Seagar’s Prime Steaks and Seafood

Great food, mediocre service. There were multiple servers for each table, but it took 45 mins to get my water refilled one time

Wonderful experience. I went with my girlfriend and were treated like royalty. Food was amazing; kind of pricey but well worth it. A large loud group came in at the end of our meal but the servers tried their best to keep them from the rest of the restaurant

Service was absolutely excellent for our party of 8. Patrick and Jasmine did an outstanding job for us.

This is one of our favorite places to dine. It is high end so expect higher prices, but the food is excellent and the service is as well. I usually order the Dover Sole, but I plan to order steak next time. We order french onion soup as a first course. It was very rich and I could not finish it. This could be ordered with a salad and it would be a sufficient meal.

Seagar’s continues to be the “best game in town” in the Destin area. This is reflected in the arrogance that Seagar’s exudes. In spite of this, the food and the service continue to be the best in the area. Our steaks were excellent and would recommend them as a menu “must get.” The wine selection is outstanding, but I felt the sommelier advice was more aligned to maximizing cost than true good value. Our server finished the evening with a great version of cherries jubilee.

The absolute BEST lobster chowder we have ever had! The blackened lobster was also perfect, very moist. A wonderful experience. Will definitely return.

Took my wife to Seagar’s for her birthday. The staff did an amazing job at celebrating her big day. The food is absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back.

A few of the extras were a little overpriced. Otherwise, everything else was excellent. Brandon was an excellent captain.

This was an anniversary dinner and we were treated like we were the most important guests. The service was personal and professional and the food was prepared and plated perfectly. This is a great place for a special occasion.

We were asked to go to the bar while they got our table ready. - They forgot us - 40 min later we went to the desk and asked what was the delay?? Food arrived to the table warm at best. Overall - not a great experience - wait staff was good

They had the best dinning experience I have ever had. The quality of food was unmatched by any other comparison in my opinion. The service is unbeatable! Oh, and I loved the live piano player. It really sets the mood.

This was our second time at Seagars. We were not as impressed as the first time. Was disappointed

Beautiful place, service was very up scale, staff all and many there were looked clean and productive. Had a small problem with meal and it was corrected in a pleasing way. Will goo again when in the area.

Reservations at 8pm. Arrived 7:50. We were seated at 8:45. The host was also the sommelier and the busboy It was weird. There were several families along with mine that waited well past their reservation time. The staff acted like they couldn’t care less. We were served our food at 9:40. It took forever to get the food. All that being said, the food was a 9.5 out of 10. The prices a little expensive but the food is top notch. The service is complete unacceptable for a nice steakhouse. We are well traveled and always visit nice steakhouses. This was the worst experience we’ve had at a nice restaurant, with regards to waiting. We will not return. You should know this upon making reservations. If you have time to wait, check it out.

Seagar's was an excellent place to eat during our staycation. We live in Fort Walton Beach, and my husband won a 3 day 2 night stay at Seascape. We had both eaten here many years ago with our ex's, and I wanted to create new memories for us. The service, drinks, and food were excellent. As it turned out, one of our waiters was on the FWBHS swim team back when my husband coached it. What a small world! We didn't have to wait very long in between the appetizer, main course, or the dessert. Our waiters, the restaurant manager, and others made sure we were taken care of, and all of our needs were provided for. They kept our table clean, water full and drinks replenished when they were close to the bottom. I definitely plan to come back during our next staycation. Thank you Seagar's for helping us make new memories of our time there!

Aside from the hostess service, we had a great experience. We arrived early, but the hostess told us our table (which had been reserved for 7:30) was not ready and to check back in ten minutes. We did so, only to be told our table was ready but we couldn't be seated because our server wasn't ready. After waiting another ten minutes, again told we couldn't be seated and to check back in five. After waiting nearly a half hour past our reservation time, we were seated. Thank God the food was everything they said it would be, or the rating would be significantly lower. Really need to up the service levels, especially at the hostess stand.

Always a great night at Seagar’s. Lots of new faces and food options that are a tad different. Overall still great but a notch under the previous years.

Ouch. 350.00 later I had hard, unripe melon with prosciutto which I sent back. Seriously I wouldn’t have served cantaloupe that hard in my own home, awful. Next was the Dover sole served table side for 50.00. All I tasted was capers. Shame to ruin a piece of Dover sole. Dining partner has the special, NY strip bone in. Again that salt cellar ruled supreme. Couldn’t taste the flavor of the steak. All in all the servers were good if not pretentious as the food was pretty lousy. Kinda like if they described how great it was, the diner would buy into the hype. Sorry, I’ll pass this restaurant next time I’m in here.

The chef should be more accommodating. We tried to start our evening with an appetizer before ordering our meal and were told that was not possible because “the chef wants your entire order at once”

A restaurant charging what Seagar’s charges should be more flexible

First of all - it just doesn't get any better than Seagar's within hundreds of miles! That said, we celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary here - and it was wonderful! I had the bone-in Filet and while quite pricey, it was just okay at best. But the appetizer (Fois Gras) was fabulous, as was the spinach salad. My wife had beef tornados (two 8 oz filet's) with a truffle and mushroom sauce - wow! It was fabulous (yes - she was nice enough to allow me a taste or two!) We enjoyed a complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary - and shared a bottle of Mondavi Reserve Cabernet (you won't find a wine selection/cellar anywhere close that compares!) We finished with a peach Foster's for dessert - and it was as expected - fabulous!

The atmosphere, the bone-in ribeye, and lobster bisque were outstanding. I was not a fan of baked potato and creamed spinach sides.

Overall good experience and convenient if staying at Hilton Sandestin.

This was, without a doubt, one of the best steaks I have ever had. Service was great considering the crowd. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

We have been to Seagar's before and enjoyed the food and the experience. We went back for our 51st anniversary and were very disappointed. Food: The steak and the grouper were excellent. The crab cake was very pungent of old crab; the French onion soup was very strong. I could not eat it, plus it was served with a soggy piece of bread and some cheese on top. Not done in the oven.
Service was marginal. Very disappointed in the quality. We sat for a considerable amount of time before anyone took our order. A young woman would show up and then a gentleman in a suit. Waiter and helper? After our order was taken, we finally got some bread and drinks. Appetizers were served and we finished them; then the plates sat for almost 15-20 minutes before the waiter came over and asked if all was ok? We said, no. Plates had sat way too long and no one had refreshed my husband's tea. He had to ask for it. Told the waiter that the service was lacking. He said he'd get on top of it.
I wouldn't say it improved too much. Main courses were served and again the plates sat in front of us. Where is water service?
It seemed the tables with the larger parties got lots of attention. It was noticeable and it is not appreciated. For this reason I am unable to give this review a no.

Always the best service and food. We are from New Orleans and also have a condo in Destin, actually our balcony is right next door to Segars. It always a must that we go there everything is always perfect. Great staff.

My daughter and I visit Seagars 3 times per year. We've been coming for 11 years. It is crucial to occasionally escape to a place where the sorroundings make one feel elite and carefree, if only for one evening. Dining at Seagars is like flying first class: it lifts the spirit and gives a fresh focus on your life, not to mention the experience of cuisine that is rare, unique and piques the tastebuds unlike any other fine dining experience on the entire Emerald Coast.

This place was amazing! Made my wife and I feel ever so special on our anniversary. Service was absolutely wonderful and personable. Food was amazing and kudos to the chef! Most defiantly coming back soon.

This is possibly the best steak house even better than Morton’s of Chicago the staff was awesome and attentive highly recommend
