I came in for Mother's Day and it seemed like a well oiled machine. We ordered to share the PB Bar which was pretty sweet but hearty, and the Lemon Cake that had great texture, flavor and something like this should be on every brunch menu. I also had the baked eggs which was full of flavor and was small enough (a good thing) that I could order some side veggies that we could share at the table. We got the cauliflower and the asparagus which were both cooked and seasoned perfect. The worst thing that happened is the server forgot to bring our cauliflower but brought it out promptly after I reminded her. This is the best thing that Kenmore has to offer and the best thing the North of Seattle even though its on the cusp of being on the East side. Try it, you might like it!

The restaurant is tops for interesting ambiance, safe and welcoming community, plaza for kids to play outside. Service great, and the food is splendidly prepared.

This is a nice addition to the Kenmore area. The restaurant is attractively high ceilinged and full of daytime light, on two levels. Our food (brunch fare; bacon and eggs for one, a ham and cheese crepe for the other) was delicious and service was pleasant. We were pleasantly surprised that the crepe was thin and delicately crispy enough to be readily distinguishable from a pancake, and the breakfast potatoes were perfectly browned and crisp. Great mimosa, and another cocktail we tried was nicely made and served, just a tiny bit dry for my taste. I’ll try a different one, another time.

We arrived at prime lunchtime on Mother’s Day and had no trouble getting seated, so clearly the word on this place is not fully out. I hope this review helps, because I want them to thrive and stay around.

Pricey & slow service. Sitting outside on a nice dsy eas lovely. Menu & service disappointing.
Menu limited unless you love puzza. Lots of variety for pizza lovers. No small salads...I didnt like their style French fries which were extremely over cooked. Burger good but pricey at $18. Not much in the way of desserts either and no fresh fruit.

Hubby and I just moved to Kenmore from Greenlake. I grew up in Kenmore and know a lot about the area and boy am I happy they are getting some awesome restaurants like Seaplane! We were so impressed by all the food, literally nothing we didn’t like. And yes service wasn’t super fast, but it wasn’t bad by any means. They had a full house! Glad to see restaurants with a “Seattle” vibe coming into the area. Definitely recommend checking it out.

We had high hopes for this restaurant based on all the reviews and the reputation of the owner. Although the food was decent for a casual light meal, it was a bit underwhelming and overly priced for what it was. If I were to want a drink and some light food, I might consider coming here, but not for a main meal. We enjoyed the atmosphere that was open and airy.

This experience was hit and miss. The tuna dip and excellent and the braised carrots were very good. The cocktail was also very good (vodka, huckelberry shrub, lime and orgeat - YUM). The pizza we got was very disappointing....greasy and plain. I've had some excellent gourmet pizzas and this reminded me of cheap store-bought pizza. I expected much more from this restaurant. I think some acoustic baffling would be a big plus as this location is extremely noisy.

The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and checked in with us often to see how we were doing. The only reason that I gave 4stars for service is that it took a long time to get our drinks out when ordered. The food came out within a reasonable time, it just took a long time for the drinks. This could have been because the restaurant was busy and the bar was backed up. This wouldn’t keep me from dining there again.

Horrible table placement. We were seated at a 2 top that was placed in an aisle between booths on one side and a table of 6 on the other. No one - wait staff or customers - could walk past us without bumping our table. Our bottle of water was almost knocked over multiple times. It was very uncomfortable. The table itself was too small even for two people. We ordered a pizza (which is maybe 10 or 12 inches in diameter) and it filled the whole table. Thanks goodness we finished our appetizer before the pizza arrived because there was no room for more than 1 item on the table. It was the most uncomfortable dining experience I ever had. Stop trying to jam as many people into the space as possible.

Beware of their soft serve dessert. You may think it's soft serve ice cream, and you'd probably get this idea from the big sign over the soft serve machine that says "ice cream." The menu only refers to it as "soft serve." It is not ice cream. It is frozen yogurt.

I will not be going back.

This our 3rd meal at Seaplane. First time shortly after they opened and was great. Seems to keep getting better! After living in downtown Seattle for a year and a half we got spoiled with all the great food options. We wondered if we would find places we liked as much now that we live in Bothell. We no longer feel the need to drive to Seattle for a great meal out. We plan to take family and friends to Seaplane!
The service is fantastic!! Have had great interaction with management and servers. Alyssa is the best!! We will request her to be our server when she is available! She is friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu!

Nice decor with a nice buzz of activity. Service was excellent from the first impression with the hostess through the entire meal. Our server couldn’t have been more gracious and friendly.

The drinks were ok but it was a little odd to get an up martini in a wine glass plus the martini olives were small and had no pimento or any other stuffing.

Had the kitchen sink salad to share which was pretty good and the dressing was terrific. We ordered a hanger steak and the brick chicken for entrees.

The chicken took longer and, unfortunately, the steak must have sat in the window waiting for it. The steak and veggies were both room temperature and the steak was well done instead of medium. The sprouted broccoli ended up being broccolini instead, which is a much more bitter vegetable. The server agreed and took the entree off the bill.

The brick chicken was ok. It had good flavor but not the crispiness you expect for that dish.

We had great expectations and we’re excited to have a fun place in our general area for future date nights.

With the prices as they are, we’ll have to think it through before trying again.

Made our reservations through Open Table. Worked great! Got right in, server appeared quickly. The Cranberry Shub (it's a non-alcoholic drink) was unique, and delicious! the other 3 had different beers, which they also enjoyed. We shared the 'smoked tuna spread w/sweet chips' appetizer. OMG! We all could have made a meal of just that!!! Amazing! And the roasted, parmesan-crusted green olives were, again, unique and delicious! The 4 of us split two pizzas with unusual toppings. Bottom line, the menu offered a unique mix of foods and flavors (with clever airplane-related names). The place was full of happy, chatty people enjoying a relaxed dinner. Loved that there is a special place for families with little kiddos to eat. The noise level was a little louder than we were anticipating, but I think it was partly because noise from the upper loft seating drifted down to the main floor. It wasn't a problem - we just had to lean in and talk a little louder to be heard. The pricing was moderate, and portions were just right. We left feeling satisfied, but not stuffed. We shall return!!!

Thrilled that the north end of Lake Washington is getting more dining options. The pizza was GREAT! Rivals the best of them- thin, charred, flavorful. Salads need to be a little bigger or more developed. It was fine but doesn't match the quality of the pizza. Great vegetable sides. Go for it.

Easy for family, noisier than I like but there are quieter areas.

Great cocktails! Makes you care less about the noise!!

Finally! A nice new place in Kenmore for any occasion.
We had to try the pizza and it did not disappoint.
Also shared the "Kitchen Sink" salad, which had only a few veggies and somewhat strange tasting dressing.
We were there on a Friday evening, the place as packed, and yet the service was friendly, efficient and timely. We'll be back to try the Gralic knots and something from the grill next time.
Cheers Seaplane!

Overall, a very good restaurant for food and ambiance. Much of the food was fairly spicy, which I liked, but my wife not as much. We (6) were at a corner table near a window, so the ambiance was great. We were able to have great conversation with our meal. The servers were attentive and refilled our water regularly and checked on us frequently. It was a very good experience for all of us.

A great idea and will be a great summer place. To get to your table you had to weave in and out of people and for being a big guy the was uncomfortable having to do that. Maybe a little wider menu would be nice. The Smoked salmon and sweet potato chips were the best. Salad was great didn't care so much for the meatballs. Enjoyed sharing the orders and the next time we come....and we will, we will go for the pizza. Also will bring our son and his family with us. I'd recommend it to any body....already have!

Terrific place for dinner with friends. We were told when seated they encourage family style dining. Pizzas are big and great for that. Other dishes (pasta, brussel sprouts cauliflower) are very small. Chicken was very salty. So nice to have a new option on Kenmore-- will definitely be back.
