Great ambiance, food and service. Great outdoor dining spot and they have dock space available to come by boat. Will definitely be back.
Recent return visit bringing friends who have never been here before. They were delighted as we are with the food service and atmosphere.
Get the Shrimp Fra Diablo
It wad the best I have ever had
And ask for Justin, a great server
When ever we have out of town guests we love to take them to this spot on Lake Boca and the inlet. It is such a special location with good food and ambience. When we want a bite to eat outside we come here and feel like we are on vacation.
Creative menu executed beautifully. All of our dishes were exceptional. One negative observation on the watermelon/arugula/feta salad was that there was not enough feta cheese & no mint oil. Asked for some balsamic drizzle. Delectable mango margarita! Just did not like plastic glass.
Wait staff seemed overly stretched between tables. Understandable with Covid staffing problems. Conversely… busing staff was clearing too abruptly. Had to stop them before they took a dish that was not finished! I suspect they wanted to turn the tables for Walk in/Reservations. We arrived early did not extend our stay at all.
During our 26 yrs here, we always loved the location/setting of this restaurant. Seems upon revisiting that the food is better than ever. Looking forward to our next visit. Hope it remains consistently good.
The wind was awful. Not the restaurants fault but it was not enjoyable. Food was average. Servers were very good.
The salmon dip was very good to share. The ambiance was beautiful. It was a windy night by the water so hold on to your stuff. ;0)
Great Ambiance… a little noisy, but expected on a Friday night. The Food was good, but the service was mediocre at best.
We had a couples date and what a wonderful time! The views were beautiful! It was light up perfectly! Ambiance was very relaxing! Service was good! Not excellent, but it’s alright! The food made up for it! Delicious! We had the salmon, was cooked perfectly, the quinoa salad was good, I would of add a little extra dressing, but I mean, you are ordering a healthy salad. The catch of the day was grouper and it was delicious!! Yum! And the skirt steak with chimichurri was cooked perfectly and it tasted Devine! Drinks were strong and delicious!
Wonderful experience... beautiful view beside the Intracoastal and delicious meal!
The website photo was pretty and inviting. In person, it looked totally different. The "water view", which was hardly visible, was that of brown water. The scenery was a parking lot, and an overpass with traffic. Nothing pretty. The food had to be sent back-the fish was dry and the rice was overly spicy. When the fish came out again, it was less dry, with no taste. The broccoli was sitting in the bowl with a lot of water, and could not be eaten. To make matters worse, it was overpriced. The hamburger was cooked correctly, but had no taste.
The waitress was good.
We would not go back. For $90.00 we could get a far better meal elsewhere!!
Great place. Loves the ambiance and decor. Right in the water, nice breeze and seating arrangement
The "Wop Cocktail" was tasty. The Grilled Octopus with Chorizo, & Fingerling Potato's was yummy. We enjoyed The Grilled Mahi-Mahi, although it was a bit overcooked. The Meal was topped off with a delish Chocolate Tort.
& the patio was very pleasant.
The ambience makes up for any imperfections. Some of the dishes in our party didn’t vine out on time or correctly but the manager was attentive. I would absolutely go back!
It wasn’t very busy, they happily moved us to a better table, which was nice. Food was excellent, music was good, I’d go back.Very casual.
The location is beautiful and the food is fine but the amount of flies that swarm your table when the food is served makes it difficult to want to go back. The service was extremely slow - it took more than 20 mins to get our drinks.
Location is great. Service great. Food selection limited but all good
Very nice but very casual dining. Great for a low key afternoon or happy hour for sure! Expected a finer dining experience but I will go back with that in mind. Could use more options on the menu
ambiance was perfect, starters are great but main course wasn’t that good for the price .
It’s a nice outdoor location next to the inlet, but getting there, and parking, isn’t exactly convenient. The menu is fairly limited but the food was good and it’s not overly expensive.
Food was ok, just ok though. We ordered the humus and it came with stale pita bread. Service was lousy. Our waiter never came back to the table to ask for a second round of drinks or for dessert... Location is nice though
The restaurant has a outstanding feeling and views
The food was great for a very simple menu
Service was excellent
They have valet parking and they need it
The pear torte appy was amazing! The ambience and location on the water was perfect. Looking forward to returning:)
Great outdoor setting on the water in Boca Raton with creative and tasty dishes and cocktails.
Wait staff not experienced and need more training. A bunch of young boys who were nice enough, but not ready for the job. My salad was missing the fennel, And I asked; he brought a soggy tasteless little bit. My fault, as I should have returned it and have the kitchen do it again! And lastly, our 3 mugs of coffee came to us COLD. THE CHOCOLATE cake was much too dense and barely eatable . I’m a baker and know this cake!. I chose this spot for my birthday. The location was great. Hope they can improve on a very small menus.
We went last night, there was a short rain spurt right before we arrived and the staff was scrambling to dry things off and figure out how to proceed. Sadly, they never were able to get it together thoo. The hostess, a young brunette, was super rude and clearly didn’t care about her job in the slightest. After we waited 35 minutes for our table and she sat 2 groups that came in after us, I asked her about it and she was even more rude. Our waiter was great…….when he actually came by. The food and drinks were pretty decent. The redo is really fun and the location is incredible. They gtta get a better staff/service situation here thoo or this place will be dead in the water in no time.
We were seated promptly and ordered drinks and appetizers which were very good. My husband’s hamburger was ordered with only onion and tomato, no cheese. The waiter and manager said that’s the way it comes even though it was not ordered with cheese and had to be remade while the rest of us were eating. My $14 Caesar salad was insufficient in size and bland in taste.
The flies were impossible and when we asked if anythycould be done to help the situation we were told no.
We had been there before and had a much better all around experience but don’t know if we one back.
It was okay, nothing special. Overpriced, good ambiance.
This is a welcome update and addition to the barren waterside eating scene in our area. It has potential to be better, but was a nice experience considering it is newish. The murals are beautiful and the seating super comfy…just note it is all outdoors with umbrellas…and flies. It would be nice if Sea Spray could have expanded into the indoor restaurant space, but maybe a big ask for these times. I loved the ambiance, the music and our drinks and apps were delicious. Our fish dinners (he Mahi, she salmon) were good but presentation was a little sloppy and overcooked. I also wish there were placemats and coasters, even if paper. Our server was super sweet and had to make apologies for the slow start in getting us our cocktails…I think there was an issue with ice. I would totally go back to Sea Spray for drinks or lunch. We were there on a Wednesday date night dinner and it was a little quiet. Welcome!
Nice location. Food was good for an outdoor grill. Definitely not fine dining. Plastic cups etc
not ready for prime time, understaffed, there are better places despite the water view
Great please to hang out with friends or for a date during sunset.
We had a lovely table right by the water with a cool breeze to take the edge off the heat. Our waiter, Daniel, was attentive and pleasant. The octopus was our favorite. It was cooked well with a nice char and the preparation was unique. The salmon was also very nice. The cocktails were nothing special.
Seating was excellent for 3 adults and 2 children 5 + 7 with relaxing views.
Nice setting, big portions, but food was average. The shrimp tacos were terrible (the so-called shrimp was like little hard breading pieces); the mahi Reuben was good but the bread was sliced ridiculously thick. Our friends enjoyed the hamburgers. The fries (sweet potato and regular) were OK but just average. Servers were nice, trying to please, but orders were not as requested eg dressing on the side (they promptly fixed it when pointed this out), and we were given the bill for a different table.
We had a reservation for several weeks yet the hostess wanted to sit us by a busy pool at dinner time. We requested a table on the deck which was much nicer. Our waiter was polite and efficient, the drinks were good, the appetizers were delicious and our burgers, both meat and vegan, were good.
The evening was delightful and we will definitely return for another dining experience.
Wonderful outdoor poolside location on the intracoastal waterway. Food was tasty and very good. Drinks from the bar were resort style pouring and prices. Like most pandemic eateries they are short staff so the wait staff is hustling and pleasant and not as available as you may like. It is informal, casual and relaxing and our party of four will return.
Disorganized. Staffing issues. Food was good and pretty location
We chose to have dinner at the “new” restaurant at the Waterstone, advertised with tropical colorful decor and beautiful photos of food and drink. What we experienced was FAR from that. We had been to this pool bar a few times in the past and thought we would be dining at a revamped upscale restaurant. Instead, it became immediately apparent that this was a classic “lipstick on a p—- or pool bar” situation.
Relatively the same bar/bistro menu as before.
While swatting away flies and talking over screaming kids in the pool, We both ordered burgers cooked medium and a bottle of wine. After slicing my burger in half, we saw that it was raw, not rare, raw. The waiter took it back and returned a few minutes later with what I thought would be a new burger. Nope. It was mine, still sliced in half and no doubt just microwaved. Really???
The staff all seemed generally annoyed at even being there, including what appeared to be the two managers who spent time cleaning tables and delivering drinks but, from what I could observe, never speaking to their customers.
Finally, I get the whole thing about not having glass when there is a pool nearby …. So don’t try and sell a high-end experience including an expensive wine list and serve drinks in plastic throw away cups. Really disappointed with our dining experience but that may be mostly due to our feeling we fell for some false advertising here and expected something entirely different
Flies and disruptive kids was not conducive to an enjoyable meal
Cushion should have been checked after rain had sat down and wet my attire
Food over priced and drinks not made well
