Great food and staff we will definitely visit again!
Food was deliciously presented! There was a variety of menus options, though vegetarian limited. Service was attentive and not invasive. Little ambience but amazing value. We’ll come again.
This is our 2nd year here. Loved it ❤️ Rooms are very nice and comfortable. The dinner was very good to. The different music is very nice to make everyone happy.
Wonderful Christmas Day dinner! There were not too many restaurants open in our area, so we were happy to find Seasons at the Green. Besides their regular menu, there was a special plate containing turkey, ham, yams, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. It was delicious. The atmosphere was romantic and the prices were reasonable. We’ll come again.
Came during Dec. It was great! The Half a million Christmas lights display was amazing.
I had the salmon. My dater had the Surf and Turf. Excellent. the best part of our meal was our waitress named Hope> What a super star!!!
Our server went over and above to make our dinner wonderful. She did a fantastic job taking our orders (8 people) and delivering our dinners to the correct people, impressing all of us greatly. It's a great restaurant like restaurants used to be (same server from beginning to end....I absolutely hate when another person brings out the food & makes everyone identify who ordered what)- we loved it!
So on the day we visited of course there was a huge group of 40 visiting also. It took forever to get a waitress to come and take our order. We ordered an appetizer and bottle of wine. The bottle of wine took 20 minutes to get to us. I thought this was way too long. The appetizer was crab cakes and they weren't so great. Three small crab cakes for $12 and they didn't seem cooked all the way through. My hubby had the Sirloin steak and Tiger Prawns and he was happy. He had it with rice pilaf and was pleased. My dish on the other hand wasn't so great. I had a pasta dish with chicken and veggies in a spinich sauce. It really was tasteless and needed seasoning. Their bread served with butter was sweet which neither of us cared for. Our waitress was super sweet and very apologetic because she normally wasn't a waitress and was filling in vecause they were so busy. Overall, I want to say this wasn't a great experience but it could have been because they were overloaded with guests.
We ate here two nights in a row had tru tips, salmon both nights! It was so good the first night we decided to dine here again! Good size portions and fairly priced
Okay for the location, but the totality of the circumstances smacks of less than great management and attention to detail. This is a classic example of a small town restaurant trying to be a big city dining experience, and missing the mark. The menu items are big city, the prices certainly are as well. Unfortunately, the mediocre presentation, plastic tablecloths and low quality service sours the deal.
Food and service was excellent. Would certainly recommend it to anyone
My wife and I have been there now 3 times . One of our favorite places. The lighting was very soft and soothing, The music was quite and very nice . We had the salmon it was perfectly done , the carrots were sweet and very good. The rice pilaf was tender and very flavorful. We had the white Zinfandel wine slightly sweet with a soft taste. We had the berry crisp with ice cream for desert. Very tasty. Was and awesome meal
Excellent everything. Our waitress, I forgot her name and asked for the purpose of being able to express how personable, sweet, friendly and professional she was. An abundance of food. So delicious.
We had a waitress who only came to take our order and bring check. She never checked on us and our food was awful. We came for prime rib and they were sold out by 7. We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer and they tasted like they had been fried in old oil. I ordered a sirloin and my husband a new York. His was over cooked and both severely packed in seasoning. The "sauteed veggies" were just steamed carrots, the mashed potatoes were cold and I ordered salad but the honey mustard had gone bad and neither myself or my husband could eat it. We will never be back
An upscale restaurant with moderate prices. Very personable wait staff. Menu has plenty of choices.
This place is a trip back in time! Great ambiance decent prices and good prime rib! The clam chowder was excellent. The resort has amazing gardens and is a very unique experience. Reasonable wine list and great staff mAke this vintage resort a memorable experience.
Food was not the quality expected
Staff was friendly but service was slow
Restaurant dated and dark
House wine was thin and jammy
Felt like a night out at a chain diner rather than a nice restaurant
The Lodge and rooms and grounds could use an update, but the dinners more than made up for it. Service was great, town is cute. Great place to stay if you want to see the covered bridges, and go wine tasting. Would go back!
The food was very good and a great value for what you paid (entrees are generous portions come with soup or salad). I would give it a five star rating if everything about the restaurant, including food presentation and garnished were not so outdated. The entire establishment needs a make over.
We were treated to a very nice dinner on Wednesday evening. The food was good. We had a salmon dish, a pasta dish and steak. Our appetizer was prawn cocktail which was also good. The carrot cake we shared for dessert was very yummy!!
I stayed at the Village Green Resort for 3 nights and had the dinner package all 3 nights. The first night I had Prime Rib with garlic mashed potatoes, clam chowder, and shrimp scampi. Night 2 was Cajun Chicken in a tri-colored tortellini with white sauce and red pepper bisque soup. Night 3 was chicken fajita soup, shrimp scampi, top sirloin with 3 panko breaded shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes. It was so much food I had leftovers. Everything was excellent.
Had their tri tip special. The garlic mashed potatoes needed more garlic, but overall was tasty.
This was my fourth visit. The deal through Travelzoo is an oustandig value. The dinners and musical entertainment were exceptional and the rooms were beautiful. We spent an enjoyable day visiting the wineries and covered bridges.
We were planning to stay two nights. Our room and patio was so filthy I was ready to leave before we stayed one night. We had planned for dinner on our second night; I immediately changed the reservation to the day of arrival knowing we would not be here for the second night. The room was disgusting. The sheer curtains were so filthy I couldn't sit next to the window. They were gray with dust and the top of the curtain had layers of webs and filth. The TV was the size of my laptop ( exaggerated), I rolled to the middle of the bed all night describing the quality of the mattress AND no refrigerator. I had medication that needs to be refrigerated and when traveling; I use the frozen blocks in insulated containers. NOTHING available. We asked the cocktail bar to freeze the ice bars. Somehow the freezer went off during the night and VOILA next day: no frozen ice bars. All of this was troublesome and inconvenient.
The dinner was very good; we enjoyed it; the wine was ok. We left early the next day. Enough....
We had a dish of Chicken Marsala and one of Surf and Turf. The chicken was tender but the sauce was mediocre. The steak portion of the Surf and Turf was tasteless and overcooked. The fried shrimp was OK. The garlic mashed potatoes were inedible - tasted like leftover baked potatoes with garlic flavoring.
We very much enjoyed our meal at Seasons at the Green and our server was very nice. My husband had the crab-stuffed trout and I had the honey-mustard glazed salmon. Both were very good.
We stay at the Village Green on every a year on our way between Seattle and California. We always book the dinner package and really enjoy the Chicken Piccata!
Lovely setting, excellent value. The crab-stuffed trout was excellent. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the steak was not cooked medium rare but rather closer to well done. We sent it back and they brought another one that was also overcooked but closer to medium. Otherwise, everything else was tasty and we enjoyed being there!
Wonderful Easter dinner. Food was excellent as was the service. It’s why we keep coming back
Dining room is terrible outdated and dark. Plastic table cloths don’t offer anything and the very dark lighting keeps it too dark. The food is very outdated with no flare to add to the experience. The whole experience took me back to the 70s. The Village Green has potential, but unfortunately the owners and management appear to have absolutely no vision.
We stayed in a standard room which was in an older part of the hotel. The room did not smell fresh and needed updating badly. One part of the property was cordoned off because the roof of the covered outdoor parking had collapsed. Most of the property looked neglected.
We had made reservations and were seated right away. Then we ordered our meals and chose the wine. Our bottle of wine arrived, the friendly waitress poured our glasses and shortly after that our meals arrived. I had ordered the crab-stuffed trout and my husband ordered the 12 oz steak. Both meals were very good but we could not eat it all because the portions were very generous. If I were to dine there again, I would skip lunch that day. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Excellent price-performance and service! Staff well-trained and knowledgable about food choices,
willing to accommodate special requests, as in "No sauce on the meat, please. On the side."
Huge portions! Enough for 2 meals.
The Seasons at the Village Green was a very average experience. The food and wine was acceptable but not outstanding in any way. The service was also unremarkable. My husband and I will not return.
Seated right away with our reservation. Wine and bread were brought to our table right away with salads following soon after. Then we waited, and waited. Finally after about 40 minutes, another waitress other than ours came to ask how our meal was....we hadn't eaten our entree yet, our waitress forgot to put our order into the kitchen. Our entree appeared about 20 min later. The food was delicious but not sure worth the wait. A complimentary dessert was sent to our table, which we took home as we were too full to eat it then. Staff was polite but not sure how this could happen.
Great meal, outstanding food, quiet seating. Good wine with great presentation. Would go back as often as possible. Value was a key.
Great ambiance but needs some background music to drown out conversations. Service was great! our steaks had a lot of gristle so that was a little disappointing. One side of booth barely allowed even my wife to squeeze in. I couldnt. Hope thats not true with every booth. Never had that problem anywhere. i would still recommend it!
The dining area was nicely decorated and quiet. Our servers were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Our meals (Tri tip and Shrimp risotto) were outstanding, large portions and very delicious.
We stayed at the Village Green resort recently which included dinner in the restaurant. Our dinner was very good with a lovely presentation and good service. It was very quiet the night we were there and our only complaint was there was no music playing in the background so made it a bit uncomfortable to talk as you felt everyone could listen. The place could use a little ambiance and soft music would help.
Great food and service, but for the ambience I would suggest some background music to set the mood.
