Nice neighborhood pub in downtown Vero Beach. Sean (2nd generation in business) most helpful. Good place indeed!
Very good food. The braised short ribs are excellent!
Only one other customer when we entered, no employees to be seen. Waited a couple minutes to be greeted and told to sit where we wanted. We ordered our drinks and the loaded tots for our appetizer. Tried new craft beer and tots were delicious. I ordered the Kentucky Bourbon burger and fries, my wife got the beet salad. Everything was great tasting so far, so we decided to order the bread pudding, our only mistake. The dessert was microwaved, soggy, bland with a heaping amount whipped cream. Overall very good meal, maybe just skip on the desserts.
Spur of the moment decision the night before Mother’s Day. Hadn’t meant to come off the barrier island but glad we did. Irish fare was excellent!
Our first visit to Sean Ryan's Pub was awesome...we will return. Our waitress was fantastic, knowledgeable and truly customer service orientated. Kudos to her and the entire staff.
The service was slow but not unexpected. The Kentucky Derby was on and the restaurant was full. And many places in our small community cannot hire sufficient staff now.
The burger was delicious and cooked just how I specified. Awesome tater tots! Our waiter had a great personality and was a lot of fun!
Visited while on vacation in Vero Beach and really enjoyed the food. Sean waited on us and extremely friendly and helpful when selecting what to select off the menu as they had many great sounding items. I ended up getting the special Blackened Mahi and it was outstanding. My wife got the Shaved Prime Rib sandwich and it was equally good. If you like homemade chips with a little spice, I would recommend those also instead of fries. The other items on the menu were definitely Irish and sounded great.
Food was excellent and so was the service.
Food was okay. Seemed like a cool bar but we were there for dinner. But what bothered us ... zero covid restrictions. None of the servers had a mask on. None of the patrons. No social distancing. It was like covid didn’t exist.
We had corned beef and cabbage and shepard's pie. Something an Irish pub should nail. Corned beef was so tough could hardly eat. It was rubbery and thin. Barely edible. The potatoes instead of boiled were oven roasted probably hours before . Dry and shriveled up. Again, did not eat. Cabbage and carrots were ok. Shepard's pie the meat tasted like plain browned burger with no seasoning. The potatoes were instant and piped onto the pie then not baked or broiled. Pure white instant potatoes on top. Never saw server after someone else brought the food. When done couldn't find server for check. Went to bar to get service stood there ignored until bus person saw me and went and got me help.
I never do negative reviews, look in here or Google. Can't imagine where the people with all the positive reviews ate...
But you need to be warned.
Probably a great place to grab a Guinness, but do not go for a meal.
Sean was a great host. He took care of us like we were family
Ordered the corn beef and it was too tough to eat... told the waiter and busboy and they both ignored us and walked away. Will not be back.
Disappointed in the size of the conch fritters but they were delicious. The beer battered cod was excellent.
Service was excellent! My sandwich was very good. Husband had the reuben and one side was super dark, not quite burnt, but edible. Live music was great! Definitely will be back.
Thought the place was great. Our lunch was awesome! We are definitely going back.
Good service and food in a friendly pub atmosphere. We’ve been here before and will return.
Great neighbor place. Very friendly, great service, really good food. I had the shepherds pie which was excellent
Quick lunch. Good food, cold beer, great service.
Shepherds pie was good. Corned beef dinner was too thinly sliced like for a sandwich. Good Irish beers at a good price
We chose Sean Ryan Pub for our Thanksgiving dinner with family. Great food and service. This was our first visit....and we can’t wait to get back! Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service! Nice restaurant and Pub!
Picked it because the menu sounded authentic. Arrived in our masks (it is a pandemic!) but few others had them. The food sounded far better than it tasted. The scallops and risotto my husband had were so overcooked you could’ve bounced them like a ball. And for $22 there were only 4 Small sea scallops. The risotto had a nice flavor but was quite gummy. My grilled cheese with short ribs and horseradish sauce was missing the sauce and the short rib meat was terribly dry. We also ordered the potato skins special appetizer, which came with 3 small skins for $9. Really, the prices of the food rare absurdly high given the quantity and quality. Disappointing for sure.
Great meal, great service
A great local place to eat and drink in downtown Vero Beach near the county courthouse. Ate at the bar and got attentive service. Probably should expand its wine selection for wine drinkers like me. Would certainly return for food and drinks!
We looked on Open Table for a casual place to have dinner in Vero Beach. Since Sean Ryan’s Pub had such terrific ratings, we decided to give it a try. At first, I thought we had the wrong place as the initial impression is that of a sports bar. However, we were greeted warmly and were asked if we wanted a quieter booth along the far wall which we opted for. Our waitress was prompt and attentive and before we knew it we had our drinks and food. This is Irish comfort food at its best. Nothing fancy, but delicious, fresh salads and meat and potatoes type Irish favorites. Just what we wanted! We had the house salad, mac n cheese with short ribs, the skillet rueben, and a shepherds pie. All were plentiful and delicious! We will be back!
A nice "find" in Vero Beach. A nice selection of well prepared menu items and excellent service. We will be regulars.
We plan on returning with guests for trivia night!!
The food here is consistently good. The servers are excelllent. We love Tuesday Trivia.
Sean Ryan Pub was great! The food was good, the beer was cold, and the service was attentive. There was a singer performing, but she was not all that loud. We were checked on by both an apparent manager and possibly the owner. I would definitely recommend Sean Ryan especially on a busy vero Friday.
We never made it past the appetizer menu to order an entree, but we did have five appetizers and they were all incredible! Delicious food, great service, great atmosphere.
It was our first visit and we enjoyed it very much. The reuben is the best we've had in a long time and the fish & chips were great too. We will definitely be back.
Nice, clean, attractive atmosphere. A wide variety of food for very reasonable prices. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious!
We went to Sean Ryans for my birthday. The Fish and Chips were amazing, as was the Bread Pudding.
We have already said we will be going back soon.
Wonderfull experience. Great service, food and drinks. The home made dessert and low noise live music were the cherries on the cake.
5 of us enjoyed refreshing brews and cocktails while lively conversation ensued. Meal orders were taken by our attentive server who brought our appetizer without a hiccup. Entrees were served exactly as ordered and as tasty as promised. We will return in the future for another most enjoyable evening of drinks and vittles.....
Food is normally very good, service was excellent, in particular from Server Victoria.
I would recommend to a person who really likes Irish fare. Plus the onion rings and the Rubens are excellent.
Very empty on a rainy night, waiter a bit dull, fast service though, Corned Beef seemed shaved rather than sliced. Fish and Chips good, nice portions.
