Outstanding food as always. Seastar is one of our favorite restaurants!
Seastar has been our goto restaurant to celebrate any special occasion. Love their sushi and the cedar plank roasted salmon is our favorite. Their crab cakes are delicious too. Service has always been great. I have never had a negative experience since I have been going there ( from 2013).
Food and service was excellent as always.
Service was great, but food mediocre. Poke very salty.
Went for an early Mother’s Day dinner with our son and granddaughter (1yr). Seastar is one of our favorite restaurants. Our meal was impeccably prepared and delicious. They accommodated our granddaughter who handled her first fine dining experience without disturbing other diners. 🙂
I would recommend Seastar to anyone who enjoys good food well prepared and efficiently served! Kudos to the entire Seastar staff for a wonderful experience!
Our waitress Erica was excellent! Great service.
The whole experience was great and the seafood was delicious.
Good ambience and server are kindly for us. we like to sea star
This was our first time at Seastar but definitely not the last.
Great service and food
Food was phenomenal! Best salmon I’ve ever had!
The only place I've ever had a Mai Tai that tasted like those I've had in Hawaii. Food was delicious. Service was impeccable. The only thing they could improve would be the dessert selection.
I was expecting so much more. Our dinner was very expensive, over $250 for two people. Yes we had two cocktails and two glasses of wine, but still.
However the quality of the food wasn't much better than McCormick and Schmick's. The sushi was slightly fishy (but okay). Grilled Salmon and Sole were just okay.
For those kind of prices I would expect it to be so much better, but sadly it wasn't. The staff was fantastic, however.
Ambience felt a bit corporate. Kind of like a place you'd go to for a business lunch and not for fine dining.
It was a lovely evening. Every staff member we encountered was warm and professional. Our server was especially accommodating and helpful. The manager also greeted our table and visited with us for a bit. Thank you for another wonderful dining experience.
Fantastic food, service was superb and went above and beyond to make it a special night for our us and our friends. One of the best restaurant experiences we have had in quite awhile!
Pricey, not worth it. Decorated in 60s and not updated much since.
Raw fish was excellent quality though, gets a start or 2.
Recommended by waiter dish (clams in thai coconut sauce) was awful and probably an experiment gone wrong. They offered to get something else though.
Wines selection was good and prices comparable. Heard cocktails were good, but didn't get to that.
Seastar is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent. On our most recent visit on April 30, 2021 there was an automatic 20% “service charge“ added to the check. I have never been a fan of automatic service charges because regardless of the quality of service and/or food you still tip 20%. This will cause us to go there less frequently now. If at all. 😕
Fabulous Seafood food
We had excellent service and the entire staff was very attentive.
We all had the seafood stew and it was very good
Caesar salad was delic.
They made us feel welcome and attended to our every need.
Can’t wait to go back!!!!
SeaStar is one of our favorite restaurants. This is the first sit down restaurant we visited once we got vaccinated and things started opening back up. The food was wonderful. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the "Seattle Restaurant dine out" menu. It was a very good value.
Always a delicious meal with excellent service. Spicy ahi roll appetizer i better than what you get in most Japanese restautants. Their seafood is always cooked to perfection and their panna cotta is excellent. Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or to simply have a superior Tuesday night dinner.
I enjoyed the crab cakes. The salmon was good, the fillet minion was nothing to brag about. It is really hard to not enjoy a fillet, but the 6oz one was meh. Overall the experience and quality of the food is not worth the premium price.
It is always a pleasure. Both the staff and the food were excellent.
Great service and food. Presentations were over the top. We just moved close by so it will be one of our Go To restaurants
First time back since the beginning of Covid. Did not disappoint - was great value on SRW.
Great attentive service.
We always enjoy our visits
We went there for the Seattle Restaurant Week. And oysters were great (as always) as well as the salmon and sole that we had ordered. Deserts were also good too. Not to mention they have a full list of wines and beverages. Will visit again for sure!
Very poor service. I suspect the waitress was the sole reason for our experience. I told her I needed fish cooked all the way through for medical reasons. She told me that the Mahi Mahi was always cooked thoroughly. It was just seared when it arrived. She took the forked pieces back and said she would throw them on the grill. I would have expedited a new piece of fish for $50. Afterwards, she was very condescending as said “so are you happy now ?” Salad and soup was served prior to getting our drinks. She brought a dessert menu to my daughter and said “the birthday girl can pick out her dessert “. We thought it was complimentary. It was not. All around not good and we won’t be going back.
Good food but server seemed overworked and walked off in the middle of while I was ordering to tend to another table.
Rarely do I give the top rating to anything. The service was excellent. As to the food, everything was very tasty. However my swordfish was a tad bit dry. The oysters were excellent. We will go back again when in town.
Seastar is one of my favorite restaurants in the Seattle area and it once again, was an excellent experience. The food is top-notch, good portion size, fresh and tasty, and the service is equally good. It's a beautiful restaurant as well, not too formal but very tastefully decorated. I will return for sure.
I dined by myself a d felt very comfortable.
Food was hot and the servers were all very friendly.
Great service, food and atmosphere! We went for my husbands birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
This is my second time visited this restaurant. Food is great and service is wonderful. We ordered from the Seattle Restaurant Week Menu and the server informed me they might run out of the oyster. But he came out with a higher quality of oyster since he knew I really would like the oyster. I think that was very nice of him to do so.
Exceptional service and delicious food. Little pricey, but large portions and fabulous presentation! Definitely going into my personal Restaurant Hall of Fame.
Fabulous food, great cocktails, and spectacular (but pricey) wine list. The service is friendly, witty, and efficient. The ambience suffers under a lack of decoration and feels a bit empty. The background music (80s disco) was odd and unfitting the elegant food and awesome wine experience.
Excellent meal and fantastic service. Beautiful presentation. Another great evening at Seastar!!!
Great food and service! However I strongly object to the 20% service charge going only to the restaurant. I am happy to pay a service charge, but that money should go to those who are serving, not the company. It’s very greedy of Seastar to not share that money with the waitstaff/bartenders, etc. Am not sure we will go back there.
Thank You for the feedback. I believe that there is a misunderstanding. Yes we do collect the 20% Service Charge, and that money is then distributed to the hourly service staff that provided your experience. This includes the Server (who gets the biggest portion), the Server Assistant, Bartender, Hostess, Sommelier, and Kitchen staff. Any Salary staff including management and ownership do not receive any of these funds. We pride ourselves in providing industry leading compensation which includes Wages, Commissions, and Benefits. Thank You again for your feedback and I hope that this explination clears things up. Mark Manca GM
Very nice experience! The service was over the top and the food was truly exceptional. Will be coming back again soon.
Love this place!! Great food. Great service. My favorite restaurant.
