Menus are both serious and fun, with creative twists on New American Classics for Weekend Brunch, Weekday Lunch, Dinner and Happy Hour. Dishes range from shared plates and small bites ideal for the whole table, to farm and ocean dishes that you'll want to keep all to yourself. Very underwhelming food. Dishes were really just mediocre. Service good, ambiance good, but the fact that it was a Saturday (though early evening), there were very few people there. Probably won't return.

The place was dead on a Thursday night. So we left. Bummer because it’s a great looking place with friendly staff.

The restaurant was a ghost town and offered a very limited menu. Thankfully I asked about the menu and that it didn’t seem the same as online. They then (and only then) explained that they were closing in 4 days. See u later Searsucker!

Food was lackluster. Ordered the Pappardelle, it was undercooked and had no meat. Returned it and they finished cooking it and added the meat. Poke had no flavor. Drinks were watered down. Waiters were great though, they did what they could to make our experience better.

It was pretty good...very not crowded, which was kind of odd considering the size of the place. But the food was good and cocktails pretty good (not as excellent as they should be given the price).

We celebrated out anniversary here with our children and had a fabulous experience. Both of my children wear hearing aids, so I was really impressed and grateful when the hostess seated us and volunteered to turn the loud music down for us. We all thought the food was absolutely delicious, and I found my new favorite drink with the “Mule it over.” Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Searsucker heavily promoted their monthly 80's brunch online, but when we showed up attired in 80's garb, no one else was dressed-up. Not the servers or anyone else in the restaurant. Our waitress did not even know about it. When you promote a theme, you should be ready to commit to it, otherwise you make your customers feel foolish. This shows a lack of communication between the restaurant staff and marketing folks. Prices were a little high for what you get, the food was not bad, but the experience could have been better. My family and I will not be returning.

Not a good omen when at 7:45 on a Friday night of a holiday weekend....Del Mar racetrack open that we were the only ones in the restaurant. Go to Gaslamp Seersucker...much better.

This restaurant has a really cool vibe. The food took way too long to come out in my opinion. There was hardly anybody else and the restaurants and it took over half an hour. Everyone was very nice and the koi pond is cool for the kids.

I hate to say it but the food was terrible. The shrimp and grits was probably the worst I’ve ever had....what’s with the popcorn? The broccolini app was basically raw broccoli, tough as hell.

We have been here a few times over the years and the menu has started feeling more interesting and less tasty. Took my husband for his birthday and we spent $100 on dinner and both left feeling meh about our meal. Unfortunately we won't be back as that is the 2nd time that has happened. Service was great and the place is beautiful but the food is meh at best.

Terrible food. Both wife and I got sick after ordering the entrees highly recommended by the server. Recommended desert was a soggy/stale upside down muffin with a scoop of ice cream. They don’t take passport card and not worth spending over $100 for a meal of 2 without drinks. We will never go back.

We ordered two entrees, the halibut and the pappardelle with short rib ragù. The halibut portion was very small and it was somewhat over cooked. The pappardelle was just okay, not a rave. This was our first visit to Seersucker and I had higher hopes. Maybe it was better when Brian Malarkey was the owner. We were there at 5 pm opening time on a Sunday. No one was there except for two women in the bar for Happy Hour. The restaurant had only one other table filled by the time we left after 6:00. That said, we were pleasantly greeted upon entering and had a very nice waiter. Service overall was good.

Pretty bad from start to finish. Host wasn’t warm or seemed particularly interested in seating us. Table layout is also bizarre and we were seated at a four top that was right up against booth seating. Tuna was way over cooked, medium in temp. Server was more of an order taker and didn’t go over anything on the menu. Vibe as bad, empty restaurant, couldn’t wait to get out of there.

I remembered Searsucker as some place special, a place to go to try something new. Now it has a tired, over-priced menu. Maybe that’s why the place had only 4 tables in use at 7p on a Sunday. Our server was fine, great personality but put in the wrong salad.

Seersucker North County / Del Mar was fantastic! Service was a touch slow, but that's being nitpicky. This place is great! The menu is diverse and creative, without being stuffy and unapproachable. The location is a bit awkward, as is the parking situation for it, but again, that's being nitpicky. Back to service, it really was exceptional on a whole - it just felt a bit like the crew was trying a little too hard? They weren't being themselves. Looking around at the diners though - maybe that is the service that is expected in this higher socioeconomic area? Anyway. Final thoughts. Rockstar dining across the board! Looking forward to trying the other locations and possibly dining with Seersucker again if we find ourselves in North County / Del Mar again. Thanks across the board to the team!
