The oysters were very nice to start, bread not special, presentation was good.
The short ribs however were not up to par, very dry, veggies over done, rice cakes not pleasing at all.
Sable fish dish was fine.
Overall seems like service is a little ..scrambled.. maybe just a bad night?
Venue was inside the hotel, which was unexpected. It felt more like a diner than a restaurant with the seats on the corners being “bar style”. Host was great, polite and full of energy, however our server was void of personality and not very quick. Food was excellent, however somewhat overpriced.
Food was outstanding! We will definitely be back!!
Came here for Happy Hour on the long weekend. We ordered the following:
2 Dozen Oysters (Buck-a-shuck)
Lobster & Shrimp Po' Boy
Spicy Tuna Bites
The oysters were like buttah! So fresh & tasty!
The Lobster & Shrimp Po' Boy was okay. The bread was delicious, but the filling seemed overprocessed. I missed the thick chunks of Lobster you normally get in a Lobster Roll. Also I love Gomae Sauce & even though the menu stated it had gomae dressing, I'm pretty sure it was missing on ours.
The Spicy Tuna Bites were different. The nori was deep-fried so had a nice crunch to it, but I wouldn't say they were spicy.
The Chicken Karage tasted like it was mostly skin & batter, scarce on the meat, but the flavour was good.
Overall, not bad for happy hour.
Good variety of small plates, good happy hour. Excellent cocktails. And every dish we had was prepared perfectly. Cudos to the chef. We will be back.
service that we received were outstanding through out the night.
Excellent restaurant for seafood and drinks. We've been here 5 times and always great food and service. Will definitely come again!
Buck a shuck is great value! Good amount of horseradish, cocktail sauce and vinegar(perhaps a sherry vinegar seemed a little too sweet) A nice experience overall, drinks and food came quickly. Waiter was attentive but we felt pressure, as if he wanted us to spend more money on dinner even though our intention was to have drinks, appetizers and happy hour bites. Some of the comments made felt a little pushy or we just misunderstood. Would give it another go maybe to catch the end of happy hour and part of dinner.
Overdone seafood, poor presentation, too much bacon in the chowder...
Good wine and great service though.
We had dinner on their small patio (3 tables) and the food was excellent. The lobster rolls are like a perfect miniature sandwich - yum! We also had the daily fish & chips (with Halibut) that was coated in a black batter - looked a little disconcerting, but one bite and we were sold!! This little restaurant goes the extra mile to keep food fresh and exciting. A nice change from the larger chain with a more standard menu. So far, this little hidden gem in the Seaside Hotel is one of my favorites in the Shipyard area! Great service too!
A great meal and fantastic service in a lovely setting.
Service was excellent.Ailee the bartender was great as well as our serverNote name badges would be helpful I know he was from France.
Food was great along with presentation only negative was the pork belly in the scallop dish.
Great night out, only second night since they re-opened so menu wasn’t what we expected. Food was very good and service was great
This is a great place to try very expensive but worth the experience.
I went with my fiancee and another couple. I had made a reservation but when we arrived the manager on duty couldn't find a place to seat us except the table closest to the bathroom, which is unacceptable. I asked if we could wait for another table and he seemed annoyed by that , however, he directed to sit by the fireplace while we waited. We got a new table after a 10 minute wait, which was fine. Our server was nice but I think he might have been the only one working. He seemed to be rushing us, but wasn't rude about it. Our food was hit and miss. My fiancee and I got the Valentines Tower (oysters, lobster benny and smoked salmon tater waffle) and everything was cold. Obviously the oysters should be and they were delicious, but the cold lobster and shrimp on the benny with the cold avocado made the egg and the hollandaise luke warm and not very pleasant. The tater waffle got cold with the smoked salmon and creme fraiche on top. If the waffle had been hot before the salmon was added, this wouldn't be a problem. Our friends had the steak (which was delicious and perfectly cooked medium rare) and the fried chicken sandwich ( I didn't try it but she really liked it). It took FOREVER to get our bill and by that time we were the only people in the restaurant ( by this time it was 2pm on a Saturday). I probably wouldn't go again and I would tell my friends to proceed with caution. It is weird to me that a seafood restaurant did better with meats.
The service is phenomenal. As a new restaurant, aiming to please, they have done a wonderful job of staffing. And the Spanish ham!
My husband and I frequent Privisons for brunch and love our meals. The staff was great on Fri Jan 31, despite a very busy and hectic dine out evening. The main meal, the hen, was a bit dry; otherwise, the food was marvelous. We will always be happy to return to Provisions.
We started off our brunch with Prosecco suggested by our server. It was perfect. Eggs benny was exceptional as was the gnocchi. The tots were devoured by four ladies and were yummy! Friendly customer next to us had oysters which she said were the largest she's had and really delicious. One more thing to try. We'll be back.
First time at this new local eatery. Not disappointed. Interesting menu and well presented. Went during Happy Hour which was great. Will go again.
The tapas menu is too weird. The same sauce appeared on two different dishes.
A very expensive mistake on our part!
Maybe your raw bar is better.
Will not return.
