Started with an appetizer and the tortilla chips were stale, the Spinach dip was horrible. We just decided then to pack it up and leave. The frozen Margarita was good though and our server was pleasant and attentive.
The place was not what I was expecting.
It appeared to not be the cleanest place when we walked in the door. Once we were seated It took about 15 minutes before anyone came over and greeted us and took a drink order. The waitress was very nice and checked on us after that.
We did have to ask to the waitress to wipe down the table because it was covered with food and sticky.
I thought the drinks and the food was very expensive for what you were getting. I guess they feel you should pay a premium for sitting next to the beach. I ordered a Cobb salad which I think was $13 and to add chicken to it was another $11. So $24 for a salad at a casual place seems out of line.
The experience was OK because of the outdoor seat and over looking the beach.
Waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious. Seating was also amazing and comfy.
The view was awesome and so was the food, the service the seating and music. It was all good.
This place used to be good food and not too bad on the prices. But lately every time we go the portions are getting smaller and the prices keep going up. If you’re going to go up on the prices you can’t make smaller portions as well.
I had a great time. Service was great
(had a little hiccup) I won’t mention but overall a great time, live band was awesome and the ambiance was spectacular. -Vic Resto Showroom Partners Entertainment YouTube/Showroompartners
Our waitress was very sweet and kind however service was very slow. The premade frozen beverages were subpar but the fresh margarita was good. We enjoyed the atmosphere but you definitely pay for the view.
We enjoyed a couples night out on the beach. The food was delicious, and the scenery was fantastic.
For the price of the food, I was surprised it came out in disposable bowls and plates on the deck.
Kitchen was off this evening. Burger was overcooked and the coconut shrimp were actually awful. They are not jumbo shrimp as described and were completely split open and packed with the coating. You didn't even know there were shrimp in there. Really surprised over this since Capri and SeaGlass strive for excellence.
But the staff was great. Our server was attentive. Cocktails were tasty. The restaurant manager introduced himself which is always nice. Of course we will be back and hope the kitchen is having a better day.
Food was absolutely horrible. Sad because the concept and view is great but the food is so bad that I’m surprised they can stay open.
Overpriced mediocre food
Awesome beachfront location. The food was good and the vibe was fun with live music. At 8pm the vibe was way more of a bar/music club than a dinner spot so I would probably try to go a bit earlier next time.
The good: Beautiful views; Good, reasonably priced drinks.
The bad: The food was expensive and not great. The DJ kept doing long, very loud sound tests during dinner (We were there 5:45 - 6:45). This was on top of the music being played at the restaurant so there was often two different, very loud songs playing at the same time. It sounded terrible and we couldn't talk at our own table.
People who just order drinks can sit right on the ocean, which blocks the view if you're at a table. For $30+ for an entrée I would hope the diners would get a view, but nope.
The website says to park at Blue Ocean Event Center but the guard told us they don't have parking for Surfside.
Great location, food was good and so was our server…we’ll be back
Million-$ view. Service was great. Food was good- we had lobster tacos, poke bowl, coconut shrimp
It was a beautiful night to be outside and Surfside has a beautiful view of the beach, ocean. Creative cocktails, good food
Great venue. Food was good. Small pours of wine
You go for the view and entertainment
Had a great, beachfront meal before a show at Blue Ocean Music Hall. Haddock tacos were fantastic, spicy but not too spicy. Salad was flavorful too.
The server was very pleasant and the view was outstanding. The haddock and lobster tacos were great, as were the fries and onion rings. It was an expensive lunch but worth it as a splurge for the oceanside dining experience.
A new annual destination from 2 hours away!
love it here. the location is amazing. the food is good. the drinks are good. the view is great and everyone is so nice. we come here over and over. and we’ll be back again and again.
Delious food, staff was so friendly and accommodating.
Slow service, plenty of workers. Given no silverware until we asked. Asked about sitting at a high top for a better view - no, it's reserved, yet in the 90 plus minutes we were there no one showed up to sit there. Out of crab cakes and ribs at 6 pm. Have been there several times and it is continually going down hill.
What a gorgeous evening on the deck! It was 90 and humid everywhere else but cool and comfortable there. Excellent food and service.
Regarding noise level, we were not there while the entertainment was performing, so no teal opinion on that.
It was a hot day and we ate outside. Our server was wonderful and the salads were excellent. A little pricey for what you get, but you’re also paying for the water views.
We loved our experience at SurfSide. There really isn't anything else RIGHT ON the beach. It is amazing to see the surf through the glass rail along the front. The service was slow and not very attentive but giving them some slack because they were probably short staffed. They got our drinks wrong twice - again, giving some slack. The DJ was awesome and I felt bad no one was dancing. Maybe we just need time to come back out of our Covid shell. Overall, the vibe was wonderful. I loved my haddock sandwich! So yummy. I will go back again as always, just looking forward to better, more personal service soon.
We were right on the water and the ambience was amazing! Took my out of town, land locked cousins and they loved it!! Thank you!!
amazing location. The food is fairly pricy. I'd put it in the star category for cost.
servers were great and working hard -- there were only two for the whole deck.
Location and Scene is great! Can't wait to go back. The lobster was delicious and cooked perfectly for the roll and taco's... as was the haddock taco. Pulled pork sliders were delicious.
Awesome location, service and food/drinks.
First time at SurfSide and we had an awesome table overlooking the water. Evan our server was fantastic and very attentive. Pina colada, rum bucket, crispy chicken sandwich and lobster tacos were all delicious. The manager even came over to our table to get to know us.. we will definitely be back!
I had requested a table by the water or one of the bungalows in the corners, as this was a birthday lunch for my mom. I was delighted when we were sat in a bungalow, and the hostess wished a happy birthday to our group! I appreciate them paying attention to the comments section, and delivering! Food was great, and atmosphere can't be beat as it's a tropical, fun time on the beach. We've been a couple times and plan to return!
food was overpriced, served in paper and plastic plates. Salads- priced at $15 serviced in small soup bowl dishes.
Waitress was great. Music from speakers was too loud. We had to request a different table. Parking was confusing. Area is down trodden.
Great service, great food and beautiful view right on the water!
The service was excellent, we were at a table that looked out over the ocean. Wonderful Father's day lunch.
Service was slow. Drinks and food were ok for the price paid.
Justin was great! Best server I’ve had in a long time. A little disappointed that we were unable to sit at a high top closer to the water, as several were empty the entire time we were there. We were told they were reserved. We had a reservation, too. But there is no option in OpenTable to request specific seating. Hostess was a bit rude when we asked if there was anything closer. This is what prevents me from higher marks.
Food was good, not great. Atmosphere was good, service outstanding. Drinks were pretty good, as well.
Our server was particularly attentive and courteous. Food was delivered in good time, except for dessert which I had to ask to server to check on multiple times.
