Set in a classic Creole cottage built in 1832, Seaworthy was opened by Ace Hotel with support from the team at Grand Banks. Please note that we only have stair access to our second and third floor.
Seaworthy culls inspiration from Gulf Coast waterways, the time-worn traditions of Southern hospitality and the legendary exuberance of the city of New Orleans.

First time diners and we will return. Had the warm crab dip - amazing, the fried shrimp , scallops, mussels, and bakers dozen oysters all excellent for starters and had the crawfish roll, oyster PO boy and fish sandwich which were all enjoyable
Drinks were also well prepared and our server very good
Only drawback was the noise level
There isn’t enough that I can say about this beautiful space. The selection of gulf oysters that I ordered was some of the best that I’ve ever had. While the food and ambience was no doubt a pleasure to experience, The staff here was truly incredible and attentive making this a really enjoyable dining experience. The stand out star was for sure Courtney. So energetic and attentive without being overwhelming, and really very very kind. Seaworthy is a 10 out of 10 for me
Great experience! Thank you
Thank you Erik! So glad you enjoyed Seaworthy! Hope to see you again soon!
Wow. Food was incredible!!! We had Canadian oysters and they were the best I’ve had. Service was excellent. Live music was excellent. Mocktails were some of the best I’ve ever had.
We are flattered! Thank you for spending the time to write such a love letter. Hope you come back and see us soon!
The lobster roll and the crawfish rolls were great!
Thanks so much! Come get you another one soon! Cheers!
Food is great at this place
Thanks! We think youre great too!! Hope to see you again soon!
Timings on food got off. Waitress did a good job of adjusting.
Glad to hear the server was able to correct course. Thanks for the feedback and we hope you come back to see us again soon!
The service was amazing. Our server was on her first day and acted like a seasoned pro. She was friendly, efficient, pleasant and was engaging without being overbearing. The food was great as always. Sat outside in the breezeway. The candle light made the night.
This is such a great review. Thanks for taking the time to respond! We really appreciate you! Hope you come to visit us again soon!
Enjoyed the food, especially the mussels entre and the raw oysters . Wait staff may be stretched a bit thin due to pandemic recovery. But friendly and responsive.
We're doing our best with getting staffing back to where it was! Thanks for the kind words and understanding. Come back and see us again soon!
Everyone was super friendly and attentive. All the food was great. They even gave us a free bottle of champagne since it was our anniversary. Couldn’t have been better!
We're so glad you spent your anniversary with us! Hope to make it a tradition!
Very tasty food and drink
Nothing I could think to improve
More like Seaworthless! I have never had a bad meal let alone a bad oyster in NOLA until now. Very underwhelming and disappointing. Poor selection of oysters and they were not fresh, more like fishy and mildewed. The salad was confused Asian or?
Save your money and stay home or better get yet go around the corner where the oysters are fresh.
All around a very pleasant experience. I would return.
Thanks NeilP! We appreciate you taking the time to give us a great review!
Great place, magical patio seating
Thanks for the 5 star review!
Nothing note worthy... we made a reservation and we’re seated at a tall bar table with dead flies on the window sill. The bathroom I visited had a bottle of shampoo to wash my hands.
Consistently outstanding. We have been going almost weekly while 'snowbirding' and always end up visiting at least once when in NOLA for vacation. Be sure to try the 'Punch of the Day' for an exciting new flavour!
We're blushing! Thanks for the review!
Such a sweet atmosphere of a historic creole cottage with candles with a delightful seafood selection. Anything from oysters, fish, shrimp and drinks are all delicious. Love the courtyard!
Thanks for the sweet review. We really appreciate you and your love for great food and atmosphere. Hope to see you again soon!
It’s a great place to get oysters!
Thank you for the review! We think we have the best oyster selection in town! Hope you come back soon!
As always the best oyster place in New Orleans , their horseradish is legendary and should be patented best east coast flight in the city , ice cold millers and a shot during happy hour can’t beat it if you haven’t tried this place it’s a must go . Make reservations!!!!!!
Thanks Jason! We think we are the best oyster house in the city too. Hope to see you again soon!
Loved everything about this restaurant!
Thanks for the 5 star review. Hope you come back to see us soon!
There were three reasons we chose to dine with you.
One of them was that you were open until 11, we had just flown in and asked for 10 PM reservations. We arrived at 9:30, and were told that they were no tables available we went down the street for a drink came back at 10. On the way to the table the hostess tells us that they will be closing soon and that we had to put our order in.
Upon sitting down the server told us the same thing.
We ordered a dozen oysters and the shrimp.
We’re where eating our second oysters, and the shrimp came out.
You were out of the muscles as many other things on the menu.
We asked for the check, and noticed that on your website they are listed as $18 a dozen we were charged $24..
Please revise your website, with the correct prices and the correct closing time.
Food was very good. Atmosphere was pleasant. Would come back.
We hope to have you back soon, Richard!
Seaworthy is awesome. Great food, atmosphere, and staff. Couldn’t ask for a better experience
We think youre awesome too! Come back to see us soon!
It is really nice to find quality oysters, a food tour guide recommended seaworthy and they were right! The quality and variety didn't disappoint.
Thank you for the kind words Jeff. We hope to see you back at Seaworthy soon!
As we live in the area, Seaworthy is one of our favorite spots for Happy Hour. Our waiter Peter and back up waiter Logan are both excellent representatives of Southern hospitality. My wife enjoyed a sampling of the raw oysters, among the most diverse in the City. The Canadian selection last night were on point with the perfect balance of brine and texture. I cannot help but get the hot crab dip, that along with Crystal hot sauce make a perfect combination. Logan recommended the pea salad, which was a perfect balance of fresh spring green ingredients with a light vinaigrette. Over the years, the the new manager has this place performing among the best in the City. Request an outdoor table before it gets too hot, they are so relaxing.
Wow! Thanks for the great review! We really appreciate you taking the time to give us a a shout out.
Courtyard dining at it's finest. Oysters (especially the Gulf Coast) were excellent. The beer and wine selection was also very solid. On a nice day this outdoor dining experience is stellar.
Everyone was so nice and made my daughters birthday special
Wife and I dined here for the 1st time, and enjoyed the food, despite somewhat sketchy service. I ordered 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell, but only received 4. I pointed this out and did receive 2 more a few minutes later, but our waiter never once acknowledged the mistake nor did he apologize. My Wife throughly enjoyed her scallops, and my fried gulf shrimp were superb. Finishing touch of chocolate fudge brownie ala mode was divine.
My husband and I just moved to New Orleans and made reservations for Seaworthy’s crawfish boil, Easter Sunday. The weather was gorgeous so we sat on the outside, side patio. The ambiance of the patio was beautiful. We both ordered a drink from the cocktail list and enjoyed our selection. Due to some dietary restrictions, I requested another drink... but needed something a bit less sugary than my first. Our waiter listened to my request intently and the bartender did an amazing job, coming up with the light, refreshing, low sugar cocktail I had in mind.
The crawfish boil was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Not too spicy (which we also like, but not so early in the day) but very flavorful.
Finally, I have to give a shout out to our server, Nick. He was pleasant, quick witted, very helpful and gave us excellent service. We felt Nick went out of his way to make us comfortable and feel at home.
He also gave us suggestions regarding the regular menu as we definitely will be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience, our first holiday, in our new home.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Food and ambiance were great.
Wonderful selection of oysters. Dined in an outside area I didn't know existed pre-Covid
This place is great! We make sure to make a reservation each time we come to town. The food and drinks are consistently great and the setting is very intimate and romantic. Service is attentive and very welcoming.
Great menu! We were not that hungry so the small plates were perfect. The Mama's Crab dip is amazing! Good wine selction for happy hour.
Came here with my fiancée for my birthday, they took that occasion and knocked it out of the park. The server and manager were very great full that we decided to celebrate my 40th with them. And we were very appreciative of the experience.
Side note. The burger is VERY good.
The menu constantly changes but everything is done with fresh in mind.
The food, drinks, and atmosphere were excellent. Unfortunately the wait staff seemed quite tired on a Sunday night. We had a reservation and were not even seated until 10-15 mins later. the entire night dragged on as the host, waiter, and all staff seemed to ignore us. we were constantly waiting on them. we got there at 8:15 and did not receive our appetizer of oysters until 9:15. not sure if i would recommend it to a friend.
Although our server was very nice, he wasn’t very knowledgeable of the menu and certain selections. He was very friendly but not timely with taking our drink and food orders.
Being a seafood restaurant in New Orleans, there should have been a more vast seafood selection.
$3 per oyster is at least 3x market price.
Overall, restaurant was nice but menu, service and some prices could be tweaked.
The service was terrible and the food was terrible. We were so upset. The social media pictures that were posted by the restaurant were so deceiving. The food was of poor quality and sloppy on the plates. Service was sooooo slow. We will never go back or recommend this restaurant.
Obviously going for the hip, we have good food and could care less if you eat it vibe, we won’t return. In order, rude greeting and no help with a pre dinner drink while waiting for table, or even a mention of the bar 8 doors down. Drafty table, forgot items repeatedly, zero staging and all courses arrives at once, waiter more interested in woman behind bar that costumer, soup and no spoon, etc etc. Food is fine, even good, every other aspect is a mess!
