Enjoyed the food, ambiance and it’s BYOB! Great service!
Service was exceptionally slow, which would be forgiving on a busy weekend night; however, we dined on a Tuesday, and was the only table in the restaurant (besides a couple carryout orders). Also we were really disappointed by the fish quality. The spicy salmon had a weird mayo and the salmon was slimy. The namasake sushi was stringy looking and fell apart as I picked each piece up. Also it was very odd that each namasake was covered with sesame like seeds - I never had sushi before which was sprinkled with seeds. Not sure if it was trying to mask something but it was a texture and taste turnoff when you are just looking for clean, fresh tasting fish.
This is a terrific place, although no parking: good public transportation nearby.....small or large groups accommodated.....terrific food....will definitely go back....
Excellent food but very slow. We arrived very hungry. Other tables also seemed to be waiting for food.
This was our first visit to Seadog. I was a little put off by some of the reviews that said the service was slow but that was not our experience at all. The service was fantastic. The restaurant is lovely, but a little cramped depending on where you are seated. The food overall was good but a few things we had were a little bland. BYOB is a major plus.
Don’t go in hungry.. the food takes a long time. But it is good once it arrives
Food was excellent but it took over an hour to get our food. The staff was great. Just never experienced that long of a wait there before
Place had excellent food and great seating. Would highly recommend to anyone! Only feedback was that service was a bit slow. Great place to eat!
Great spot in the neighborhood
Good food. Liked the pictures on the menu and the range of simple sushi rolls to more fun/complicated. BYOB is always a plus.
Great selection of sushi, rolls and other dishes including a great green tea cheesecake that is amazing. Highly recommended.
Their sushi was fresh and delicious! I ordered the sashimi platter and several uni sushi. I was not disappointed at all! They also have free parking out front, which was a nice bonus. The atmosphere was romantic, dark, and moderately quiet. Definitely a great restaurant to have a dinner date with friends, families, and couples.
Great experience. Food was great! Loved the atmosphere too. Would highly recommend for a date night.
The fish did not taste fresh and the sushi was warm
The food was delicious. However the services was slow and overall pretty poor. They have a deal for parties of different size we did the party of 10 for $225.00, were you pick 6 different app, 9 Maki rolls and 8 specialty rolls. However it was not explained that if you order an appetizer listed such as Goyza, it is one order (4 dumplings) we assumed since this deal was advertised for a party of 10 you would get enough to feed the whole table at least one. We waited about 20 min between first few plates then everything came out at once like rapid fire. Like I said though the food was good maybe with a smaller group it would be better. As well as this place is BYOB they didn't charge us a corking fee so Idk if they have one.
First time at Seadog. Food is great but took some time for food to come out but it was a busy Saturday night so not surprised it took a bit. Regardless service was good. I’m all about BYOB, no corkage fee. I’d come come back.
Nice relaxing ambiance. Food was good but not the best. The service was slow and didn't seem busy. Waited for more than one hour for my sushi order
Just loved it! Was great service and staff was very alert and hospitality was amazing welcoming feeling.
It was extremely crowded to the point it was uncomfortable. Service was not good. Disappointing choice for my friend's goodbye dinner.
Service was slow. Friendly. Food was okay.... love the fact that it was BYOB. Chill vibe no rush to get out of there but gets real busy on a Friday after 8
What a great little neighborhood gem! We were looking for a vegan friendly place for my colleague and opted to try this out. The sever was able to easily steer us to vegan options. Overall service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was excellent and beautifully plated. I forgot to take pics!Very glad we braved the snow to check it out.
Great place for a birthday dinner of 8 people- reasonably priced and delicious sushi!
It was a quite evening here due to the weather. The service and ambiance was excellent. They have a creative menu with sushi options that you don’t see every day. This place is also BOYB so it was nice to being a bottle of wine that we love from home and enjoy it with great food. We really enjoyed our evening here and will be back again.
Excellent sushi and rolls. The Hamachi rolls are fantastic.
Sushi tasted fresh, fresher than a lot of places where I have been. I was very impressed by their selection. I ordered the salmon teriyaki as well which was delicious.
Had a great window seat, fantastic food and great service. Will be back!
Went here on a date with my boyfriend, we loved everything we tried. They had different options from other sushi spots we’ve been to. Our food took some time to come out but it was so good, worth the wait. They were also playing some really cool house music, awesome vibe here. Would definitely recommend! Also BYOB with a liquor store right across the street! Win, win
We had a table in their back room by a defunct staircase that was full off building equipment & office supplies. They crammed tables in this little room so you could barely slide your chair out or walk through the room to go to the bathroom. It was so loud with all the people that you couldn’t hear the person next to you speak and the service and food was just plain bad. Would never go back and wouldn’t recommend this place to others.
Seadog handled our large party with ease. Our food came out at the same time, and the server even split up our checks without having to ask. Would definitely recommend!
I have no roaming but the restaurant haven’t wi-fi
Food ok different sushi style a lot of sugar
We had such a great time at this cute little restaurant! Food was excellent as well as the staff and you can't beat BYOB. Will definitely be going back.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Seadog! Brought along several bottles of wine for a holiday meetup with some friends and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the expansive menu. Enjoyed some amazing appetizers (steak wrapped asparagus, tempura, miso soup, salad) and some inventive sushi rolls and maki. Service was prompt and courteous, ambiance was good, and food was fantastic. Can't wait to return!!!
First time here and we absolutely loved it! Sat in a fun raised alcove near the window, service was excellent, and the sushi was delicious! A few plates I wouldn’t order again, like the lava salmon roll (too much crunch and not enough fish for me personally) or the pan fried scallops (great flavor but I like mine a little more on the raw side), though I had THE BEST spicy salmon of my life! Not that mushy, minced salmon you find everywhere else; they used large pieces of fresh salmon with scallions and a spicy mayo that was perfect. Can’t wait to go back. Also, BYOB! :)
Service was very poor. No one came to our table after we were seated for at least 15 minutes. Then when I asked the server about the most popular items on the menu she just said “look at the menu you pick whatever you want”
The quality of the sushi was fair at best. You can tell it’s previously frozen. The service was not consistent at all. I had to wave down the staff multiple times. It was overall a very frustrating experience. Also, I noticed their advertisement of Michelin rating posted all over the front entrance. It is quite misleading. Do they even have a Michelin rating?
I’ll never go back or recommend this restaurant.
Fun place - would be good for any day! Great sushi at a good value.
Food was fine, but it took over an hour to be delivered to our table. We only ordered three sushi rolls. How does it take an hour+ to prepare and serve sushi?
Service is amazing! Food is excellent!
Great , beautiful sushi and BYOB so it keeps the cost down. Excellent sushi at an affordable
Price, try the appetizer called “the island’, AWESOME!!
