    Just shared an amazing anniversary dinner with my husband at Seasons. The entire experience was superb, from the greeting at the door through the entire meal. I started with a fabulous cocktail followed by the branzino fish - a whole Mediterranean sea bass with wheat berries and brussels sprouts, all seasoned perfectly with Mediterranean spices. My husband had the wagyu burger, which was more like a burger tostada on a pita. Both of our meals were fabulous and the excellent, friendly service was a huge bonus. Seasons hit it out of the park with their new chef. Give them a try - you won’t be disappointed!

    Seasons has become a weekly date for my wife and I. The newish chef is amazing and the team works with grace and energy under the gentle direction of always effervescent Ben. The new squash soup is to die for, and the lamb tagine is delicious.

    For a party of 8 people, the dinner, dessert, service, and price was very confusing. The beet salad appetizer was tiny and the market salad appetizer was huge. The salmon power bowl was small and very salty, but the smashburger was massive and very difficult to eat. And finally, the "cheesecake" was deconstructed and about a 1/2cup size, but the olive oil cake was a big slab. It truly made no sense. The service was awkward (either rushed or non-existent) and felt almost passive agressive. Absolutely, not worth the price.

    We all loved everything we ate. The vegan meal I had was excellent; the tofu steak was perfectly seasoned and loved muhummara (my friends did too), which is one of my favorite things ever and so very hard to find, and my friend's thought their's was excellent. The desserts were excellent, too. We all thought my vegan chocolate mousse was sublime. And the drinks. Overall, we were also informed that the kitchen was more than willing to accommodate any requests to make any item vegan if possible, and that was a nice touch. Our server, Julian, was as excellent as the food, friendly, willing to accommodate us, and funny. Overall, highly recommend Seasons. My non-vegan friends loved it as much as I did.

    While the service staff was great and attentive, the overall dining experience was disappointing. The pizza lacked flavor and didn't resemble a proper wood-fired pizza. The ceviche was overly salty and unappetizing. The Khachapuri was decent until we discovered that the bottom was burnt and had a residue from a dirty surface, as evidenced by the black residue on the paper wipe. The steak was poorly cooked, excessively salty, and had an inconsistent burnt taste. Our hunger quickly waned after trying a few dishes, prompting us to leave and seek sustenance at another nearby restaurant. It was indeed a serious letdown.

    Once again Katerina, the chef, has amazed with superb new and creative food! The pear soup was divine, the caprese out of this world. Under Ben's management and leadership this has become the absolute best place in Davis!

    We have been dining at Seasons for at least 25 years. When it changes ownership or gets a new chef, sometimes it takes a little while for things to get up to par but it is still always good. The ambience, comfort, and service NEVER disappoint. Our dinner last Saturday evening was not at all what we have come to expect. The problem…. The menu! 3 entree choices, a tofu steak, a traditional steak for $52, and a glorified hamburger. (The smashed fried potatoes were great). The salad and pizza offerings seemed like something striving to be different from any other menu, but offered little appeal. What has happened to our favorite “go to” restaurant!!!! Waiting anxiously for the next iteration!

    This is a jewel of a restaurant! The food is delicious, the service attentive but not intrusive, and the ambiance very relaxed and comfortable. The menu is somewhat limited, but they bring in new items regularly. We enjoy eating on their back patio, which is fully shaded and feels wonderfully private.

    A clean, nice place to dine with friends. Service was attentive, accommodating and professional. Odd menu choices, especially for appetizers. Salad was fresh but with underripe components (it’s peak season). Smash burger with a crazy bread wrap was impossible to eat. Overall restaurant is a comfortable place to dine with friends. It’s not not inexpensive, for both food and wine, so it’s disappointing that the menus was so lacking for our group of rather adventurous eaters. We enjoyed the place and dining with our friends, but the menu is misguided.

    Head Chef Katerina is amazing. Seasons is now hitting way, way above its weight class. Clever menu items, good presentation, upbeat service staff. You can tell when a place is well managed. This is without doubt the best restaurant in Davis.

    Ok sooooo I know Seasons just got a new chef & I’ll comment on how I loved loved the lamb shank - perfection! Farro was flavorful packed & supported the richness of the lamb perfectly. My other dishes missed the mark - but alas Chef is brand new to Seasons- I enjoyed first hand listening to her involvement with staff & love to know she’s very close with local farming communities - Im excited to see how the menu evolves with the new fresh vibes Chef will bring .. ! As for the service it was enjoyable - laid back & professional - truly setting up to be a fave of mine in Davis ! I’ll be back!

    As always Seasons delivers. Their chef is excellent and supplies a variety of great menu choices. This visit include a ‘to die for’ cold watermelon soup with a very slight kick. As usual I had the harissa bavette steak, and my wife had an excellent pizza followed by an excellent salad. Waitstaff are excellent, manager Ben is always effervescent, and the wine choices are good and reasonably priced. Seasons is by a long shot the best dining experience in Davis.

    Very busy night so orders came out slow and we didn't have time for dessert before our movie which we told them about when we arrived and in comments on Open Table reservations. However, the staff was very nice, explaining delays and the food which we ordered were all starters which were tasty. We have been to Seasons before and will return again.

    Our server was lovely. The food was good. My disappointment came that the menu online was NOT the menu for the week. This has now happened four times and it’s unfortunate as I had to pivot last night from what I was planning on having to instead having a burger. Please either keep the menu updated or take it down from your website

    We were really impressed with Seasons Mothers Day Brunch, especially since we had chosen it for its physical convenience. The brunch was a delightful mixture of sweet and savory served family style and the service was impeccable. It was our first time at this restaurant, but we intend to return.

    We go to Seasons when we want a relatively quiet, "non-student" environment, with a dependable menu and excellent drinks. It checks all these boxes! We need more restaurants like this in Davis.

    Patio ambiance was fine (chairs could use some lumbar pillows/support) but I was really glad we were not inside as it is super loud. They had a set tapas menu, which they had called us the day before our reservation to check if that would be ok with us. I told them that my husband and I had some dietary restrictions such as dairy and they said that wouldn't be a problem, just tell our server. Every course had dairy so there wasn't much my husband could eat but he wasn't that hungry so it ended up being ok. The server was as helpful as she could be but with the set menu there wasn't much she could do. There were a couple of items that were really good but most of the food was just ok. The dessert was edible but disappointing. The chocolate cheesecake had a skin and not enough chocolate to make it chocolatey but enough to detract from what makes a cheesecake nice and the crust was not pleasant. The lemon berry tart had so much berry sauce it was like eating a thin jam and for me it was overly tart. I did really enjoy the rose blush martini, which is good since it cost $15. Overall the experience didn't meet our expectations for the cost and left me wishing we had gone out for sushi instead.

    We had reservations for outdoor dining. As we sipped pre-dinner wine at the bar, we enjoyed excellent service and care from the bartender. Unfortunately, our service, after being seated inside the restaurant, (rather than our reserved outdoor table) our table service was slow and not what we have come to expect from Seasons in Davis, CA. The incorrect entree was delivered to one of the two guests in the party. The correct order was eventually brought to our table….it took a long time. My second glass of wine was never brought to our table but was included on our bill. The reunion with my high school friend at Seasons in Davis was lovely, but the dining experience and service was poor.’

    Seasons has turned into a fine restaurant, especially under Ben’s management. He is a dwervish shooting around and speaking to everyone and making people feel comfortable. People like Ben make or break a restaurant. The food is very good, not high end, but good. If you ask for the salmon to be rare, it is cooked rare. The meatballs dish is one of their best; the cheeseburger is excellent. Their wines are fine. Prices are excessive for Davis, but the overall experience is positive, the waitstaff is competent, and one almost always walks away with a good experience.
