Best seafood I have had in a long time! Peche used to be my favorite place to go for this type of food, but these guys knocked it out of the park. I will definitely be coming back in the future.
Food quality was amazing, everything had a burst of flavor.
The food was fantastic, the decor great and our server Cody was an absolute delight!
Thank you for the wonderful comments on both food and service. We take great pride in both, and we appreciate you taking the time to recognize it. Our menu changes seasonally, so we hope next time you’re in town you come to Seaworthy again.
Beautiful space and fantastic menu.
Oysters for happy hour is a great deal and a great selection of oysters! The atmosphere is super cool too, rustic hipster vibe!

Every bite was thoughtful and delicious. Every staff interaction was thoughtful and delightful. The upstairs is simple charming.

I visited Seaworthy on a Saturday night and the noise level almost deafening. However the menu was very creative and the food was delicious and prepared very well. The building is lovely, very old New Orleans vibe, but a bit cramped inside. Would definitely recommend.
From the large selection of oysters to the hamburger, everything was delicious. We ordered a number of different items on the menu for our table of 4 to share. Everyone enjoyed every bite.
I would’ve preferred traditional saltines with my oysters rather than the fancier type they offered, but that’s certainly not a deal breaker.
Three scallops and some chips was the entire meal. The chips were hard and cold. The restaurant was very loud and dark. I’ve never eaten a meal and left a restaurant so quickly. I’ve got family planning to visit New Orleans, this is one of the restaurants I’ll tell them to avoid. Not worth the money because I still had to go out to get something else to eat.
Dark and moody ambiance- good for a date!
Cheers! Hope to see you again at Seaworthy.
I always enjoy this spot, service is usually laid back, which is fine, however service was especially slow this evening.
If you can, sit at the bar because Cody is amazing!
Wonderful ambiance that is completely New Orlearns- esque. Great food and craft cocktails! I would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Delicious place for seafood, loved the ceviche and octopus. Great service and atmosphere, would definitely return.
Great space for cocktails, good selection of oysters.
Birthday and they forgot to celebrate it even though it was mentioned on the open Table reservation we made
Great for Oysters
I can't wait to return to Seaworthy - food was so delicious, the attention to each flavor for every dish was amazing. And those oysters, oh MY!! Our server was delightful, knowledgable and had excellent timing. Thank you for the memorable evening!!
Great selection of oysters. Small dinner portions vs price. $28 for a small sliver of redfish. Not the place to go if your interested in a meal.
The food was amazing. A culinary treat with hints of Asian influence and creole accents. Ask for Cory. He was fantastic and passionate about the menu. The Swordfish was perfect and moist. The Wagyu Burger stole the show—delicious.
So good. The scallops, I can't stop thinking about that dish. Please try this place.
The food was beyond delicious (we started with oysters, I had the scallops) and the drinks were equally as great. Love the vibe - not too crazy. Would definitely go again.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Delicious oysters. We had apps and drinks and very pleasantly surprised. Our first time there. We liked sitting downstairs in the bar area.
The food was really good, especially the fried oysters. But it was freezing inside and I weigh 324 pounds so I’m rarely cold! The food was delicious though. The wait staff could have been a bit more attentive and the prices were a bit high, but fantastically fresh seafood made up for any other small misses. Overall it was an excellent experience.
Food was good. Fresh. Tasty.
Only issue was the noise level. Incredibly loud. Couldn’t hear the rest of my dinner party unless we tried to yell over the other patrons. Not sure if it was unique to this one night, but did make the dining experience less than ideal.
I enjoy my experience more and more each time I go to Seaworthy. We ate upstairs in their cozy dining room. Their oysters are so delicious - I liked the ones from the east coast most this time. And their scallops. Oh my goodness their scallops. Every bite melted in my mouth. My husband’s swordfish was excellent too. Our server was perfectly attentive. Another 5 star experience eating at Seaworthy!
The food was awesome, Josiah’s service was stellar. My only complaint was the profanity-laced rap background music. Our meal would’ve been perfect had something quieter or less raucous been playing.
Great spot. Fantastic selection of oysters and great drink!
We had cocktails and appetizers. Love the holy water!
As Josephine Estelle is one of our favorite restaurants, and I had heard good things about Seaworthy's happy hour, it was so surprising to have such a bad and disappointing meal. The portions are wildly small given the price, and the combinations of flavors, especially in the entrees (the redfish with buckwheat was abrasively sour and probably the worst dish we've had at a restaurant in New Orleans) were off. I would not go back and we'll stick with the constant quality of JE in the future.
Great ambiance! Freshest seafood! Patio options! Late night happy hour! Perfect for date night! A little pricey but worth it!
Their shrimp remoulade reminds me, back as a kid, on how shrimp should taste. Their Speckled Trout will melt in your mouth. Ambience reminds of an old pub at a port I visited in my travels.
Agree with all the comments about coziness - my wife and I very much enjoyed ourselves at a happy hour/dinner but since we only share the Waygu burger, I don’t feel that I can really comment on the food
Overall, it was a great experience.
The food was fresh and the service was friendly. Will definitely go back next trip to Nola.
Would definitely recommend Seaworthy. Seaworthy has a great selection of small plates which I like. I like small plates because I can try a variety of food. My favorite was the octopus. It was super tasty. Seaworthy has pretty awesome cocktails as well.
Our food for the most part was good but not outstanding. The fresh oysters were outstanding after a correction in the count/type from the server.
I guess from the beginning I was unhappy as I had a reservation well in advance requesting a round table for
our party of 5. When we were seated it was outside which was surprising as it was mid-90s that day and we
ended up being the only party outside the entire evening. I feel a choice should have been given if the only option for a round table is outside, especially given the temp. So this clouded our dining experience.
The service was excellent with a very knowledgeable waiter who knew the menu well, and neither rushed or ignored us. The perfect balance that many can't seem to get right.
Our food was fantastic, but the portions are small compared to the prices you pay. Don't let that scared you away, though; there is plenty of items to try. Just know going in you are going to cleary pay for your tastebuds to be thoroughly entertained and the service.
The open table process at the restaurant needs immediate attention, and it was not a pleasant experience for me.
In the app, you have the option of bar seating or standard seating, but it's not entirely clear as to what the bar area is. For the record, it's a lovely oyster bar, a regular bar, and downstairs restaurant service and if you have trouble with stairs, you should choose that option. If you want to see what I ran into, try to find a picture of the bar seating area and figure out what they are talking about in the app or online.
I did what any person would do. I called the restaurant and asked about the seating areas, while on that call I was told that they didn't take open table reservations, Huh, What. I explained that the app was allowing it and it was a 1000 point feature for the night. Fast forward; I arrived, informed the hostess I had an open table reservation and received assurance I was checked in. I had drinks at the bar, cashed out and then proceed to my dinner reservation, all discussed with the hostess upon arrival. During the end of my 159.00 meal, I received an email that my dinner reservation was canceled, again, Huh, What. The waiter talked to the hostess, who spoke to the manager and ensured me the issue was corrected. It wasn't; open table customer service fixed it, and I thank them for the fast response to my emails.
Don't let my long-winded review scare you; it is a place you should try at least once, and I do plan on going back.
Not sure whether this is a hidden gem or just away from the "main drag", but this was the best dinner of our entire trip. Every bite, from apps to dessert, was amazing! Fantastic raw bar. Octopus, scallops, shrimp were all delicious. Both desserts were even great! Way to go team!
It was great. Loved the ambience.
