they were so accommodating! Our server was wonderful she is so smart and helped us choose our cocktails by our preference not the $$. Truly respectable! 10/10 i’m coming back on a Wednesday for oysters!
Our waitress was superb, along with everyone else that came to visit.
We each did the 3-course meal to try a little of everything (biscuits, Kentucky fried Cauliflower, salmon, risotto, braised short ribs, and desserts) everything on the menu. It was great. Plan to go back soon and try the burger. Nice quiet small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere with a chef’s attention to detail.
Great pick for AZ Restaurant Week! Massive whiskey/scotch selection.
I try to keep political opinions to myself however there were a large group of obnoxious trump supporters taking over restaurant. Unfortunately they lost my business.
No staff wearing mask. Was told they don’t wear them. We left.
Great food. Fantastic staff and service. Excellent cocktails.
SS was always one of our favorite little places to go for happy hour. Overall the food was delicious. Had the albondigas which were tender and flavorful with some nice spiciness. The Tuna was awesome. The only complaint I can say is that the pork belly has changed. And not for he better. I always ordered it when we visited, and it was unbelievable; fatty, crispy and juicy. This time, however, the plate arrive with a tiny (about 3/4 cup) of very small pieces of pork belly almost over fried. When you cut pork in tiny pieces the fat renders out too fast and it’s not as juicy. Maybe some like it but I definitely prefer it the other way with larger chucks of PB. Also, the kimchi served with was like 2 bites worth.
I don’t know if it’s a money saving thing, but I hope they switch back to the way it was before.
One of go to restaurants in AZ. Great service and even better food and drinks. WtF biscuits are to die for!
Although they are brand new, they seem to be on top of it. We went for a dinner date and very much enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere has a speakeasy vibe inside even though it's not underground. We chose to eat on the deck. Everything was delicious!! Our server, Sebastian, was awesome! He had great suggestions and was present often to check in. We went on a Wednesday in which they have $1 oysters and they were so good we ordered a second round. Our only complaint was that the lettuce wraps had dirt all over the lettuce. But they took the lettuce back and cleaned it and they're super yummy! For week two of being open, if this is the only issue I'd say they have a successful future ahead of them!
Great cocktails and appetizers. Our waitress was very good as well.
We had an amazing dinner with great recommendations from our server.
Tommy and his team create a unique and inviting experience from the decor to the food to the people and the attitude. A must ok your list for adult night out
This is not a place that you would plan to go to in order to eat. This is a place where you can pick from an amazing array of spirits and cocktails and also eat some great shareable food.
Service was non existent. We had one round of drinks and appetizers in an hour and a half. Other tables were served before us despite being seated after us. Some tables left due to no service. We left as we didn’t want to continue to wait.
1st bad meals at this restaurant. Steak so tough it was hard to cut with a steak knife. Swordfish very dry. Warm beer to top it off. Waitress was very apologetic and responsive. No manager in site or ever stopped by table to discuss issues. Very disappointed.
Googles top restaurants in Old Town and they came up as one of them and I’m not surprised why. Didn’t know a thing about this place and we will definitely be back! Great food, service, and of course whiskey👍🏻
Good for after dinner drinks and appetizers, but’s drinks are not on the cheap side!
Overall was a letdown - great whisky menu, alright food.
The first courses were pretty good, we had the crispy pork belly lettuce wraps which were very good and the falafel which was good but heavy on cumin so if it’s a flavor you don’t love it’s not for you.
Main entrees were very disappointing, I had their special pasta of the night which was a small portion and was so salty I had to send back, after a few bites I was chugging water to make up for it. The other entree was their chicken Marsala which was nothing special and chicken seemed like it was from a rotisserie chicken and added in.
The staff at the restaurant was great and the overall ambiance was nice but the music was pretty loud.
thank you for your feedback, we took the pasta off your bill and tried to make up for it best we could, i am sorry we fell short for you and im sure if you come back on a less busy night we can make sure it's perfect.
We made a reservation for Valentine’s Day about a month in advance. One hour before our seating time, we got a call advising us that they had a “condensed menu“ that evening. It turns out that this was a price fixed menu which was a limited selection and dubious quality. Overall, a very expensive and disappointing experience. But it was too late to make a reservation anywhere else if we objected to the “condensed menu“.
Service is great!
