Set in a classic Creole cottage built in 1832, Seaworthy was opened by Ace Hotel with support from the team at Grand Banks. Please note that we only have stair access to our second and third floor.

    Our waiter was great but overwhelmed. We had charboiled oysters which were good then the shrimp and grits and mahi mahi. The latter needed salt and the shrimp was overwhelmingly seasoned with saffron and tasted too soapy. Food also came out on top of apps which the tiny table could not contain.

    Nothings was spectacular and we ordered a number of items. However. Homemade crackers were great and we didn’t eat oysters which are their specialty.

    Had 4 pm dinner on Sunday in order to catch flight back home. Happy Hour oysters were a great value as were drink specials. Shrimp and greats were very good, but imo could have used a bit more kick. Fish and chips were very good as well. Sat in the bar area, not sure if main dining room was open that early

    This is my fav for oyster selection and a drink. The upstairs room closest to the street is incredible too loud. It sounds like everyone is shouting; I could barely hear the conversation at my table. Table is rather small. After eating the oysters, there wasn’t any room for dinner and drinks and the table had not been cleared to make room.

    A surprisingly fun and tasty dinner. The oysters were wonderful, especially the char-grilled ones The shrimp and grits were excellent. Service was very good.

    The food was bland, not seasoned and unfortunately not hot. Unfortunately that went for all entrees ordered at the table. The drinks were expensive and tasted different each time the same drink; from different people, was ordered.

    Absolutely stunning restaurant. The decor and overall atmosphere were perfect! The cocktails were well crafted and the food was out of this world! Our server was fantastic and gave us some really thoughtful recommendations. Will definitely be returning next time I’m in New Orleans.

    I’m hesitant to post a negative review because I also love this place and have had great experiences in the past, but y’all really disappointed on Friday afternoon. Our ceviche, when it finally came after multiple inquiries, was literally frozen chunks of fish. Oysters were hastily shucked and had a lot of broken pieces of shell in them, and were arranged on the platter haphazardly and ended up getting soaked in the melting ice. Server was a nice fellow but was really uninformed about the food and wine list and didn’t come check on us or see if we wanted another round of drinks before happy hour ended. It was a bummer. Do better.

    The food was good, but unfortunately the service ruined our experience. We had to ask several times for drinks, one of our sides never showed up (thankfully not on the bill) and the waitress was MIA most of the evening. She could have had at least one additional round of drinks and more food if she was more attentive, but in the end we went somewhere else when we were done with what we ordered.

    The food was amazing, but in my opinion the table are way too small, so you can't order more of one item at a time. During a game, you can't even have a chat with your table companion, its way to loud, but when I went to the bathroom, that back area where you have more table, was complexly empty. I have spent $384.00. Maybe next time a place where more space is available will be more worthy.

    I took my wife there for her birthday because she wanted to eat oysters from the northern east coast. There weren't as many choices for oysters as the menu led you to believe, but the ones we did try were outstanding, especially the ones from Rustico, PEI. The soft shell crab appetizer was also excellent as well as the cocktails.

    Service was absolutely awful. Restaurant has a bad smell, like a ship. It’s a seafood restaurant but I think it has poor ventilation. Food is decent but it ended up being really expensive for what it was. Dessert options were trash.

    Came in for Sunday brunch - staff was unprepared (not to mention dismissive and apathetic) and the kitchen was out of essential ingredients rendering much of the menu unavailable or undesirable. Food was more than acceptable, although I typically expect more given the $75/pp tab with only a single cocktail. You can do MUCH better for way less in New Orleans - sad, given the restaurant’s reputation

    Food and service were great, however the website menu and inhouse menu were different. Not a huge problem as most restuarants ensure freshness of dishes by sourcing what is available for the day. But please bring back the chili crab!
