About Searsucker Austin

Searsucker embodies the social dining experience by encouraging guests to come early and stay late.

Inspired by the simplicity, relaxed and feel-good vibe of the seersucker fabric, Chef Brian Malarkey created a space that invites patrons to relax and enjoy. The airy design features a glass enclosed kitchen, a lounge space with comfortable seating and a lively bar area. Patrons can watch the action, chat without boundaries and feel as if they’re at a friend’s dinner party rather than a restaurant.

Chef Brian Malarkey’s menus are both serious and fun, with creative twists on New American Classics. Dishes range from shared plates and small bites ideal for the whole table, to farm and ocean dishes that you’ll want to keep all to yourself.

Open for Dinner, Weekend Brunch and Happy Hour.

Fabulous service from Madison and team. Coursed appropriately, accommodated all sorts of dietary restrictions, not a bad dish in menu. Group enjoyed the infused cocktails, as well.

Visiting Austin for the day and looked up a few places but this one stood out. Service was great along with the food. We got there before the Sunday brunch crowed came. No complaints about this wonderful place

We had a group of 9 girls for a bachelorette brunch and the restaurant was perfect for a group our size. Our server was super accommodating, since several people had to leave early to catch a flight, and let us order in separate groups. There were several other sizeable groups at the same time and I was pleasantly surprised at the overall sound level. The chilaquiles were delicious! And the avocado toast was a hit too after a weekend of excess.

All the food came out at once which led me to believe it was all sitting back there waiting to be served. Three of the five dishes ordered were barely room temperature, and the dishes ordered were not serve cold dishes. Taste of food items was good but I just expected hot food. Service, attentiveness, ambiance, drinks, etc. were all good. I’d like to return for a second visit to see any improvements.

Post-industrial building that felt vibrant and cozy on a cool fall night. Had a great time and ate the full range of the menu (drinks, appetizers, entree's and dessert). Innovate versions of foods I am familiar with. We had a drink spilled early on, and service (multiple people involved) never missed a beat in helping mop it up and getting things back in order. We will go back and try it again.

The food was very good. Large portions but that’s ok- I may not eat everything but I hate restaurants that give you ridiculously small plates. The service was excellent- very attentive without being intrusive or having the feeling of being rushed.

Searsucker is a wide-open space with a limited but well-procured, and flexible, menu. The service is very friendly and mostly attentive and polished. The food is fresh though options somewhat limited. Ambiance is nice, huge-open space and nice bar set-up. Prices fair to value and venue. Convenient parking (or valet next door at night).

A friend gave us a gift card and we had not been to Seersucker before. My wife and I have "date night" every Friday so we got a reservation through Opentable. My reservation was confirmed and a reminder email sent before the date. We arrived and were seated immediately in front of window open to the street - exactly what we requested. The service was fast, the waiter made good suggestions and answered questions. The food was great! His wine suggestion was too. Overall, we loved the experience and recommend it for older folks like us (60's) and the young crowd.

Overall a pretty good experience. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was all really good. Only thing I could complain about was no refills on the $3 cup of coffee. But it was pretty good anyway. I'd go back.

Since I was eating alone I sat at the bar where the full menu is offered. The fruit infused liquor, house cocktails were very good. I enjoyed three different ones during my dinner. My dinner included their House made spicy pickles, Beet & Burrata on salad/toast, Pork Belly (with Poached Egg and Hollandaise) and Squid (with Lime Creme Fraiche). Everything was very good as well as the service.

Clams appetizer is delicious!!! We also shared the swordfish, scallops and steak. Served on a big share platter which was super fun.

Best of all. Half price wine on Wednesday's!!!

It wasn't very busy which was
surprising. But second time I have been here and both times were really good.

Like the food. Like the service. The only issue we had was no bubble in my champagne, but they agreed to open a new one for our order of 1 glass.
Not many customers on a Tuesday evening after Labor Day, so plenty of seating to choose from. Very spacious. Great venue for function of large groups.

The first impression was the nice open atmosphere, and food and service were excellent!
The only complaint was how loud the music was later in the evening. I know because of the area the restaurant is in, it attracts a young, hip crowd that probably is ok with that. We were meeting old friends before a show at Moody Theater, it made it hard to feel relaxed and not distracted. I will say the experience was overall good, and we will probably go again if in the area.

The restaurant staff did not understand "gluten free" requests and brought contaminated food. I recognized the problem and didn't eat the part I worried about. I had called ahead to make sure they offered gluten-free options. I think they need better training to understand that celiac patients will get very sick when eating gluten. Thank you.

The food runner dropped my coworkers salmon on the ground. They made her another piece but never offered to comp it or do anything to compensate for the wait for another piece of salmon. Nice restaurant but usually when you're stuck waiting for food on a mistake they made, you usually get some type of compensation

My group came here for dinner on a bachelorette and we had a great time! We sampled and passed around each others drinks. I had the Snake in the Grass and it was fantastic and refreshing. The food was great and we shared various items. Loved the hummus dip, pimento cheese dip, pork belly, and deviled eggs. Such a wonderful place with a great atmosphere, dj, and great staff. Would recommend to anyone visiting Austin.

This was our second visit. The biscuits alone were worth coming back but the steaks we had the first time were sensational. Had the salmon this time around and enjoyed it. My wife's steak was burnt on the bottom but they immediately replaced it with no complaints. The second steak was much better. I plan to try the pork chop on my next visit.
