A vibrant quirky diner with friendly service, hot coffee and satisfying menu portions.
You get us! Hot coffee, and food that feels like a warm hug is what we strive for! Thanks so much for dining with us! Mike Mackley General Manager
Best breakfast in town. Crab Benedict and egg sandwich
Thank you so much for dining with us! I love both of those. The crab benny is definitely my go to! Hope to see you again soon! Mike Mackley General Manager
This is such a fun and lively place. My guests loved the decor. Crab Benedict is top notch taste treat.
Hey Pamela, Thank you so much for the lovely note! That crab benedict is for sure a favorite of mine. We are running a salmon lox benedict with dill hollandaise special this weekend! Come try it out! Happy new year! Mike Mackley General Manager
The clam chowder was very good, but the rest of our meals were disappointing. I had a chicken pot pie that was OK but my S.O.'s halibut was way overcooked and very dry - granted, halibut is a delicate fish, but we expected more from a Douglas restaurant. Wait staff were very friendly but not particularly knowledgeable about their fare. Not sure I would use the term "ambiance" but it was comfortable and casual.
Beautiful oysters, the best halibut we've EVER had and THAT PIE! Coconut Cream Pie and Pecan Pie to die for!!! It is so hard to find a restaurant that you can have a pleasant conversation in these days without feeling like you have to lean in and yell at your date or strain to hear if you are on the receiving end. Not the case here. It was such a refreshing change of pace to be able to sit comfortably and have a conversation in a normal tone of voice over dinner. Thank you!!!! Looking forward to coming back to try your Fishmonger Stew!
Wow thank you so much for the lovely review! We really appreciate you dining with us! Please come back soon, the Fishmonger Stew is amazing, and will definitely warm you up as the weather gets colder. Cheers! Mike Mackley General Manager
We L💜VE this place! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and did it in true PNW style - at a Tom Douglas restaurant! We started with steamed clams with chorizo, butternut squash soup and a crab cocktail (never would have thought to use coleslaw as a base - YUM!). Dinner was halibut and clam linguini (DE-lish!) We capped it off with warm apple pie and a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. Perfect NW dinner! And our server Phil was awesome.
Trying out a new restaurant. Food was just okay. Good location and friendly staff. In the future would only go drinks.
Best crab Benedict ever! We visit every time we are in Seattle.
Hey Ron, Thanks for coming to dine with us! We really appreciate the love! Come back to visit soon! Mike Mackley General Manager
Great location, super nice staff, food was okay but nothing spectacular.
It's an ok place to go. Service was great. Food was ok. Location was perfect for the evening.
Food was good. Portions were generous but not the seafood part of the entree. Prices were higher than other spots in the area too.
Hello MNeating, Thank you so much for dining with us! I really appreciate it. Thanks for the feedback too, we'll take a look at our portions and pricing and adjust accordingly! Cheers, Mike Mackley General Manager
We love this place!!! Every time we visit Seattle we always dine here for breakfast.
It was very noisy. The food was good. Strongly suggest the fried chicken thigh. If you like cider you’ll be in heaven.
We had breakfast on a Monday morning. We tried the day before but it was packed. Food was really good and the staff was very nice and attentive.
The service was outstanding! Will definitely be coming back!
We are avid diners and it is rare for us to travel and eat at the same place twice; we did it here! The food, drinks and service were OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend this place!
We had a large party of 7, and the staff handled the challenge completely. Our orders were taken, prepared, and served flawlessly. The food was all fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Dungeness Crab Louie.
For a Tom Douglas restaurant I was disappointed. Clam linguine -- pasta was tough, clams were tiny and way too much garlic on the bread -- which if it had been roasted garlic might have been ok. We also requested a table on the patio, which was not honored or acknowledged.
The only thing that made the evening not a total waste was the coconut cream pie.
We had a large party coming in and SeaTown employees couldn't have made it easier. Fast service, great food - and our server, Phil gave us an amazing experience!
The food was excellent. I pushed myself to try something new - the Crab BLT - and it was really good. This place is a must when visiting Seattle.
Limited menu but the 4 entrees we had we're very well prepared. Food is lots better than the decor.
Breakfast was very good . In the in the market and has lots of open space so it is not a quiet place.
The service is slow, there was hair in my margarita and I had to track someone down to remake it. They could have offered it on the house, or desert or something.
We’re huge fans of TD’s restaurant. We honestly love his restaurants. In fact our favorite is Carlile. However, Seatown was a big let down. Food was nothing, not impressed, at all. Portions are super tiny, and that goes for dessert. $12 for a sliver of a slice for triple coconut cream pie was ridiculous. We’ll stick to our favorite. Serious pie is amazing. Dahlia is a classic and still one of our faves.
Overall great food, really nice atmosphere, friendly ad attentive service. My only recommendation for improvement is not to charge for bread.
A little pricey, but that was to be expected, considering the Pike Place Market location. We had lunch at a patio table for two. The weather was sunny and cool; fantastic! The food and service were great; really enjoyed it.
We met friends on Sunday for lunch - it was lovely! Thankfully we had a reservation and were seated on the patio. The food was exceptional! we had oysters, a king louis salad, clams/mussels and a chicken potpie that was full of chicken & vegetables (contrary to another review's experience). I was delighted to finish with the triple coconut cream pie that they always talk about on Seattle Kitchen! This was my first Tom Douglas restaurant experience - I can't wait for the next!
Great food, good times!
The food was good. Perhaps not as exceptional as I have come to expect from a Tom Douglas restaurant, but still good. We recently had a clam chowder at another Seattle Oyster Bar that was exceptionally good. We were disappointed that the chowder at Seatown didn't measure up. But all in all, we would recommend the restaurant and probably return.
Slow service. Did not earn the 20 percent charge. Food was good.
NIce menu, solid service and strong beer/drink selection. I recommend for groups or for waterfront views.
Reservation work like charm however I came for the biscuits and gravy the gravy was room temperature and partially separated when I asked for more I got the same room temperature gravy for my now room temperature biscuit.
Tourist spot but good food and service was great for our group.
The restaurant felt grimy. The service was slow. Been here many times, but seems like it’s declining. Miss the bar.
King Louis salad was fresh and flavorful and filling. Chips and Salmon dip was a delight. The asparagus starter with blue cheese, bacon, and cashews was other world. Crisp and tasty seasonal drinks specials and the servers were first rate while maintaining a casual atmosphere. Love this place and will return!
It all started with the host kindly making sure that 6 of us could sit outside on the sunny day! He was so kind! Our server was helpful and easy, we all loved our food!! We had an excellent time!! We love Seatown!
Lived in Seattle 3 years and had not gone here yet. Right at end of Pikes Market so great location. PNW food prepared with flair and great service. Definitely recommend this Tom Douglas restaurant. The manager “Mike” and his staff do a great job here!
Not thrilled. Expected more from TD joint.
Always love the experience at Seatown! Years ago it was my first Tom Douglas restaurant experience and IMHO it's the standard for quality, value and atmosphere. There's something for everyone
