We had a large party of 7, and the staff handled the challenge completely. Our orders were taken, prepared, and served flawlessly. The food was all fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Dungeness Crab Louie.
For a Tom Douglas restaurant I was disappointed. Clam linguine -- pasta was tough, clams were tiny and way too much garlic on the bread -- which if it had been roasted garlic might have been ok. We also requested a table on the patio, which was not honored or acknowledged.
The only thing that made the evening not a total waste was the coconut cream pie.
We had a large party coming in and SeaTown employees couldn't have made it easier. Fast service, great food - and our server, Phil gave us an amazing experience!
The food was excellent. I pushed myself to try something new - the Crab BLT - and it was really good. This place is a must when visiting Seattle.
Limited menu but the 4 entrees we had we're very well prepared. Food is lots better than the decor.
Breakfast was very good . In the in the market and has lots of open space so it is not a quiet place.
The service is slow, there was hair in my margarita and I had to track someone down to remake it. They could have offered it on the house, or desert or something.
We’re huge fans of TD’s restaurant. We honestly love his restaurants. In fact our favorite is Carlile. However, Seatown was a big let down. Food was nothing, not impressed, at all. Portions are super tiny, and that goes for dessert. $12 for a sliver of a slice for triple coconut cream pie was ridiculous. We’ll stick to our favorite. Serious pie is amazing. Dahlia is a classic and still one of our faves.
Overall great food, really nice atmosphere, friendly ad attentive service. My only recommendation for improvement is not to charge for bread.
A little pricey, but that was to be expected, considering the Pike Place Market location. We had lunch at a patio table for two. The weather was sunny and cool; fantastic! The food and service were great; really enjoyed it.
We met friends on Sunday for lunch - it was lovely! Thankfully we had a reservation and were seated on the patio. The food was exceptional! we had oysters, a king louis salad, clams/mussels and a chicken potpie that was full of chicken & vegetables (contrary to another review's experience). I was delighted to finish with the triple coconut cream pie that they always talk about on Seattle Kitchen! This was my first Tom Douglas restaurant experience - I can't wait for the next!
Great food, good times!
The food was good. Perhaps not as exceptional as I have come to expect from a Tom Douglas restaurant, but still good. We recently had a clam chowder at another Seattle Oyster Bar that was exceptionally good. We were disappointed that the chowder at Seatown didn't measure up. But all in all, we would recommend the restaurant and probably return.
Slow service. Did not earn the 20 percent charge. Food was good.
NIce menu, solid service and strong beer/drink selection. I recommend for groups or for waterfront views.
Reservation work like charm however I came for the biscuits and gravy the gravy was room temperature and partially separated when I asked for more I got the same room temperature gravy for my now room temperature biscuit.
Tourist spot but good food and service was great for our group.
The restaurant felt grimy. The service was slow. Been here many times, but seems like it’s declining. Miss the bar.
King Louis salad was fresh and flavorful and filling. Chips and Salmon dip was a delight. The asparagus starter with blue cheese, bacon, and cashews was other world. Crisp and tasty seasonal drinks specials and the servers were first rate while maintaining a casual atmosphere. Love this place and will return!
It all started with the host kindly making sure that 6 of us could sit outside on the sunny day! He was so kind! Our server was helpful and easy, we all loved our food!! We had an excellent time!! We love Seatown!
Lived in Seattle 3 years and had not gone here yet. Right at end of Pikes Market so great location. PNW food prepared with flair and great service. Definitely recommend this Tom Douglas restaurant. The manager “Mike” and his staff do a great job here!
Not thrilled. Expected more from TD joint.
Always love the experience at Seatown! Years ago it was my first Tom Douglas restaurant experience and IMHO it's the standard for quality, value and atmosphere. There's something for everyone
Probably our favorite Tom Douglas restaurant. Consistently excellent food from an ever changing and creative menu at a surprisingly reasonable price.
And the market/viewpoint adjacent location make it a great place to take out of town guests.
Delicious food and great service. We went for my fiance's birthday and it was such a delightful experience overall.
Laura, thank you so much for celebrating such a special day with us! I'm so pleased you enjoyed your experience! Andrea E Guest Relations, TDR
Taking out the bar was THE biggest mistake. It was was gave the place any character. No longer my favorite place and won't frequent more often. Now it is just a bunch of tables in a place that serves okay food. sorry to see you go...
Although it is well located, it is still a mediocre restaurant, with discreet dishes, pore service, and above that compulsively add 20% service. My recommendation is to choose any other restaurant in the Pike Market area.
Oysters were fantastic! Cocktails, not so much. The alcohol selection was severely lacking and drinks took far too long to get to the table. Food was delicious.
We have been to Seatown every time we visit Seattle since our son moved there 3 years ago. This was our first disappointing experience. The menu has changed and is more limited, the food was average, they no longer have chopsticks to use with items such as the Ahi Poke, and it was just no better than fair.
Michele, I am disheartened to read that you did not enjoy your experience at Seatown. Our menu does change, as it is seasonally influenced and locally sourced, but we do try to have something for everyone! I have passed your comments along to BoH management for review, so we can continue to improve for our guests. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. The food was not outstanding with respect to its price
A great location for friends visiting Seattle. Service and food was fantastic.
6 of us eat totally pedestrian food that was very expensive. That's it for Tom Douglas.
Went on a Thursday evening before a show. Quiet and nice. Good service. Good bread. Great butternut squash soup. Disliked the ribs. Crab caesar ok. Great salty dogs. Pricey for what it is but expected for Seattle.
As always it’s a great place to go for dinner and conversation.
Food was ok, but service was terrible. Barely saw our waitress. She seemed to always go out of our way instead of coming by us. Saw her multiple times just talking to other tables instead of doing her job. Tom Douglas, you have lost a customer and I will never go to any of your other establishments.
Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we enjoyed our time there.
Great staff, local food and flavor!
The staff, management and wait staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. When we had to wait for our table, the manager brought us chips and a yummy salmon dip. The only low point was slow service.
My clam chowder was luke warm, and the chicken pot pie, while OK, had way too many onions and not nearly enough chicken. When I mentioned the chowder issue at the end of the meal, the server insisted on removing the charge and said someone else had complained, too, so he wasn't surprised. I expected more from a Tom Douglas restaurant. Overall, quite disappointing, although the outdoor seating was nice.
We had the salmon burger and the Caesar salad with crab. The salmon burger was very dry and rather tasteless. The Caesar salad was better, but it was disappointing because all the romaine was stacked as large whole leaves. The dressing was good but the salad was difficult to deal with. Also the crab was basically shredded with only a few very small claw pieces mixed in.
