SeaBlue Restaurant & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
SeaBlue was the splurge during our recent Myrtle Beach vacation, and it was well worth it. We shared two appetizers, tagliatelle with rabbit sausage, and a pickled beet salad with goat cheese. Both were delicious. For the main course, I chose black grouper with haricot verts and duck-fat potatoes, and my dining companion had the duck breast with a duck sausage add-on, also with haricot verts and potatoes. Outstanding, truly beautifully prepared. There was no room for dessert. Eric, our server, took great care of us, and he paced the meal just right. Highly recommended!
We visited Sea Blue for the first time while on a recent vacation to Myrtle Beach. A co-worker had recommended that we eat there. Hillary greeted us and made us feel welcome and checked by our table later to see how we were doing. Our server, Patrick, made sure we were well taken care of. First, the warm fresh bread was scrumptious. The diver scallops were very delicious, they practically melted in your mouth, and the fresh fish of the day was very good also. My very favorite dish was the pumpkin cheesecake which was topped with caramel sauce and pralines--outstanding! It was a bit pricey but the portions were plentiful. We really enjoyed it.
Excellent menu the champagne simonent vin mousseux great choice with our seafood platters of lobster and grouper with fresh organic spinach salad fresh string beans creamy mashed potatoes. Waiter very professional and attentive checked with us periodically helped us with things we weren’t familiar with and talked about the house specialty steakhouse
Prospective diners should be advised that SeaBlue is pricey but never has the adage, "You get what you pay for" been more true! This was probably one of the 10 best meals we've ever had (my wife says "top 3"). The deconstructed lobster thermidor (special the evening we visited for our 35th anniversary) was nothing short of heavenly. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the mushroom and black truffle risotto I had with it was a perfect pairing. Speaking of pairing, our server (Patrick) made spot-on wine recommendations which really enhanced the memorable flavors of both dishes. It's a 3.5 hour drive from our home but we consider ourselves lucky to be able to drive here for future birthdays and anniversaries. It's a splurge but one you will not forget!
Well my husband had the lamb and he said was one of the best piece of meat he ever had. My crab cake was just ok. The Asiago potatoes were delicious. Great wine and cocktails. Cheesecake for desert was really good as well as the service. Very nice place but a little high priced so be prepared. Atmosphere is nice for a date or special occasion. Not a large place but I heard they are expanding.
Everything was amazing for our 5th anniversary dinner. A wonderful private corner booth. 7 courses with wine pairing were terrific. The first a perfect consommé to the last lovely chocolate dessert. The wagyu supplements were worth it and did not disappoint. Service was outstanding and the lovely hostess couldn't have been sweeter. It was truly a special occasion.
Friends were in town from New York City, we decided on Sea Blue based on their reviews. We typically discount reviews that seem bitter, or act shocked at prices. An outstanding experience, comparable to any fine dining experience in a big city. The Owners were on site and Checked on us while we had cocktails. Decided to go with both steaks and seafood neither of which disappointed. This is truly an amazing experience in a sea of mediocrity that can be Myrtle Beach. Craft cocktails and a world class wine selection only added to this phenomenal experience. A must try.
Since "discovering" SeaBlue three years ago, my wife and I make it a point to return on every trip we make to the Grand Strand - and on every trip, SeaBlue never disappoints! What can be said that hasn't been already? Impeccable and beautifully crafted food, an amazing wine list, experienced and knowledgeable staff, and a "true" fine dining experience that comes at an extremely reasonable price (approximately one-half of what you'd pay for a similar meal in Charleston or Atlanta.) SeaBlue is without question our favorite restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area, and one that we hope to continue visiting for years to come.
Probably one of the finest dining experiences we have ever had. The service by our waiter Eric was superb. My wife had steak which was amazing and I had the grouper which was the best I've ever had. We finished off with the expreso creme brûlée which I have no words for it was so wonderful. We've gone to Myrtle Beach for 20 years and just found this place. Can't wait to go here again on our next visit. Amazing!!
Met friends for dinner. Truly an amazing experience. From the handcrafted cocktails poured perfectly by the bartender, to the service at the table, I could not have expected a better experience. Comparable to any restaurant in a large metropolitan area. You owe it to yourself to visit this place.
We own a vacation home in North Myrtle Beach and are able to get down there four to five times per year. The #1 item on our planning list for each trip is to make our reservation at Sea Blue. It is without question an exceptional dining experience and we've NEVER been disappointed over the eight years we've been joining them each visit. Ken and Tracy have established the restaurant as one of the very best, period, regardless of location. The always interesting menu choices matched with picture taking quality presentations make every meal a unique and enjoyable experience. Those attributes are perfectly matched with equally exceptional service. Our waiter the past three times, Eric, added immensely to the total experience. Dining at Sea Blue is one of those "must do" for us and we cannot recommend them in any stronger terms.
