The Butternut squash bisque was fantastic! We were late because of some construction traffic but they seated the rest of our party anyway which was awesome. We had tickets at the Mondavi and we time limited. When we arrived they were already alerted that we were a bit more rushed than we would have liked and were great about it! A bit noisy but the food def made up for that. Our biggest regret was we didn’t have time for the bread pudding and our wives told us it was a no-no to ask the table next to us for a bite!! We’ll be back next time we have a show, but make sure we have more time to relax and enjoy!

Food and service were good, but the noise level is HUGE! Don't plan on having a conversation with your meal. This is why I don't recommend this restaurant.

A cut above most dining options in Davis. Service is great and the menu has creative choices as well as traditional favorites.

Anniversary night. Waiter & his shadow were very attentive, friendly, & professional. Food(filets mignons specials were very tasty) was high quality and went excellently with the Dry Creek Zin( only negative was we ordered 1 medium & 1 medium rare, which implies red bloody juices...got 2 mediums-still flavorful). Carrot cake bread pudding was a winner! Overall a great meal and a nice experience...again!

My boss & I love this place! It was recommended by a close friend of my boss who've been friends since their college days in the 60's at UCB. It's a reasonable drive for us to come down from the Sacto area and his two friends to take the trains that's walking distance. The food is great, especially the Niman Burger!

Unfortunately, the wheelchair access is inhibited due to the restroom access being a difficult turn from the swinging doors and we were seated dead center which made the noise factor noticeable and difficult to hear some of the conversation from friends.

We like this place so much that we made a point to try and meet at Season's the 1x per month for their luncheons. However, this is the second time that it was apparent that the server seems displeased. Either she does not want to be there or that is her disposition. No greeting with a smile nor is she nice when she takes our order. Almost as if we have offended her in some way. Not only have I observed this, so has my boss who is a very nice person who does notice these things but doesn't say anything. (I do. I am very mindful of how customers are treated because I'm one that believes ALL people should be treated with respect.) It had almost made me comment that maybe we shouldn't go to Season's anymore because of the awkward feeling that we are made to feel when greeted.

Thank you for asking how our experience was.

We started our dinner celebrating "Good Neighbor Day" with shared plates of heirloom tomato & mozzarella salad and deviled eggs, which were all OK, not great, although we had to ask twice for plates and silverware to share. Our main courses included the pork chop, which was well prepared; however, I was charged extra because my guest asked to substitute the grits by mashed potatoes, which I thought was a little odd. Two of us had the crab-cake dinner, which was very disappointing: mushy, lukewarm crab-cakes that lacked any seasoning or appreciable crab-meat texture, served with overcooked French fries that were too hard to be picked up by a fork. The Empire State Dry Riesling was a good find. However, overall a very disappointing dining experience.

I absolutely enjoyed our dinner at Seasons, a unassuming restaurant on the south end of laid back downtown Davis. Our party of 6 sat outside in the rear patio, which was lit with pretty white twinkle lights and surprizingly quiet considering the patio backs to the parking lot and the train tracks. Our meals were superb - absolutely exceeded expectations. I ordered the salmon which was fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly, served over a lovely assortment of steamed veggies. I tasted my husband's meal and all I can say is, "The polenta? GET IT." So Delicious. Our server was polite and prompt. I just can't say enough about this place - absolutely unexpected perfection in the middle of downtown Davis.

I have been to Season's countless times. They must have been very short staffed, although there were not many people at the restaurant, as the service was exceptionally slow and bad. It took 45 min to get our order taken, the food took forever, no one ever checked on how we were doing . When the desert menus came out, they ran out for the last 3 people at one end of the group table. No apologies or effort to get more, the server just walked off. I would still recommend the restaurant in general, because this was an anomaly, but it was very disappointing to have bad service when we were hosting business guests.

Looked forward to a fun, enjoyable retirement celebration dinner out--left feeling disappointed. Have eaten at Seasons before. Limited and relatively unchanging menu is a given. Only fish offering was over-priced $32 salmon served with cold vegetables (no salad, etc.). Had to ask for additional breadsticks; service this time was pretty marginal. Greeters were very pleasant & welcoming. For couples like us where my wife routinely makes the "surprise" decision to get the--you guessed it, SALMON, this presents a dilemma. I don't mind spending the extra $$$ for value but in this case it seemed to be less value & more a ransom for those whose taste bud go toward fish.

Overall we had a good meal there. However, it was not as good as other recent visits (last time maybe a few months ago). Some comments:

1) The coffee we had was pretty bad - tasted a bit like instant coffee.
2) The noise level was almost intolerable. We were there as a family - two adults, two kids. And we could literally barely hear each other speak without yelling. Not sure why this was. It sounded like the volume was one for a TV or radio on top of really bad acoustics.
3) The service was OK but not great.
4) The food was fine. Nothing bad. But nothing particularly exceptional.

We eat at Seasons frequently and have come to think it is the best restaurant in Davis. We appreciate the creativity and freshness of the menu, the vegan options, the high-quality cocktails and wine list, and the varied kids' menu. Service can be spotty and staff sometimes seems harried, but I'm giving it four stars because service on our last visit was excellent. The ambiance is a little too much like a generic hotel dining room, but the noise level is reasonable and it is pleasant enough.

The sandwich choices were solid. The wedge salad had nothing hot added but the lettuce was not crisp. They could use more appetizers on the lunch menu but the goat cheese app is good. Steak- meh.
Sort of has a diner feel.

Seasons continues to offer authentic yet interestingly prepared entrees while offering a large assortment of small plates. Half price bottles of wine throughout August cannot be beat anywhere in town. Seasons does fish very well. Salmon almost always available but try the crab cakes and halibut or sea bass when available. I personally like the pork chop or duck breast. Good desserts.

Good reliable food. I have dined here many times. The food is well prepared and creative. It does not have a long menu but the options seem extensive with small plates, salads, pizza, and entrees. Many items are cooked in wood fired oven. I will go back again an again for a high quality meal.

The fish was overcooked. This is the third time I ordered fish and it was way overcooked and hard to eat. Seasons is overpriced for the quality of the food. The food is good but not exceptional and hence should not bear the high prices

Seasons overall efficiency & quality sadly slipping since ownership change last year. This was our fourth visit since & cracks in the kitchen are showing: Chicken chop recipe either altered or meat vendor changed - sent back. Restaurant two-thirds empty, but bar & kitchen service lagged . Disappointing after a decade of patronage. Very much hope they get back on track.

The ribs are a little pricey but they were excellent, meaty, juicy and well-prepared, as usual. The 'tiger prawn fettuccine' was pretty basic; it actually was not served with fettuccine but with slightly overcooked spaghetti (a big difference for pasta lovers), which made the dish even less interesting.

We arrived early for our reservation on a very busy and extremely hot day. They seated us on the patio and provided water and drinks while we waited and got us into the indoor dining room about 45 minutes early. They were very accommodating and service was quick. Polenta and corn bisque were probably our favorites.

Looking for a vegetarian option we chose the pasta with spaghetti, potatoes, lentils, asparagus, and vegan pesto. This was just too much starch, starch, starch with little to know flavor. We did ask for cheese but it still didn't add the flavor needed. There are few interesting items to order. On the plus side, however, the waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. Tonight it was quiet (though it can be quite energetic at times.) And, for Davis, it is one of the few restaurants open late which serves a menu that is not designed to attract the university student crowd. Good for getting a nice drink or a glass of wine. Would continue to try the food once in a while but is not a place we go to often.
